  5. Hello, Mike here - I’m the Head of Aircraft Development at iniBuilds, responsible for leading all projects at iniBuilds with a primary focus on the systems and flight model work. I have been a commercial pilot in various capacities for much of my 20-year long career in aviation. I bring a wealth of real-world knowledge to the table at iniBuilds in day-to-day development in leading our flight sim projects from A-Z. Following Max’s deep dive into the initial art and visual side of the iniBuilds A340 Airliner last week, I’m excited to share some insight into what the technical team has been working on. In this update we’ll cover ongoing refinements made from community feedback (from last week’s post), new flight model advancements, and a look at the systems that will define how the aircraft feels to operate in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. ONGOING ART UPDATE The art team is very motivated to get refinements in after seeing the community engagement over the past week, that they’d like to update you on some points shown off in the initial update that have received further refinements throughout the dev cycle. Updated Engine Fan Blade Rotation Direction The engine fan blades were spinning clockwise, when in fact they are supposed to spin counterclockwise during operation, this has been addressed to complete the feature implementation of the new blades. See them in action below. Continued Wing Flex Improvements The wing flex is undergoing continued tweaking; however, we wanted to show you the latest state where we have increased the sensitivity of the wing and reduced the flex-amount on takeoff. This has been tweaked accordingly with reference videos, although bear in mind it will vary slightly depending on how much fuel is loaded, braking and wind direction, strength, and gusts. Further Updates to EIS1 Displays Work continues on the EIS1 cockpit configuration, with refinements made to replicate its well-known low-res character (compared to EIS2). The latest iteration features degraded edges on the PFD’s attitude and vertical speed indicators, along with a pixelated terrain mask, giving the CRT displays their authentic old-school look. As before, it is still work in progress! Rain & Weather Effects Immersion is key, and realistic weather effects are part of that. The A340 Airliner features wipeable rain masks across the windscreens, complementing the suite of atmospheric effects already in place - from engine condensation to wing vortices and vapor trails. Emergency Slides Along with our custom door handling logic that allows you to arm and disarm slides comes the slide deployment visual model. Following the usual logic, the slides will deploy automatically (or accidentally if you forget to disarm the doors) when the door is opened. FLIGHT MODEL MSFS 2024 Flight Dynamics The A340 Airliner’s flight model has been built from the ground up using MSFS 2024’s latest aerodynamic systems. A key feature is the new fuselage object implementation, which allows the simulator to account for the aircraft’s full shape - including its four engine pods - resulting in more accurate crosswind handling, sideslip behavior, and drag modelling. Ground Handling MSFS 2024’s new ground contact model powers the A340 Airliner’s taxi physics, giving the aircraft a more direct, weighty feel on the ground. Nose wheel inputs are now properly simulated - meaning overly aggressive tiller or rudder use can cause realistic skids, even leaving marks on the taxiway. Custom Flap & Slat Simulation We’ve taken full control of the slat and flap system, writing directly to the simulator for maximum accuracy. This allows for precise handling in slats-only configurations - something especially noticeable on approach at lower speeds. Engine & Performance Simulation Engine simulation has been expanded to cover EGT, fuel flow, FADEC behavior, oil pressure, and consumption. Together with a refined thrust model, these parameters recreate the A340 Airliner’s famously underpowered feel. At maximum takeoff weight, expect slow climb rates - close to 40 minutes to cruise at times - and sluggish acceleration compared to more modern Airbuses. Flare & Rotation Technique You will find that the A340 will need more of a flare than the A350 given it’s more aggressive FBW flare mode and will need correct rotation technique for takeoff. What do we mean by this? The standard Airbus rotation technique is for a smooth 3 degree per second rate and if you don’t follow this with the 340 you very much run into the risk of striking the tail as the 340 is very low on thrust for most take-offs it will need to be gently lifted off the ground. Fly-by-Wire Refinements The A340 Airliner’s fly-by-wire system has been tuned to replicate the heavier, less reactive feel of the real aircraft compared to the nimble A320 family. Unlike newer Airbus models, the roll doesn’t “snap” instantly back to level when sidestick is neutral - instead, you’ll feel a smoother, more progressive handling response right down to touchdown. We will be going into a further deep-dive on some of these topics in the 'Welcome to' video shortly before release, but this should give you a good flavour on what to expect! SYSTEMS We’ve been hard at work bringing the iniBuilds A340-300 to life with an uncompromising focus on system depth and accuracy, ensuring it delivers a true-to-life experience for our community. Every system on the aircraft is being carefully modeled with a high degree of fidelity. If this is your first impression of an iniBuilds airliner, you can expect a full suite of functional systems, from a detailed custom FMS with SIDs/STARs, SEC flight plans, custom LNAV/VNAV, custom hydraulic and electrical systems and so much more! If you've used an iniBuilds airliner before, you'll find our usual systems simulations included, allowing you to pick up where you left off and spend more time exploring some new bits too! Onboard Printer By popular demand, we’ve included a functional printer from day one. You’ll be able to print flight plan INITs, takeoff data, and weather reports directly in the sim, with physical printouts appearing on the tray table for easy reference in flight. Standby Attitude Indicator Caging The EIS1 cockpit features a fully animated caging mechanism for the standby attitude indicator, replicating the gyroscopic alignment in detail - a small feature, but one that adds to cockpit authenticity. Para-Visual Indicator (PVI) The PVI, a predecessor to modern HUD/localizer symbology, is included as an option for the EIS1 cockpit. It provides lateral guidance during low-visibility approaches and can be toggled via the EFB. DCDU & ACARS Integration Through integration with third-party ACARS systems, you’ll be able to communicate directly with online controllers via the MCDU and DCDU. This includes vertical and lateral clearances, weather