When flipping on the engine anti-ice, there's no change in N1, EGT, N2, etc.... does the system work?

As soon as they spool up to full, the sound stops. When you turn them off, you can hear them spool down, but there's no sound of the brake fans running from inside. I've been enjoying this a lot!
