April 12Apr 12 @IniJamir I know you have logged this one under suggestions, but just wanted to give you some context just in case. This aircraft, definitely with the DC10 has a limited landing sight picture. At 4.5 degrees pitch in the DC10 and the cockpit height, you have limited peripheral vision. In the L1011 at 7 degrees pitch on approach, it has to be worst. In the DC10, we had the GPWS callouts coming at 100 and then 50 to 10. These call outs are essential and give you a good sense of sink rate and when to start your flare. As the callouts start and you are shifting your aimpoint down the runway, that callout cadence also tells you what your flare rate should be.
April 13Apr 13 Staff Hi, so it looks like this is being worked on actively, no ETA on the delivery as we are still waiting on some elements internally, thank you. 🙂

Were these calls intended to be added in 1.0.3 or is the changelog referencing something else?

If you really grease the landing rate (less than 50fpm) you should hear them all trigger, but otherwise they will skip some callouts to prevent un-natural callout or overlap

I actually had a -25 landing last night at CYHZ and didn't hear any callouts beyond the 100 and 50. The 30ft call is pretty important for judging the flare. It really shouldn't be any different to GPWS, the callouts play even at higher rates of descent, just the cadence is obviously faster and of course one may be skipped if there's a really high rate of descent happening. In the L1011 the FE was just a human version of that! Would really appreciate if this could be looked at again, it should be possible to hear the natural pace of 50, 30, 20 and 10 with any normal landing up to 300fpm or so. Appreciate the attention, thank you
3 hours ago3 hr @IniJamir Sorry for the ping Jamir, but could you please ask the team to take a look at this again, the callouts are definitely not playing under any circumstances. I've had 300fpm landings all the way down to single digit greasers and never heard anything other than 100 and 50 play.

2 hours ago2 hr Any further progress update on fixing the flight model issues mentioned briefly in the original post of this thread and in at least one other post? (Deck angle on approach several degrees too low, achievable vertical speed in the climb above ~FL280 much too high)Or should I create another thread about this?On an unrelated note, why does there appear to be no way to delete posts if a user wants to?