requests, and even free-text messaging, bringing data link operations into the sim. MORA Display The Minimum Off-Route Altitude (MORA) grid is now available on the ND, providing clear en-route obstacle separation awareness. Autosave Our autosave feature from the A350 Airliner returns with expanded flexibility. You’ll be able to set custom save intervals, manually save flight states, rename autosaves, delete autosaves and reload progress at any time - ensuring your long-haul isn’t lost to a power cut or catastrophic failure. EIS1 vs EIS2 ND Logic Differences between the two cockpit configurations extend beyond visuals. For example, a noticeable feature of the EIS1 ND is that route curves will not display unless a direct to or hold is inserted - a quirk of older Airbus avionics faithfully recreated here. Cabin Temperature Simulation To model cabin realism, the A340 Airliner features a dynamic temperature system. Conditions are calculated from ambient temperature, pack output, and door states—so Antarctic turns feel very different to Dubai departures. The cabin is split into simple zones (cockpit, forward, mid, aft), each nudging toward its target with help from recirc fans and trim-air. On the ground, opening a door lets outside air swing the cabin temperature quickly, with the change happening dynamically. GSX Integration GSX support has been rewritten for the A340 Airliner, with full customization directly via the EFB. You’ll have the flexibility to tailor how GSX interacts with the aircraft, from ground services to passenger flows. EFB Overhaul The EFB has received a major update to its interface and logic, improving workflow across flight planning, loading, and navigation. Popular sections like Navigraph and LIDO charts remain, but layouts have been refined to handle the growing list of pages and third-party integrations. Closing Notes This update only briefly reflects the progress we’ve been making on the systems and flight model side of the A340 Airliner project. From the quirks of the aircraft’s unique handling and performance to the depth of its cockpit options and integrations, it’s s shaping up to be another must have for your long-haul simulation fleet. We’ll continue sharing more teasers and information into both systems and visuals in the coming weeks leading up to the release. As always, thank you for your support. Stay tuned for the next chapter! Mike

  7. Hello! Welcome to the first iniBuilds A340 Airliner Development Update, following our announcement of the project a few weeks ago. This update is focused on all things 3D Art, but will also cover some key features related to this workstream of development. Instead of being written by our media team, Max, our Art Director is presenting this update himself! You can check out the full development update below from Max! In this update, I’m here to deliver some anticipated updates regarding our ongoing iniBuilds A340 Airliner project for Microsoft Flight Simulator. Before diving in, let me quickly introduce myself - I’m Max, the Art Director here at iniBuilds, responsible for shaping the visual identity of all our aircraft. All things aviation and flight sim have been a passion of mine since childhood, and that love for aviation continues to fuel the work for me, and my dedicated team of talented artists worldwide. Through building on the workflows and expertise developed during our iniBuilds A350 Airliner project, we’re ready to take things even further with the iniBuilds A340 Airliner, delivering upgraded levels of immersion, realism, and detail to provide you with an ultimate airliner experience. Let’s get into it. Visuals - Exterior Features For the iniBuilds A340 Airliner, we’ve focused on capturing the character of an (on average) 20-24-year-old airframe. Subtle weathering and surface details by default highlight the aircraft’s age and service history, creating a clear contrast to the cleaner look of today’s modern Airbus fleet. To build on this, we paid close attention to how time affects specific components. Hydraulic staining, grease accumulation, and panel wear were recreated to reflect years of heavy operation, while areas like engine cowlings feature maintenance patches and material variations that naturally and mechanically occur over decades. These elements combine to give the iniBuilds A340 Airliner a lived-in, authentic feel that immediately sets it apart. If you look closer, you’ll notice even the smaller elements carry signs of age - placards with faded text, worn markings, chipped paint, and weathered service labels scattered across the airframe. Of course, what truly defines the A340 is its (not so) distinctive powerplant: the CFM56 engines. We’ve reproduced these in exceptional detail, ensuring they capture the aircraft’s unmistakable silhouette. Each engine features unique texturing and subtle variations, giving them individual character and reinforcing the authenticity of the model. As standard with our airliners, the engine cowlings are openable for service. For the first time in an iniBuilds airliner, we’re making use of the new MSFS24-exclusive engine ‘shader’ effect for the spinner. Personally, I think it’s a huge step up from the old industry-standard method of stacking multiple textures to fake the blur at different thrust levels. With this shader, the transitions are incredibly smooth, and the effect just looks right - it’s one of those small details that really makes the engines come alive when you see them in motion. It is known by our art team the fan is turning the wrong way. This is due to a core sim limitation affecting the turbine blur shader properties, simply there is no option to set the rotation direction for a turbine engine in the engine.cfg. The reason other developers have bypassed this is by using different technique for blur with the byproduct being less smooth and balanced animation over all rpm ranges of the fan disk. We've gone for overall visuals over a technical mismatch here as we trust that it will be resolved for us in a future sim update. Visuals – Performance & Options Performance is always a key concern with airliners, and it has been a priority from day one on the iniBuilds A340 Airliner. To conserve VRAM and maintain stability across a wide range of systems, we’ve avoided the use of 4K and 8K textures entirely and rely on fully decal-based liveries available through the iniManager to preserve maximum visual quality even at lower settings. And because this project is built exclusively for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, our integration team has been able to fully leverage the new modular SimObjects system, combining carefully tuned LOD models, refined node counts, and a range of performance-focused techniques developed over thousands of hours of experience to ensure the iniBuilds A340 Airliner is as efficient as it is detailed. On