A user on the official MSFS forums notes the following: Props not feathered at rest. Fix to pitot and engine cover visibility. Fix to altimeter drum numbers (corrected rotation). Fuel trimmers apparently have impact on engine performance now. I think there may be a couple of others but would have to check. I am unsure if this is the only patch we’re getting for this aircraft or if more are planned.

I have mine up at FL200 right now with 14500 on the rpms at gross weight and it's at very flat pitch, maybe a half degree to one degree down at most. I did notice more of a nose down angle at lower altitudes and when I stayed at full power (15000 rpm), so the current performance seems reasonably accurate.

Uploading from the FS2002-era AFG documentation which copied in parts of a real-world flight manual. This is the ONLY documentation I can find online from the real source. Perhaps AFG can code it in to the EFB or as a clip on the yoke?

I think the low stop red lights should remain off at low power settings while airborne. I'd encourage the dev team to review PDF pages 422-426 of the attached real-world manual for info on how the lights (and the lockout system) works. https://dn720005.ca.archive.org/0/items/piedmont-ys-11-training-guide/Piedmont YS11 Training Guide.pdf Also would help if the systems programmers could review this whole thing and see about further realism improvements.

Mine have lit off in the "ON" position but I have noticed that you have to keep the starter pressed until the green light extinguishes. Not sure if accurate to real aircraft.

Here’s a list I’ve compiled of all of the bugs that people have seen so far for either 2020 or 2024 between the MSFS Official Forums, the ini Forums, and what I can find on the inibuilds Discord. Also included feature requests. Writing this down in this way to compile one list that maybe helps the devs since people can highlight issues in three different spots, so I can't image how difficult that may be to track down. Systems: Prop feathering logic - props are starting and stopping in a feathered position, and notably when stopping they are coming to a stop feathered quickly, even if HPC levers are not put into feather position. After props are stopped, one can still see the RPM gauges spinning down in the cockpit. Fuel flow - showing 1000-1500ish pounds in cruise, where it should be higher based on the manual. (Possibly non-issue and already correct...just going off of user comments which vary). Fuel trimmers - no impact on engine performance. Engine overboost not possible - basing this on the old AFG model which said this was accurate behavior, but in this version you can slam the throttles around with no negative impact to the engines. If you did that in the FS2004-era AFG model either or both engines would autofeather (big round red light would light up in cockpit) and shut down. Irregular RMI movements - rotating the selector knob results in skipping and irregular movements of the RMI gauge. Altimeter thousands number drum - it does not rotate properly to the next number in line with how close you are to the next thousand feet in altitude. The hundreds numbers gradually rotate over as you climb/descend, but the thousands digits only quickly snap over when the actual altitude has been achieved. As a result, one can be between 8900 and 9000 feet for example and the altimeter will indicate 8000 feet. Cockpit Lamp Brightness selector also illuminates main panel gauges - I think this needs a function confirmation with the real aircraft, but the day/night (bright/dim) selector for the cockpit lamps on the main panel when selected to bright mode also provides more gauge and label backlighting in orange for the gauges in the surrounding main panel region. I would expect that of the rheostat knob on the overhead vs the lamp bright/dim switch setting, so maybe confirm function with real manual. High/Low Stop Lights - Added a thread in the systems subforum about this with a link to the real maintenance manual. I think the light logic as to when lights come on/off based on flight regime and power settings needs to be looked at. Sounds: Missing high pitched RR Dart engine “scream” - The internal engine sounds actually sound pretty good and you can hear the scream/whine/pick a name a bit at idle while inside, but it’s almost completely missing in external view. Look up some YS-11 vids on youtube to see what I mean. Doors and stairs quiet in external view - they make sounds when in cockpit view but when observing from outside are silent. Textures: Missing Maritime grey livery in 2020. Overhead fuel pump mislabel - No. 1 tank has a main booster and emergency pump, No. 4 tank has a main pump and an emergency booster. Both should be consistent regarding what’s a pump and what’s a booster. UPDATE: Non-issue! https://askz.sakura.ne.jp/column/aircraft/ys-11/ys-11_cockpit_overhead_panel.jpg Modeling: Excessive LOD redraw calls at least in 2024. Pilots disappear when at max external zoom in 2020. Stairs/doors animation error when in Walk-Around mode in 2024. Cannot walk around with front stairs/doors open. Other: Shadow issue - at least in 2024, when the props are rotating they still show a static prop shadow. Not sure about 2020 (didn’t notice). Feature request: Blue cockpit option - maybe selectable via EFB. We have a grey cockpit, but many operators used a light blue one. Bind Condition/HPC levers to hardware - self explanatory Paint kit - self explanatory. Copilot visible in VC in MSFS2020 - maybe selectable by weight or EFB option. Apparently works in 2024 but not 2020. Freighter variant - self explanatory.

It doesn't have failures or anything but procedurally from a button clicking perspective it's close to the real thing, using past representations of the aircraft in older flightsims as well as the real manual as an example.

On the altimeter, the hundreds drum number rotates appropriately slowly or rapidly based on the altitude of the aircraft, but it seems like the thousands drum ticks over and won't rotate to approach the next digit. (I haven't taken it above 10,000 yet so I don't know if the first digit drum does the same) Example, I can be slowly climbing from 8000 feet to 9000 feet, and at 8900 feet the 8 digit will still be fully visible, and will only tick over to 9 in a flash once actually hitting 9000. Consequently, if I am flying let's say at 8999 feet, the altimeter will show 8000 feet just because the thousands digit hasn't ticked over.

