  1. The sound of rain -- both stationary/taxiing on the ground and in flight at speed -- are far too faint. I have to turn my volume up to nearly max to hear the rain on the fuselage on the ground, and I can't hear it at all in the air. I have system volume at 100%, MSFS volume at 100%, and the environment and other sliders at 100% in the sim. Headset mode off, speaker mode in the sim set to HiFi. No other sound processing software or mixers, etc.
  2. Sample size of one here, but just noticed that the SimBrief profile seems to have a discrepancy somewhere. My planned ramp weight is 339,460 in SimBrief using the provided profile, but when loaded into the EFB it's coming out to 333.9k lbs and the auto-set of the weight totalizer on the FE panel is also reading 333.9. It also seems to be under-loading the fuel basd on the same gauge. I should have 43.0k lbs, which is shown in the EFB, but immediately after loading the aircraft the total fuel shown on the FE panel is 42.6k lbs.
  3. Perhaps I am missing something, but I cannot figure out how to click the DLC arm button on top of the spoiler without moving the camera all the way down in front of it and rotating it so I can see it. I am sure it was very easy for the captain to reach down and press it (though I do find myself wondering at the wisdom of having the lights being on the forward end of the spoiler vs elsewhere, I guess he had to stick his hand in front of it to see if the lights were on?) Can a clickspot be added on a screw somewhere or something similar to arm DLC, please?
  4. Per iniBuilds, and the manual I've checked seems to support this, this is correct -- the HSI only shows distance and time information for the INS regardless of mode, and the RMI is the only place that shows VOR DME.
  5. This would be nice -- especially if you could select the acceleration height for thrust reduction so as to respect different operators procedures
  6. I would like the PFB and the speed card on the panel to have their emissive lighting (or whatever the proper terminology is) to be removed -- optionally! -- so that they're only lit by cockpit lighting as real paper charts would be. Even with the brightness lowered, backlit paper is always going to look weird in my view.
  7. See attached screenshots. Clicked the center of the knob on the weight totalizer on the FE panel, and the panel should read 337.2k lbs but it reads "152.9" which is roughly 337,200 lbs converted to kgs.
  8. I am using the Honeycomb Bravo. I've calibrated my throttles in the EFB. Idle calibrated to idle, etc., but no matter how many times I calibrate them, once my Bravo levers are at idle, the throttles in the sim sit there and vibrate between idle and the beginning of the reverse range, and sometimes vibrate enough into reverse that the reversers unlock. I do not have any reverse bindings set in the sim and I do not have reverse on the axis set to on. I am not using the 0-100 axis option per the manual.
  9. You'll never get a clear answer from a developer on these joint projects with MS/Asobo. It's surprising to me that iniBuilds has a bug reporting forum for the YS-11 at all. Generally, developers just direct you to the MSFS forums and tell you to talk to Asobo. There have been a few small updates to the YS since release that addressed a few small bugs, but beyond that I don't think anyone from either side has said anything about what can be expected in the future.
  10. I've been trawling the internet in search of information on the YS-11 in order to make more meaningful and helpful bug reports that will hopefully propel this add-on towards a greater level of completeness and accuracy. I've turned up very little, so far, but I found this interesting anecdote regarding performance on PPRuNe from an ex-Piedmont YS-11 pilot that aligns with some feedback I've seen here and on the MSFS forums regarding performance, particularly after takeoff: I hope this is useful to the devs.
  11. If you buy in one, you get it in the other. I bought in 24 and next time I loaded into 20 it was there. For what it's worth, it does seem like it takes longer to appear in 24 if you buy it in 20. I have a friend who did that and I think it took a few days for it to show as owned for him in 24.
  12. The YS-11 is surprisingly good for a Local Legend but it's still missing systems depth and some functionality. If someone does an Electra I hope it would be someone that would do it proper justice as a standalone full fidelity addon.
  13. I didn't say it was certainly correct that it cruises nose down, nor did I say it was common. I said it might not be incorrect and that we don't have documentation. I seem to remember that some older aircraft, particularly the DC-6, would sometimes cruise slightly nose down depending on the cruise altitude and weight. Modern jet airliners are all designed to cruise with a slight nose up pitch.
  14. That's not necessarily incorrect, we'd need more extensive real world documentation for the aircraft to be able to say for sure.
  15. I am not the person who posted it, but this post over on the MSFS forums seems like it might be very important for ini to review and check. It seems like there might be a units of measurement conversion error at play with the fuel flow based on what this person found.
  16. Is there a paint kit for the YS-11 or, if not, will one be released?
  17. I just found it, it's in \Custom Scenery\Xometry - KCRW West Virginia Yeager Airport\Mesh_Options I installed via iniManager and wouldn't have known to go looking for it had I not asked here, if there's a way to include instructions about this on iniManager it'd probably spare you a lot of grief with people asking about it. Thanks!
  18. The approach lighting scaffold is floating a good ways above the threshold at the end of 23. Using vstates ortho.
@iniBuilds you can delete my review but the stripe on the fuselage is still wrong