top of this, we’ve included a wide range of airline-specific options to let you configure the iniBuilds A340 Airliner exactly how you’d like with what’s visually necessary. SATCOM antennas, ice detection probes, brake fans, and more can all be toggled to recreate the variations seen across real-world fleets. Visuals – Dynamic Wear & Tear Continuing with the exterior, as mentioned, we’ve placed a strong emphasis on operational wear and tear to reflect the A340 Airliner’s age. The goal was to strike the right balance - neither squeaky clean nor looking like it’s been in storage for a few months - so you’ll find details like speed tape applied in key areas of the hull, much as we introduced with the iniBuilds A350 Airliner. Dynamic weathering effects also return, adding life to the aircraft. Based on our research of real aircraft, we’ve replicated where dents, hydraulic streaks, oil residue, and flaking paint naturally appear, and you’ll see these elements build up dynamically as hours accumulate in the sim. Beyond the airframe, we’ve also implemented additional systems-driven effects such as tire wear and brake pin degradation. After multiple landings, brake pins will gradually wear down, tire cords will begin to show through, and you’ll need to address these issues directly through the EFB’s maintenance page - bringing another layer of authenticity to operating the iniBuilds A340 Airliner. Visuals – Animations The team has worked extensively on animations throughout the iniBuilds A340 Airliner, with particular attention to areas that define the aircraft’s character. Landing gear compression and retraction have been tuned to behave naturally on touchdown, while the massive wings showcase realistic flex paired with dynamic engine and flap movement. With so much wingspan comes even greater flex, and we’ve studied countless real-world references to refine it as closely as possible. While adjustments are still ongoing, we’ve prepared a short clip to demonstrate the current state of the wing flex and the unique way it behaves on the iniBuilds A340 Airliner. Visual Effects Our immersion artists have created a range of updated effects to bring the iniBuilds A340 Airliner closer to reality. You’ll see clean white wing vapour trails rolling across the surface, engine condensation and over-wing vortices forming in humid conditions, and wingtip trails adding to the aircraft’s presence in the skies. On the ground and in flight, a custom engine heat blur delivers realistic exhaust distortion, while a cold start smoke effect captures the engines spooling up with true-to-life detail. Realistic Operations Much like with the iniBuilds A350 Airliner, we’ve made interactivity a core focus - not just for visual appeal, but to make pre-flight walkarounds more engaging and authentic. To that end, you can open and interact with a wide range of exterior features, from the APU access doors to the ground power panel and beyond. Specifically, the following access hatches have been modelled: Fuel Loading Fuel Coupling Gear Door Ground Opening Hatches Low Pressure Ground Air High Pressure Ground Air External Power APU Access Engine Cowling Potable Water Wastewater Cargo Door Opening Cargo Control Panel Visuals – Cockpit Contrasts To cover something the team and I been longing to reveal - that for the first time ever, we are modelling two independent instrumentation configurations, in the A340-300 Airliner’s case: EIS1 and EIS2. Now most of you will likely be familiar with the more-common EIS2 configuration, featuring a full-glass modern cockpit, however we’ve given special attention to creating the EIS1 model for those who prefer an old-school yet still modern-era flying experience which is still flown in the real world until now. The EIS1 cockpit as standard features classic standby instruments by default featuring an RMI, artificial horizon, altimeter, and airspeed indicator. But most notably, the primary flight and information displays are all convex-faced CRT displays. For added user customization, we have added a real-world option of swapping out the airspeed, altimeter and artificial horizon for the all-in-one ISIS display generally found on the EIS2 configuration. EIS2 is the primary development focus, with EIS1 being a nice-to-have feature as part of the product. Visuals – The “Preighter” Config In the real world, this A340-300 Airliner configuration is born from turning an active passenger aircraft into a make-shift freighter variant during unique economic circumstances, commonly referred to as a “preighter”. It still has all the characteristics of a regular cabin, but without the passenger seats so it can easily be converted back again. Our dedicated cabins team has developed this as a fun option for those seeking to do more than just haul passengers, opening the door for some unusual routes. The preighter config features several inspired cargo payload options, which you can view within the cabin and uncover the containers to see what’s inside. These include: Live Animals Car Parts Batteries Biohazard Flowers Food Medical Supplies Post & Parcels Visuals – The Cabin And for the final section of this extensive update, a section we couldn’t pass: the passenger cabin. Like the iniBuilds A350 Airliner, the iniBuilds A340 Airliner features a front-to-back fully featured cabin based on the configuration of a real-world German carrier. Touching back on performance - this cabin has been created with it in mind. We’ve learned a lot of new techniques with implementing such complex models into the FS24 modular system - some things it likes, some things it doesn’t, and we really worked hard to find a middle ground so even users on the minimum recommended specifications can run the cabin as if it wasn’t even there to begin with. Our intention is that the iniBuilds A340 Airliner’s cabin will be fully suitable for Xbox, with only minor reductions compared to the PC version. When we built the iniBuilds A350 Airliner, the most valuable insights came from combining official manuals, sessions in full-motion simulators, and conversations with real A350 pilots and engineers. We’re taking the same approach with the iniBuilds A340 Airliner - this time with input from experts on board who know the aircraft inside and out - to ensure the flight model, systems, and cockpit representation are as true to life as possible. Flying the A350 in the simulator gave us a real feel for how a modern Airbus responds: smooth, light, and highly reactive on the controls. The iniBuilds A340 Airliner, on the other hand, is a very different animal - heavier, slower to react, and requiring a firmer hand. That distinction is something we’re committed to capturing for you to feel the difference. It’s an absolute privilege to share these milestones with you. Up next, we plan to fill you on the systems, from our head of development, Mike, and some more behind the scenes on visuals from my team and I, so keep an eye on our socials for the next chapter. Max

