Martin5042 Posted yesterday at 01:39 PM Posted yesterday at 01:39 PM I have noticed over several flights that when performing an ILS approach the Autopilot does not maintain an accurate course and glideslope and i have to disconnect the ILS and then re-engage. Not sure if this is a known issue. Also how do I correctly activate a CAT 3 Autoland ? I have tuned both Autopilot 1 and 2 with the correct ILS frequency/Course and when the plane is in landing configuration and established I have then activate autopilot 2. I must be missing a step as i cant make the autoland work...... Any guidance would be appreciated...........
Tripdog87 Posted yesterday at 03:05 PM Posted yesterday at 03:05 PM Are you using the Garmin GNS530 that comes with it?
IniJamir Posted yesterday at 04:09 PM Posted yesterday at 04:09 PM There are known issues with A/P Flight Logic and ILS Guidance that are being tuned for future updates 1
Martin5042 Posted yesterday at 05:14 PM Author Posted yesterday at 05:14 PM Thank you for an amazing plane........looking forward to the next update.......... So am i correct to assume that for now the CAT 3 Autoland feature is not yet implemented ?
ARR2 Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago Also having difficulty executing an ILS/Autoland. Finding that the Autothrottle will wind down below 245 kts but the speed doesn't drop below 245 kts, & if I start easing out the flaps, aircraft goes nose down rather than hold the glide slope. Using the Garmin GNS530. ARR2

They need to exist! Tried an ILS last night and it plain refused to even recognise the LOC signal. I've not yet managed a successful capture of either element regardless of how I approach from the STAR. How could something as required as this pass testing?
LNOSS Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Same for me! have to hand fly her now. LOC/ILS will not capture. Just flies by when it should have been captured. Looking forward to the update!
