Pick where you want to fly from, then zoom all the way out until you can see the entire world and press fly now. Not a Ini issue. This is a work around. Let us know how you get on. -

This is normal behavior and happens in real life. You just have to use the brakes. Its best to go to 30 knots and then break all the way down to 10 knots. Its the most efficient way.