  10. iniBuilds A350 Airliner V1.1.3 Update 🚀 Update time! The newly released v1.1.3 update delivers a variety of fixes and improvements across systems, visuals, and sounds. From Flight Management System improvements, HUD updates, and many other bug fixes that will all enhanced the A350 Airliner experience. We also have an exciting announcement regarding sounds, which you can read all about below. Now, let’s dive into the key enhancements and fixes that are inside the v1.1.3 update! This update can be downloaded via the iniManager. Flight Management System (FMS) Improvements We took some time to address a number of issues relating to the FMS logic and reworking the systems stability. These included improvements to SEC/F-PLN operation in displaying holds on the ND and handling modifications as well as an issue where FMS2 submenus would not open correctly. We also looked at some remaining VNAV issues like crossing SPD LIMIT pseudo-waypoints not working properly in managed and selected speed modes. LNAV also now handles sequencing after a go-around properly and correct behavior of ILS backup during non-precision approaches has been added, it no longer gets overridden by the FLS approach state. WASM Crashes Thanks to the support of community members, we’ve been able to reproduce and address several WASM-related crashes that were affecting specific scenarios. These included issues with custom waypoint entry and certain procedures, such as the ANF arrival into NZWP. Identifying these edge cases can be challenging, so having clear reports and reproduction steps has been invaluable. We’re continuing to investigate similar instances to ensure greater stability going forward, and we genuinely appreciate the time and effort from those who reached out and shared detailed feedback. It plays a key role in helping us deliver long-term solutions. HUD Improvements The HUD has proven to be a popular feature, and we’ve taken time to focus on some key areas based on your feedback. While there’s more to come in future updates, this update includes several important improvements We’ve corrected the chevron energy behavior to provide accurate acceleration cues, resolved an issue where “MINIMUM” indications were not appearing below decision height, and made adjustments to the HUD’s field of view and perspective for better alignment within the sim environment. Brakes Logic This update brings several improvements to the Brake to Vacate (BTV) system, addressing both logic and display issues. We’ve fixed a bug where BTV would not disengage following a go-around, as well as an issue where BTV was incorrectly shown on the FMA when taxiing below 10 knots. Additionally, BTV logic now properly responds to runway exit changes, ensuring more accurate (ROT) and turnaround time calculations. Beyond BTV, we’ve updated the overall braking system thermodynamics. This resolves cases where brake temperatures cooled unrealistically quickly during rollout, especially after overweight landings. Brake cooling is now more accurately modeled, with slower cooling rates that better reflect ambient conditions. Other Fixes A wide range of backend system updates have been made to improve overall realism, particularly across electrical, hydraulic, pressurisation, and braking systems. Another addition is improved engine seizure logic. Engines will now seize properly when oil runs out, adding an extra layer of realism for those flying in more challenging scenarios. We’ve also refined the VENT and AVNCS door systems, which now directly affect cabin pressurisation. This brings more realistic depressurisation behavior, including a pressure loss of approximately 2000 feet per minute when the vent system is active. On the electrical side, the yellow electric pump ECAM message now displays correctly when cargo doors are opened during loading or unloading. We’ve also fixed an issue where GPU availability was inconsistent on spawn, helping ensure more reliable ground power operations. OIS Maps and Navigraph Token Logic We have worked closely with Navigraph and the community to fix the OIS enroute map which consistently became non-functional over longer flights. Community and internal beta test team members previously able to repo this event are reporting no issue after 15+ hour flights in real time. The Navigraph authentication token issue that required users to log in periodically throughout the flight has also been resolved. We have resolved several other issues including the readout in lbs now correctly rounded. Sounds Refinement Several improvements have been made to enhance audio feedback and overall immersion. One fix addresses a longstanding bug where the landing gear sound would play regardless of the actual gear state, this now behaves as expected and adds to the realism during approach and rollout. We also fixed an issue where flap deployment sounds were either missing or barely audible. Now, these sounds play clearly and realistically during all flap configuration changes. We’re excited to share that we’ve partnered with Echo 19 Audio Productions to deliver a complete sound overhaul for the A350 Airliner. This collaboration will bring a significant step forward in engine, cockpit, and environmental audio, with much greater depth and spatial detail. Work is already underway, and more updates on this will follow soon. Exterior Lighting Improvements Based on numerous user reports, we have improved the lighting, especially during daytime scenarios. The smaller lights such as the lights located in the wing tip assemblies will be much more visible and clearer from a distance, especially during the daytime. Cockpit LOD Loading Bugs For some users on lower-end PCs, or especially on Xbox consoles, the cockpit would not initially load on the highest level of detail model, or LOD, when switching the camera view from the exterior to the cockpit or on initial loading. This caused rapidly flickering displays as the LOD models were catching up to the correct level. This has now been resolved, and the displays are not flashing anymore. Livery “Floating Decal” Bugs Some liveries would cause floating decals towards the area in front of the aircraft. This has been resolved, you do not need to update liveries as the fix was made on the base aircraft to prevent this from occurring. Cabin Updates Several important issues affecting the cabins have been resolved in this update. Notably, the passenger seat belt signage is now functioning properly again. Floor lighting is also improved, now correctly linked with the emergency exit lighting system for greater realism and safety cues. Beyond these, we’ve implemented various smaller technical fixes that enhance the overall user experience, informed by valuable feedback from