Something is weird somewhere. Mine has not had a CTD even in v1.0.0 Granted, I keep my community folder lean and mean. At any given time there are only two airports, one aircraft and one livery active.
-
Ok, but you said PFD. 1. Detune the ADF units. In other words, change the frequencies so they are not receiving an active frequency. This is as simple as spinning the knob just a digit. 2. Unless you have a PFD/FD failure, you should be "flying the needles" (the flight directors) on an ILS approach.
-
Are you not flying the flight directors for an ILS approach?
-
Do you mean the Nav Display (ND). The PFD is the artificial horizon and speed tape.

5.3. TACT MODE KEY Allows access to the current flight phase page (climb, cruise, etc.). Changes made to the strategic modes on this page effect performance only in the current flight phase.

In the mean time, take a look here. Emi knows what he is doing. Watch the whole playlist.

I have seen a few posts with similar reported behavior. I cannot replicate it. NAV(LNAV) has been spot on for me on procedures and route. Without looking over your shoulder (video) from FMC/MCU inputs and actually flying, this will be hard to help out on.

I wish I could say I remembered this from the FCOM, however, what really happened is I was taxiing out at KRNO and noticed that my CG was not displaying. I got in a hurry and skipped the flow. So, no traffic on VATSIM at the moment, I shut down the engines on the taxiway and filled in the INIT page 2, restarted the engines and took off. Before doing that, I kept trying to go to INIT page 2 and of course it would let me. Only gained access by shutting down the engine.

Well, it is not turning itself. The A/P is not engaged. Please make a full description of what you think is going on, however don't reference what the plane is doing when it happens if the A/P is off. Reference what you are doing when it happens.
-
Are your engines started when this happens? If you forget this page before you start the engines, you don't get a do over after they are started.

Apparently not, at least not automatically. You can always enter the SID/STAR waypoint/restrictions manually. That is what I do when I see something like this. I would also drop a note to the scenery developer because, based on what you are seeing, the issue is on their end to fix.

Your navaid/procedure problem is probably caused by the use of Navigraph in the simulator. This particular plane can only draw that information from the sim database. You have two choices: 1. Add the procedure waypoints and restrictions manually. I do this. 2. Remove Navigraph from the simulator (not from the aircraft that use it). You can do this with the first entry of the Navigraph application. From the FCOM regarding profile mode and spd When PROFILE mode engages: – The SPD/MACH window is dashed (speed/Mach is controlled by the FMS, the FMS target speed is indicated on the PFD speed scale by the blue index), – The TRP AUTO key illuminates (TRP thrust limit is controlled by the FMS). – In climb or descent the TRP TARGET window displays the FMS-computed target thrust. The A/THR modes associated to the PROFILE mode are: – P.THR in climb and for descent initiation, to maintain the FMS target thrust, – P.SPD in cruise to maintain the FMS target speed or in descent if speed or altitude constraints have to be achieved, – RETARD during idle descent. PROFILE mode arming/engagement is indicated on the FMA and by the illumination of the PROFILE pushbutton switch. The operating envelope of the PROFILE mode is from 1500 ft AGL at takeoff to: – GS capture (GS*), for a precision approach, or – The Final Approach Fix (FAF) or the Final Descent Point, for non-precision approach. PROFILE mode is not allowed for use on final approach (i.e. after the FAF or the Final Descent Point or 1000 ft AGL, whichever is earlier). In PROFILE mode, the speed is controlled to remain between VLS (Green Dot, if in ECON mode) and below VMAX. 7.12.2. Disengagement The PROFILE mode is disengaged by pulling the SPD/MACH knob which results in a manual reversion from managed modes to selected modes: – LVL/CH mode in climb or descent, – ALT mode in level flight.

That is what I currently use. There have been issues with some setups that are mentioned in the forum where the rudder overtakes the nose wheel steering on the tiller. I had not experienced this because I have set up dead zones on my rudder, so I can taxi out and not make an inadvertent input. However, if I conscientiously apply full rudder one way or another (like a flight control test) on taxi, I see what was talked about. I was perusing the Lvars to see if there was a direct ini Axis that could be used instead of the sim axis.

You are both right and wrong. Right in the sense that Navigraph is updated quicker and as a paid service there is a higher expectation and delivery of accurate data. Wrong in the sense that the sim navdata does update eventually and it is rare that you would happen upon a wholesale change of procedures and navaids (like happened last year in Mexico City). My hope is that ini allows the use of Navigraph in the near future. Right now, when I have run into a problem, I just add the SID waypoints and restrictions manually.
-
I can confirm that KRNO did not have SIDS listed when I departed there. My request would be that ini put Navigraph navdata (sim and fmc) on the front burner for implementation.

You may want to look at https://flightsim.to/file/66502/inibuilds-a300-streamdeck-xl-plus-profile-aao-scripts You can use the scripts on any device and unless you have Streamdeck that is all you will need from this. I have looked it over and it is very complete and done by a guy that is better than me.

Ok, sorry. I have not mapped the toe brakes to a button in a while. It will either max or none with a button. Next time I am in the sim I will look. Have you tried mapping it to the in sim event? It is something like brakes max effort...

A310 MSFS, first run CTD then second run black screens.
Crabby replied to CharlySeven's topic in Systems
It worked fine for me. I have not tried it since the update on the sim broke things. Too busy flying the A300 anyhow. When will Microsoft/Asobo release the fix? That is on them and a question for them. Frankly, if I had had another avenue, I would never have purchased the A310 on the store. It is the only thing that made me make a store purchase. I avoid the store like it was a plague infested covid leper. Why? What you/we are experiencing on the A310. I was told in an earlier thread that Asobo/Microsoft controls my sim on my PC. To an extent, but only to the extent of updates and servers working and I can fly without the servers if needed. I see too many folks have issues like updates on the store. -
The are mapped to an axis. I use the MFG Crosswind pedals. AXIS_LEFT_BRAKE_SET and AXIS_RIGHT_BRAKE_SET I don't use the Select Axis box. I use the Select Event Box. See the pic. Of course for the Right brake I use the

Doubtful. MSFS in game control profiles are and always will be limited to what they need for the aircraft they provide. Do yourself a favor and look into Axis and Ohs as well as SpadNext. Best 20 something dollars you will spend on the sim. The work with all aircraft.
-
I use AXIS_LEFT_BRAKE_SET and AXIS_RIGHT_BRAKE_SET for the toe brakes Parking Brake is as in the pictures. Take note that it is the same variable, but I am sending a 1 for on and a 0 for off

I use Navigraph and so far I have had no issues with SIDS/Stars. I have been to KORD, KDFW, KPHX, KSEA, KCLT, KMIA, KSTL, MMMX and others I can't remember right now. 10 or 12 flights.

Honestly, the only part of the manual I looked at was the EFB section. This came from my A310 pre-release reading of the FCOM. The A310 and A300 have almost identical operation, if not identical. So I honestly don't know if it is in the INI manual or not.

Press on the ALT knob to enter 100s mode then press again to return to 1000s mode. This is the knob you turn left and righ to change the altitude.
