  1. Greetings. Was wondering if there was a list Vars and Events to enable my hardware to control the L-1011? Looking for the inc/dec AFCS Alt knob in particular. Thank you in advance. John

  2. Hi, I’m currently flying the iniBuilds Lockheed TriStar using the PMS INS setup, and I’ve run into an issue related to simulation rate. The aircraft itself allows me to use sim rate x4 without any problem. However, the PMS INS does not seem to account for the increased simulation rate when performing its calculations. Specifically, the distance to Top of Descent decreases at the same rate regardless of whether I am at sim rate x1 or x4. As a result, during accelerated flight, the INS calculations become inaccurate, and the TOD prediction is no longer usable. It seems like the INS is calculating based on real-time rather than simulation time. Is this a known limitation of …

  3. SimBrief fuel imports still seem to be resulting in a displayed 400 lb imbalance. See attached screenshots. The SimBrief OFP has a total fuel amount of 120.0k lbs which is shown in the PFD. However, once loaded, the fuel totalizer only shows 119.6k lbs, and when I add up the fuel shown on the individual tank gauges, I only see a little over 116k lbs of fuel on board.

  4. Started by Prof_Plumpy,

Has happened a few times now, line up and start thundering down the runway. Some distance down the runway the rudder will go to neutral position and stop responding to joystick inputs. If you're lucky and near/past VR you can pull back and use ailerons to correct the issue. Eventually the rudder comes back into operation. My theory is the hydraulic system. Using brakes or tiller/rudder will deplete the hydraulic pressure very quickly. The plane has 4 systems and when you dab the brakes you can see a noticeable drop in system pressure. Usually A and B, then they are slow to recover. I let the FE sort the panel out but from past experience I turn on the PTU B-A sy…

  5. I decided to try setting up controls for the TriStar using my Honeycomb Bravo in SPAD.neXt instead of using the sim's built-in bindings, and I've run into a bit of a problem: the throttle lever in the TriStar's cockpit resets to zero (idle thrust) when the physical lever on my Bravo isn't actively moving. See this video: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1U7UFaQO1-VXJzfFhl_SA5pK43_ZUKs3R/view?usp=drive_link This is basically the last obstacle I have to cross in order to have all my controls for this aircraft in SPAD instead of the sim settings (I don't like needing to have settings for the same thing in two different places at the same time). I don't know if this is an air…

  6. This one falls into the category where I'm not SURE it's wrong, but it feels off. During the climb, I selected INS nav, VNAV for pitch, and engaged the autopilot. I then selected TM mode for the autothrottle, and it began a very rapid climb and increased the EPR to nearly .798 even though the EPR card suggested the climb should be in the .585 range intially. That seems VERY aggressive, and even exceeds the takeoff thrust EPR of .642 for the flight. Does that seem right?

  7. I saw that the recent 1.0.6 update addressed a bug I reported regarding the reverse animation not happening when activating reverse using the joystick method that uses the HOLD THROTTLE REVERSE THRUST button. Reverse thrust animation not working - Systems - iniBuilds Forum It turns out the update '''solved'' this bug by creating another one. Now, when I activate the button assigned for HOLD THROTTLE REVERSE THRUST on the joystick, instead of simply making the throttles to enter reverse mode so I can control the reverse power via the throttle axis, it activates full reverse instead, and I can't control the power via axis, which is totally counterintuitive. This is the 3rd …

  8. Since 1.06, it seems, manual waypoint entry triggers the aircraft to immediately sequence to the next waypoint EVEN when the waypoint being edited is NOT the current OR the next waypoint. The issue does not occur in manual mode, but I don't think it should happen in auto mode either, unless the waypoint being edited is part of the current leg.

  9. I've been flying using INS+GPS navigation mode and decided to test GPS-only navigation mode to avoid having to deal with INS. The problem is that I'm having trouble getting the aircraft to recognize the GPS route in this mode. I import the route into the GPS, ensure it's in GPS instead of VLOC, but the aircraft doesn't seem to recognize the route. On the HSI, the indicator of how many miles are left to the next yawpoint shows zero and doesn't point in the direction of the next waypoint. Because of this, the A/P doesn't follow the route. Curiously, this only happens when I load the aircraft from the gate, in cold & dark mode. If I load the aircraft from the runway, wit…

Master power is on and illuminated, but when I press "start", the "NG tachometer" and "TGT indicator" gauges do not function.

  11. If one of the INS units does not have a track initialised, it will not show wind data when that mode is selected. It should, since the only data required to compute this is the aircraft heading vs the sensed track.

  14. Bleed pressures are showing 50-70 PSIG on APU or engine respectively at idle. Nominal for engine start is 24. Looking at the new pneumatic system sdk, it appears one possible fix may be to modulate the valve position and treat it like an actual load control valve rather than a binary state valve. Additionally the HI PRESS lights do not extinguish at between 73-75% N3.

  15. People are reporting that in 1.05 the INS doesn't drift. In fact, it does. HOWEVER, upon entering any new waypoints, the INS POS is magically corrected to the aircraft actual position. See how all 3 INS units, with POS mode selected, initially show different positions after arrival at the gate, but then, upon entering the correct position into WPT 1, the position values all update magically.

  18. I went through the PMS setup process whilst using the new progressive aircraft loading system. I noticed that as soon as I entered the fuel and gross weight, those numbers began increasing in real time. This suggests that rather than using fuel flow data to subtract from the initial total entered during setup, this page is actually directly connected to the GW and fuel on board values. (This is also true of the EFDARS thumbwheels, which adjust for every change in weight). This cannot be accurate, since if the aircraft were able to sense FOB and GW on its own, there would be no need to enter these values into the PMS (as it is on more modern aircraft) I suspect it's s…

  22. The NAV1 DME switch on pilot side when switched to 'normal' enables NAV1 & NAV2 DME on pilot side Similarly NAV2 DME switch on copilot side when switched to 'normal' enables NAV1 & NAV2 DME on copilot side On other aircraft I have flown and what I'd expect is NAV1 DME switch on pilot side when switched to 'normal' enables NAV1 DME on pilot side & NAV1 DME on copilot side NAV2 DME switch on copilot side when switched to 'normal' enables NAV2 DME on pilot side & NAV2 DME on copilot side Anyone else find this to be the case?

I cant find a tutorial to use the remote function on the INS now that 1.05 has released. Will there be an updated manual that will cover this in the future? If anyone has a guide in the meantime, It would be appreciated! Also, does the AP only take INS date from INS1? Cheers!

  25. No matter what i do (Starting from cold and dark, starting on a runway, starting on a runway and manually selecting the ready for takeoff panel state), the throttle is limited to ~80% max, i have tried reinstalling the aircraft and streaming it , i have disconnected my stick, throttle and rudder before flying without success, the rudder indicator is also not working. am i missing something? before leaving the ground everything works fine. This is the max position of the throttle after lift off.