our internal testing team. We're incredibly grateful for the consistent support on this project, we are so glad that you've appreciated the updates to improve the product in general, so you can be sure we'll continue to update this product based on user reported bugs and feedback. iniBuilds Team ❤️ ____________________________________________________________ v1.1.3 Systems⚙️ FIXED: Various EFIS and MFD related WASM crashes FIXED: WASM crash after inserting custom waypoint into next waypoint FIXED: Overweight landing: brake temps already decreasing during landing roll, brakes cooling down too fast FIXED: Discon, incorrect track maintained FIXED: PFD altitude vertical profile refinement FIXED: SEC/F-PLN edits and display issues FIXED: SEC flight plan modification now displays holds on ND FIXED: SEC index button now returns to original page if pressed twice FIXED: VD reaction in PLAN mode FIXED: Manual aircraft time entry now accepted FIXED: Yellow electric pump ECAM missing when cargo doors opened FIXED: Pressing return on FMS performs correct action on FMS1 FIXED: Brake cooling rate reduced FIXED: Notify max uplink delay message displayed correctly FIXED: D-ATIS header and message handling FIXED: Position time marker and data display when IRS is not aligned FIXED: Tropopause value rounding improved FIXED: ATC COM connect armed color displayed correctly FIXED: VHHH Kai Tak - runway length validation improved FIXED: BTV does not disengage properly on go around FIXED: BTV does not disengage when ground spoilers disarm FIXED: BTV display remains at 10kts even when braking has stopped FIXED: Changing RWY exits does not affect ROT or Turnaround time displayed on ND FIXED: Crossing Managed SPD LIMIT Pseudo-Waypoint behavior in Selected SPD FIXED: FMS 2 submenu navigation restored FIXED: Grid heading logic corrected FIXED: LNAV sequencing after go-around path capture FIXED: Direct-To behaviour on SID FIXED: HUD shows "No MINIMUM" indication below minimum ADDED: Backing up a non-precision approach using an ILS ADDED: D-ATIS previous message behavior FIXED: Fix info on abeam points FIXED: Fix info not updating EFB/OIS🖥️FIXED: OIS Enroute map functionality restored FIXED: EFB lbs readout now truncates decimal places FIXED: GSX boarding/deboarding stutters resolved FIXED: Navigraph token resets after 6–8 hours ART🎨FIXED: Odd shadows toward the front of the fuselage FIXED: Nose cone mesh precision improved FIXED: PAX signs no longer illuminate FIXED: GPU sometimes missing on spawn FIXED: "Landing" pilot camera view better aligns with HUD view ADDED: Windshield ITO effect (indium tin oxide) - Please note: Windshield ITO effect requires "windshield effects" setting on 'High' to render. 13. Hello! So you might be wondering what our next and upcoming projects for scenery are going to be, since we haven't really spoken or hinted too much at these... This update should hopefully give you some more clarity on this today, which of course is extremely exciting to start giving you some previews! Starting off the year, we revisited some of the all time favourites, giving them an overhaul that brought them to MSFS 2024 standards and utilised the latest SDK technology. These 'Enhanced' sceneries included the following; Ibiza, Palm Springs, Dubai, Los Angeles & most recently - New York! You guys loved these, boasting improved visuals and elevated performance inside of the latest simulator. So with the latest SDK technology MSFS 2024 has to offer, we focused some resources on this to create some brand new sceneries. With these sceneries, each one has been pushing boundaries in quality, immersion, and performance. Leading the way was London Heathrow (EGLL) Premium – a complete and carefully rebuilt project, from the ground up. We wanted to take the opportunity to start fresh, ensuring one of the world’s busiest airports is represented with all of the latest tech, fidelity and smooth performance that it deserves. Every terminal, taxiway, and apron layout has been reworked to match real-world operations as of 2025, delivering the definitive Heathrow experience. Soon after, we released a brand-new rendition of London Gatwick (EGKK) – also developed entirely from scratch for the 2024 simulator. Gatwick now showcases all-new assets, updated ground layouts, and optimized textures, giving simmers a crisp, dynamic gateway to the South of England with outstanding visual clarity and performance! Next came something very special – Providence T. F. Green International Airport (KPVD). Created in close partnership with FSExpo, the Flight Simulation Association, Go Providence, and the KPVD Airport Association, this project was more than just a scenery. It was a celebration of community and collaborations in the aviation space. KPVD brings stunning detail to Rhode Island, reflecting both the airport and surrounding region with beautiful night lighting, custom animations, and a deeply authentic feel. And most recently, we took things back to the Middle East again with Doha Hamad International (OTHH) and the accompanying Doha City Landmarks Pack! Hamad represents one of our most ambitious sceneries to date – combining huge architectural structures, realistic mega hub recreations of both airside and landside, as well as seamless integration with the city landmark pack. This combo transforms the entire Qatari capital into a visual showcase, whether you're flying in during the day or watching the city glow at night! Each of these projects allowed the team to refine our craft further – enhancing modeling accuracy, texture resolution, and performance-saving techniques. With improved iniManager settings, making use of MSFS 2024's SimProp Containers, and listening to community feedback, we’ve come so far since some of our first ever sceneries in Microsoft Flight Simulator. Welcoming, Larnaca International Airport (LCLK) for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 Our latest release, Larnaca International Airport (LCLK), brought all of these features with it! This airport is a gateway to Cyprus and the Mediterranean region. However it doesn't stop there! With destinations to places such as Dubai and more, this holiday destination is perfect for those summertime charter ops! So if you're yet to pick up a copy, at one of our most competitive, non-sale prices to date, you can get it here: https://inibuilds.com/products/inibuilds-larnaca-lclk-msfs-2024 for just £9.99 (excl. While we typically don’t like announcing projects too far in advance, we’ve already mapped out a number of exciting releases coming your way before the year’s end. Some of these include a few highly requested projects… but that’s all we’ll say on that for now. Rest assured, we’ve got some awesome stuff in the pipeline. 