I've also noticed that the props will stop quickly in the feathered position no matter what, and the RPM gauges inside will still be winding down even thought the props are stopped.

I believe the free trial is only a MSFS2024 feature, not 2020. With that said, the YS-11 is absolutely worth it if you're into old turboprops

1. Users on the official MSFS forums are noting a fuel flow of approximately 1100 pounds per hour where it should really be 2600 pounds per hour. 2. Using the fuel trimmers seems to have no impact on engine performance. 3. It doesn’t seem possible to overboost or damage the engines due to rapid and/or rough throttle handling. The old FS2002 mode by AFG even had this feature. If you advanced the throttles too quickly you could cause the engines to shut down and feather (with the big round red feather lights lighting up for either or both sides). Possible to incorporate?

In their discord they simply said “WIP” (work in progress) with no estimate as to when so here’s hoping they actually do release them for 2020.

Wondering if both the classic blue as well as the current darker grey cockpit can be included as EFB selection options in the future. It seems like only the later grey panel was included but more operators than not had blue-textured cockpits on the inside. Being able to switch as a selection option would be great.

I’m wondering if for a future update the sounds can be revisited. The real Dart engines had an extremely shrill shrieking sound at idle and lower power settings that transitioned into a bass-filled rumble at higher power. It seems like the high pitched shrieking was toned down excessively for this release, especially in the exterior view. I’d encourage an analysis of the sounds included in AFG’s old freeware YS-11 for FS2002-2004 as an ideal exemplar.

Loki, I appreciate the update and notification that the concerns were sent to the team. I'm also tracking developments and statements from representatives both at Avsim and on the MSFS official forums, and am excited to hear strong consideration for a more fully-featured and accuracy-focused model. I hope that is seen to fruition. Thanks again for the update.

It looks like it was released with a lot of issues unresolved other than strut stance. Can I get the courtesy of a response to the other concerns? I see from other support issues with other KF aircraft they perhaps they don’t care to respond often to customers?

KF Team, I've been watching with interest following the announcement of the "Hunter" helo that's allegedly coming soon. I understand that I should not expect DCS AH-64 fidelity, but I noticed a few things that to me are glaring, and am wondering if you guys are still at the "accepting feedback" stage, especially if the feedback is, at least in the opinion of myself and a few people I've talked to, reasonable to attend to: 1. The depicted aircraft seems to lack landing gear strut compression, or compression to the degree that is appropriate for a fully loaded and fueled helicopter of this type compared to images of the real thing. Do you plan on adjusting the helo's stance on the ground to show increased gear compression so it doesn't sit too nose-high? 2. On the HMD, it looks like the compass heading you're on, plus the airspeed, the vertical speed, and the waypoint DME display all have black backgrounds on them. As it's a HUD-like HMD, the background for all numeric displays should be transparent. Also, color-wise your choice should be consistently green for the HMD, no blues and reds. 3. For the keypad on the left side of the cockpit, it appears that the screen is correctly black in color while the system is off, but once powered on, I'm seeing a beige screen with black letters/numbers. Can this be changed so that the screen remains black, and that the letters/numbers are yellow-green? (same color as the main-panel advisory/warning display text) 4. I have yet to find a picture where the standby/backup instruments are encapsulated as one digital display. All images I'm showing show a three-gauge cluster of analogue black and white attitude indicator, along with analogue altitude and airspeed indicators. Can this be adjusted, or can you provide an image showing the helo in real life with this type of digital display? It stands out due to it's colorfulness and fidelity as out of place compared to the tech in the rest of the cockpit. 5. On some preview videos and images, I'm seeing a desert-themed livery that seems like it's 90% towards an Israeli depiction, but missing the markings. Will this be fully completed as an Israeli one? I'm not focusing on systems outside of the above visual depictions as I understand that may be out of scope for this project, but I think the above are minimum-viable basics. Looking forward to seeing more on this project in the coming weeks!

Greetings, I know it was just released, but will there be a subforum introduced for any needed support for the Local Legend Bell 47J Ranger, which was stated to be produced in cooperation with iniBuilds? I anticipate purchasing the aircraft shortly after perusing some reviews, so I don't require support at this time, but I'm noting so far that the only main threads about it are on the Official Forums. In my experience with reporting bugs to a variety of developers, more than one have quietly preferred to receive feedback directly, as...again...more than one dev seems to have discovered that they are not consistently getting feedback/bug reports from the Official Forums reporting mechanism / via Asobo and MS. Thank you.

For what it's worth, I tried multiple times to reach out to SierraSim since their KMDT release last fall with no response to email or through their official support form on their website. I recommend using the newer and MUCH better Xometry version instead.

On my end, A1-12 lack aircraft, A13-20 and B and beyond work fine with Hawaiian B717s that I mapped from AIG to be used by FSLTL. Just the terminal "bump out" near the highway for the initial A-gates is lacking on my system.

Greetings, I am *hoping* that the team was notified by now, but in consultations with the AI experts at AIG (and others), it was noted that the gate parking radius parameters (across the airport) are insufficient for some classes of aircraft - particularly heavy jets, with users consistently having issues with aircraft disappearing and reappearing while at the gate. AIG has said that inibuilds has not made the gate radiuses wide enough to support their traffic at this and other airports. There is also a known Asobo constraint with ground vehicle parking positions that also causes disappearances, but it seems like this can be partially mitigated (not fully, but an improvement) with parking radius parameters that align with "industry standards" from AIG and FSLTL. https://www.avsim.com/forums/topic/637372-inibuilds-honolulu-released/page/4/ Looking forward to forthcoming updates.
