Nope. People who are on X-Box or who are not aware of the mod, will only be confused if the INOP button is removed and they still can't see a taxi-cam. And people who have to mod can simply learn to ignore it being there.

Not something I see. What are your in sim units set to? Maybe the culprit lies there?

Usually the disconnect warning bell should sound when that happens.

The INOP sticker can stay but please make the button clickable and connect it to simvar so that it those who don't have the mod still see that the cam is not implemented and those who have it know that they can still click the button and use it.

My suggestion assumes that lock mode is already being used.

I have not yet encountered this in the A380, but I remember that it happened at least once with the A350ULR on a flight from Singapore to New York. So whatever the problem is, it is shared in the code by both aircraft. And whether it is streamed or downloaded is not the issue, since I always had the A350 in the manager and not the marketplace.

I know this is kind of an obvious question but I'll ask nontheless. After you encountered this problem did you try it with any other aircraft as well? Add on or default? A Cessna 172 would be sufficient. Just to be sure that it is not the sims navdata that is somehow broken.

Just a heads up: You don't need to manually edit a screenshot to hide your Simbrief User ID. Just use the Streamer Mode option right above it, that will hide it.

Which is my suspicion why the INI A380 is missing the option. It is most likely that they had access to an Emirates A380. They have at least one technical consultant on the team that is an Emirates A380 instructor. And so they modeled it without it, even though all other airlines have it.

You do know that it makes absolutely no difference to performance whether you stream or download? Packages are only downloaded if they are needed. For example if you fly LHR to DXB with both airports being streamed they will only get downloaded once you reach a certain distance from it. Same with aircraft. What you fly is downloaded and the most important packages remain locally while the rest is streamed in as needed. Only on very slow internet connections would you likely experience stuff loading in slower. But reduced perfomance overall? No.

Does it also not respond to you fiddling with its brightness knob? I did that and it came back.

Haven't tested this myself but perhaps this tied to the performance mode and when the cabin isn't rendered the lights don't show up on the outside?

Does anyone read before posting? Kyle already acknowldeged the issues half a day ago and that a fix is in the works. So there is no point in further reporting that your terrain radar is not working. They know it is not working.

I used your picture and confronted it just to get a chuckle out of witnessing how it tries to wiggle itself out of it. It said the picture proved that its previous assumption was wrong. To wich I pushed back saying I didn't ask for assumptions, I asked for a definitive answer. The way it squirmed and tried to apologize and improve in the future (even though this is the exact kind of behavior with facts it displayed a year ago) was most amusing.

This is not a bug or issue report it is more of an observation and a suggestion for improvement: First of all I like that we now finally get an Aircraft from Ini that has a dynamic failure setting and we don't have to pick ourselves what fails when like we have to on the A350 (hopefully this will carry over to V2?) However the likelíhood of something going wrong is hugely exaggerated. I assume this was done to prevent support tickets from people complaining that despite them setting everything to dynmaic, nothing ever happens. After all in reality failures, especially bigger ones like engine failures, are very, very rare and a simmer who does fly only a fraction of the flighthours that a real pilot does on the type would probably never experience any ever. But however your system calculates likelihood, it needs strong adjustment in my opinion. I have done only two flights, both times using the jump ahead feature, and I had something happen on each flight already. On the first it was a fuel leak on the second an engine failure. While I don't have anything against ramping up the rate at which something fails compared to real life, that is just ludicrously excessive. So I suggest you change the algorithm that calculates whether something fails and make it more believable. I can't think of a specific ratio compared to real life overall, but depending on the part of the aircraft my gut tells me it shouldn't be more than 4 times more likely.

Serves me right for trusting AI. I was critcal of this tool from hell before and only tried asking it questions again after not using it for over a year after finding out it is full of shit in its answers and likes to double down on falsehoods. But I assumed it might have improved so I specifically asked it which Airbus types do have an option for a fixed derated Take Off. And it said the A380 doesn't. I will go back to not trusting its answers. 😅

It is missing because it is an A380. A380 don't have fixed derate.

Found another thing that doesn't seem to carry over, or maybe does not get saved at all. The failure settings. I set them all to dynamic on my very first flight. Now on my second flight with the same livery after a jump ahead I find them all switched off. Although it might be that they already were reset to off when I initially loaded the aircraft. So maybe that is a different bug.

Only if you downloaded it. Streamed aircraft update themselves as soon as you switch to another aircraft.

Odd. I run texture resolution on high and the OANS is sharper than yours and notably even sharper than then A350's on the same setting.

This also plays into the jump ahead feature. Because when you use that feature it also resets the cabin dimming level instead of keeping the value the player set it to.

I would even say that it is way more important that it updates the time when you set it to a custom time than with real time. Because this way you can start a flight jump ahead into real time and then land with the real actual time and weather.

Same reason. This aircraft is so abnormally large that compromises need to be made. This is also why there are no deployable emergency slides.

You don't have to take an actual photograph of your monitor to make a screen shot. Press the Windows Key and the Print Screen Key at the same time and then look into your screenshots folder. But I can confirm. I have the same problem.