👀 Moving onto the next project we'll be focusing our attention on now that Larnaca has been released, we've got a call to action for some of you, especially those of you who might work at, or have close connections with this specific airport. Much like we did with Gatwick, we want to invite you to help us achieve some of the highest levels of accuracy, which we can only do with your help. Many of you will guess it from this faint outline of the tower alone, but for this one we won't keep you waiting... Announcing iniBuilds Manchester (EGCC) Premium for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024! That’s right, we’re heading back to the UK with our own take on Manchester Airport! With the latest releases from developers like Pyreegue and RW Profiles, UK airport sceneries have been reaching new heights. The level of detail, performance, feature-rich environments and modelled terminal toilets? 🚽 have been nothing short of incredible. As with Gatwick, accuracy is our top priority, and that’s where you come in. If Manchester is your home base, whether as a pilot, ground crew, or any other role, we’d love to hear from you. Your knowledge and insight can help shape one of the most accurate and detailed renditions of Manchester ever made for Microsoft Flight Simulator. 16. Hello! It’s been a minute since we’ve provided you with a development update on the plane side of iniBuilds, so we thought it was time to give you some of the latest! We’ve had a few plane releases this year, starting with, of course the iniBuilds A350 Airliner, then something slightly smaller with the Spartan 7W Executive and the latest of which being the F406 Caravan II. To start with, we want to extend our immense thanks to the community for the support and feedback across all these products. We love making these and the reception to them has been fantastic. The A350 Airliner was of course the most anticipated and since release, we have been working hard to ensure you have the best possible experience and we will continue to do so with our update schedule! The most recent updates; v1.1.1 and v1.1.2, each bring a suite of new features, critical fixes, and deeper immersion to your long-haul flying. The highlight of v1.1.1 was the long-awaited collimated Heads-Up Display (HUD), now fully functional, with dynamic declutter logic, crosswind mode, and accurate FMA symbology. This new feature makes high-precision flying even more intuitive, especially in poor visibility or challenging approaches. We’ve also refined key aircraft systems based on your feedback: Hydraulics & Flaps Logic: Completely reworked to reflect real-world asymmetry handling and ADBG system behavior. Vertical Display Range Indicator & Cursor Interactions: Known issues have been acknowledged, and adjustments are underway in future builds. ECAM Memo Formatting: Minor discrepancies clarified, our layout is based on a real-world MSN configuration and reference airline. Visually, we’ve introduced multiple improvements to elevate realism even further: Enhanced engine blur animations and metallic surface textures. New MSFS 2024-exclusive weathering effects, from surface dents to subtle tape details. Window blinds are now visible from the exterior model, a small but immersive addition. Following community input, we’ve also taken care to address bug reports across avionics, the FMS, and the CPDLC system, with v1.1.2 focusing heavily on FADEC behavior, HUD readability, EFB stutter improvements, and broader sound balancing, especially for users with active ANR systems. We’re also delighted to confirm that the A350 Airliner has launched on Xbox for MSFS 2024! After a long testing period, to ensure the aircraft was where we wanted it to be on an initial release, we were satisfied with the build that went live! We are still working on the MSFS 2020 Xbox build, which is unfortunately not where it needs to be. We hope that this will be ready soon, until then, we appreciate your patience. WASM Testing Group For those still having WASM related issues, SU3 fixes some core sim areas that handle memory allocation. As this is imminent, we want to try and identify any last remaining WASM issues people are having for our next update which is launching next week. To help tackle lingering WASM crashes and instability, we’ve launched a dedicated WASM testing group on Discord. This group is focused on tracking down and resolving bugs that occur on specific setups, especially across different platforms and configurations. If you’ve experienced repeatable WASM issues, we’d love for you to join the effort and collaborate with our developers. By sharing logs, setups, and steps to reproduce problems, you’ll be playing a direct role in enhancing stability across the board, especially as we work in tandem with simulator-side improvements expected in Sim Update 3. Join here: https://discord.gg/WcT48gB453 Plans Moving Forwards With the release of v1.1.2, we’ve now successfully delivered on all major milestones we set out for the A350 Airliner earlier this year, from feature rollouts like the collimated HUD and Ultra Long Range variant, to the continual refinement of systems, flight dynamics, visuals, and stability. But the process doesn’t stop here - we remain fully committed to the ongoing development of the A350. With continuous updates planned to further refine the experience, address emerging bugs, and ensure maximum compatibility and performance across all supported platforms, including Xbox and, eventually, MSFS 2020. Looking ahead, we’re also incredibly excited to expand the iniBuilds Airliner series even further. You might have picked up on a little teaser in the A350 Airliner ULR update. We want to take this opportunity to officially announce our latest project in the works... Introducing the iniBuilds Airliner A340 Airliner for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024! You guys have a keen eye! For all of you that saw D-AIGU and guessed that our next project was the A340 Airliner, you’d be correct! This long-haul four-engine widebody will build on everything we’ve learned throughout the iniBuilds A300-600R and iniBuilds A350 Airliner development cycles, from deep system simulation and custom sound environments to highly detailed visuals and immersive flight deck logic. The A340’s unique characteristics, including its engine configuration, weight and balance, and handling dynamics, present new and exciting challenges that we’re excited to bring to life in the sim. Development has already been underway behind the scenes, and we’ve made significant progress in multiple areas, particularly around the visuals, flight dynamics and systems. The visuals of the aircraft can be seen in some of the following screenshots, which showcase all those lessons we’ve learnt along the way, ensuring some of the highest quality modelling and texturing you’ve seen on an aircraft for Microsoft Flight Simulator. Click the enlarge. Much like the A350 Airliner, the iniBuilds A340 Airliner will include full EFB integration, a robust failure system, and a wide selection of real-world liveries and custom cabins at launch, among other things. The iniBuilds A340 Airliner will be the A340-313 variant utilising the CFM56-5C4 engine variant - the most engine thrust available for this variant and engine type (still expect slow climbs though 😛! ) We are also pleased to share that there will be three variants: the iniBuilds A340 Airliner Passenger, the iniBuilds A340 Airliner Preighter (converted passenger variant for freighter operations) and the iniBuilds A340 Airliner ACJ (Luxury configuration). This will all be in one purchase, and be for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 only. We intend to release on both PC and Xbox at the same time now that the Xbox testing pipeline is more advanced and established especially in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. We’ll be sharing much more in the coming weeks, from in-depth previews to deep dives on systems and features, and sound previews - which we are pleased to announce are being developed in collaboration with Echo19 Audio - so be sure to stay tuned! You might wonder, why no cockpit shots? This segment is in full swing, and in the next few weeks we will go into a deeper dive into the cockpit - or should we say cockpitS? CRT's anyone? 😉 Other Project Updates While our focus has recently been on the A350 Airliner and A340 Airliner, we want to take a moment to update you on another major iniBuilds aircraft project that continues to progress in the background: the A380 Airliner. Whilst we do not have any previews for you at this time, we want to take the time to acknowledge this project. A380 Airliner - Development on the iniBuilds A380 Airliner also continues steadily. Most recently, our team gained exclusive access to a full-motion A380 flight simulator, allowing us to collect a heap of new data, including performance data, systems behaviour, cockpit measurements, and other real-world procedural elements. We have also visited an aircraft in storage aiding in numerous data collection points. This data is proving invaluable as we refine the aircraft’s systems, handling, and flight deck functionality, helping ensure the final product delivers not just visual accuracy but also the depth and realism expected of an aircraft this complex. The A380 represents an ambitious long-term effort, and while development evolves at a steady pace, we’re excited to bring more public updates, previews, and feature showcases as the project reaches key milestones. Who's ready for a drink at the bar at 41,000ft? 🍹 We Need Your Help! Airliner Pilots With the active development of both the A340 & A380 Airliners, we’re looking to connect with real-world pilots who have experience flying these aircraft. We have a small subset already, but as we learnt with the A350 Airliner - the sooner we expand our testing set, the better the product we can deliver on launch! If you’re a current or former A340 or A380 pilot, your insight would be invaluable in helping us fine-tune systems behavior, flight dynamics, and procedural accuracy. From subtle handling characteristics to operational quirks and airline-specific flows, the knowledge of those who’ve flown the aircraft firsthand plays a huge role in achieving the highest levels of authenticity. If you’re interested in contributing to the development process and shaping the future of these aircraft in Microsoft Flight Simulator, we’d love to hear from you. Please reach out to us at management@inibuilds.com with a brief overview of your experience. General Pilots If you're passionate about flight sim, but also fly a variety of planes in real life, from GA planes to turboprops, we want to hear from you! We’re looking for skilled and detail-oriented pilots to assist with quality assurance testing across a broad range of projects. This includes iniBuilds aircraft and beyond. Your feedback will directly help us refine product flight models, system behavior, and overall realism across the board. If this sounds like you, please reach out to us at management@inibuilds.com with a brief overview of your experience. Plans for 2026 & Beyond If you're a real-world pilot, aircraft owner, or have access to a specific aircraft type, we want to hear from you! Whether you're interested in bringing your aircraft into Microsoft Flight Simulator, have access to valuable flight data, or simply have strong ideas for aircraft you'd love to see us develop, we’d love to connect. 18. v2.4.6 of the iniManager has been released. This update adds some great new features that have been on the request list for a while as well as various fixes which should provide a smoother experience overall. This update will be downloaded automatically when you launch the app or you can manually download it here. v2.4.6 - GSX profiles scanner to remove duplicate copies of GSX profiles - Fix for checkout looping issue - Updated My Products page, tabbed and with new filters. Added sort functionality - Added Sorting to GSX Profiles - Tabbed Changelogs for Products with support for both sims - Implemented Symlinks & Sim libs for product paths - Fixed issue with queued updates How To: Libraries You can choose to use this functionality, or simply use the default paths! The latest version of iniManager introduces a new way to manage install paths using library groups and symlinks, making it easier to control where your products are installed while keeping everything neat and tidy! Here's how to set it up! Set a default group that points to your main simulator addon/community folder location. (Important!) If you only use the default group, products will install directly to those paths without any extra configuration. To add a new folder/location (e.g. another folder or drive), create a new path group via the button in the bottom right. When installing a product, you’ll be asked which group to use, iniManager will install to that location and create a symlink pointing back to the default group. Once you've installed a product, you can toggle their visibility on/off. Go to the Sim Paths configuration screen, and select "Manage Products" on the group you wish to edit. From here you can view products installed in each group and enable/disable them. This adds/removes the symlink without deleting files. Use the Simulator Path section to scan for manually installed products. iniManager can link them properly so they show up in the app. If you remove a symlink, the product will appear uninstalled in iniManager, but the files remain on your drive. To fully uninstall, use the uninstall button from the product’s page, not just the path settings. Liveries are installed in the same location as the product they belong to. Deleting a path group from settings will not delete the folder or its contents, it just removes it from iniManager’s control.

We also want to give a huge, huge shoutout to RVL Aviation, who gave us an incredible opportunity to get up close and personal with one of the most operationally active F406 fleets in the world. Allowing us into their home over multiple site visits, the RVL team were incredibly accommodating letting us photograph, film, and document every inch of the aircrafts, inside and out. So for this, we want to extend our gratitude & thanks to the team and their mission, without them, this project would not have been possible. As a token of our appreciation, we have donated £1,000 to the charity of RVLs choice: Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland Air Ambulance. Thanks, iniBuilds Team ❤️

New Feature - Collimated HUD – Heads-Up Display System After some tweaks and bug fixes, we’re proud to announce that the HUD is finally here! A fully functional, realistic Heads-Up Display system is now live with v1.1.1. This system delivers accurate projection and dynamics right in your eye line, helping improve situational awareness in any weather. Optional visibility via the OIS equipment page Smooth deploy/stow animations Accurate FMA display including AP, FD, A/THR & BTV Speed, altitude, and vertical speed symbology Declutter logic with phase-of-flight-based visibility Crosswind Mode: Centres the HUD during high crosswind situations to retain critical info visibility Bugs & Feedback Addressed We’ve received feedback from VR users about MFDs not being clickable. The issue appears to be related to how mouse interaction checks occur per screen, which sometimes fails in VR frame updates. Investigation is ongoing, we hear you and are working on a fix. Vertical Display (VD) Range Indicator A known issue with the range indication logic on the Vertical Display has been acknowledged. This is a system with high complexity both in real life and in the sim, and we’re planning a broader rewrite of the logic in a future update. Cursor Behaviour on MFD Some users noted that both cursors disappear when a text box is active, whereas IRL, the opposite side’s cursor typically remains. This is a design choice to avoid mouse input conflicts, given users only have one active input source in the sim. We’ll continue monitoring feedback on this. Hydraulic System Logic (Flaps Behaviour) The HYD system logic has been fully overhauled. Previously, outer flaps didn’t extend when hydraulics were lost, despite the SD page showing they should. We’ve reworked the logic and it should now operate as required. Inner and outer flap animations now follow real-world logic Asymmetry modelled, trigger the Inner Flaps Fault via the OIS Failures page to simulate ECAM will show INR FLAPS warning and flap position differences, just like the real aircraft Outer flaps will continue to move using the ADBG system even when hydraulics are lost ECAM Memo Formatting Feedback We've had a lot of community feedback on formatting and missing elements in the ECAM Memo section. While we’ve made efforts to incorporate additional user-sourced data since launch, some elements, like formatting, are intentionally based on a specific airline’s reference. This reflects a realistic MSN configuration and software version we had verified access to. Visual & Exterior Enhancements Engine Blur Refinements The engine blur animation has been updated with new templates and more transitional texture stages for a smoother, more believable startup and spool-up sequence. Your wing views just got a serious upgrade. Watch the Start-up with the updated blur below! Refined Metallic Textures Several tweaks have been made to metal material rendering to elevate realism, including more accurate engine inlet detailing, enhanced window frame textures & patched winglet texture regression. FS24-Exclusive Weathering Pass For MSFS2024 users, we’ve rolled out advanced weathering effects, this will add some brand-new texture flags to reduce pixelation on low settings, subtle but impactful additions like dents and taped areas on wings & more realistic wear and tear visible across the entire airframe! Window Blinds – Now Visible from Outside A small but highly requested touch, window blinds are now visible from the exterior model, enhancing immersion during your walkarounds, fly-bys and inflight shots camera views! Xbox Update – Microsoft Marketplace We’re pleased to confirm that the long-awaited iniBuilds A350 Airliner has now been fully tested and is scheduled to go live on Xbox next week for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024! (if all goes well). This update includes the ULR (Ultra Long Range) variant, expanding your range and options on console. Please note the HUD feature is not included in this release, but it’s well underway and will be arriving soon in a future update. But all the exciting and cool features you see on the A350 will be there! However, please do see the below chart about what features are not Xbox compatible: For those on MSFS 2020, the build is still not in a releasable state, and we appreciate your patience while we work to resolve platform-specific issues. A selection of new livery packs will also be available to enhance your experience—and who knows, maybe there will be some special offers to celebrate? 😉 Thank you for your continued support and enthusiasm. We’re excited to bring these improvements to our Xbox community very soon. ____________________________________________________________ v1.1.1 Systems⚙️FIXED: GA phase stuck in engine-out condition in
