Aircraft systems somehow frozen

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

I just faced a strange issue roughly 8:15 hrs into my flight.
I recognized that the sound has changed suddenly and I wanted to have a check on the aircraft. Then I realized that the aircraft is still flying and I can use all the knobs and buttons but the systems don't respond on it.
I checked the console because I was expecting a WASM issue but there was no error listed in that time period.

I did a quick screen recording on the issue to document it. You can check it here:

Thanks for your support!

Hi, This is an issue that's been occuring in Su3 and before where the sim stops communicating with WASM modules in certain circumstances. The Gauges themselves haven't crashed, they're still working in the background, but the simulator is ignoring them.

Our understanding is that this issue has been mostly resolved in newer versions of the sim 🙂

Thanks for the feedback, so it was "bad luck"?
I'll give it another shot before, was just wondering because I didn't had that issue before and it was my first 340 flight and bam

Thanks Steven!

Take care,
phil

Hi, I am having the same issue on every single flight, either before takeoff (once) or after 2-5 hours. (3 times). The screens and flight instruments will stop working but kan still turn certain knobs. I have reinstalled and restarted everything does not help. How can this be resolved?

I had the same issue but only with EIS 1. Did 2 longhauls with EIS 2 just fine but EIS 1 didnt last much more than an hour

Hi everyone, if you're having an issue where the aircraft systems freeze, but the clock is still running and there is no "WASM is now dirty" message in the console, please try and fly in Su4 and see if you still have these issues.

This has not been fixed in SU4 for me. I've had it at least once on all 4 flights I've tried in SU4.

Thanks for your reports. As mentioned, we're investigating this matter, with your reports forwarded to MS/Asobo teams for perusal. However, as the WASM module isn't crashing, it is very difficult to reproduce or investigate this matter "quickly". We are hopeful a solution is found by the relevant parties soon.

In the meanwhile, if you are experiencing this issue, please report with as much information as possible.

Thanks!

Hey everyone!

This also happened to me (though in my a350), but I wanted to let the dev team, as well as any other people know that I very much still have this exact issue in the newest update In MSFS2024. I hope this gets fixed soon though, as I love taking the a350 on max range flights. This makes it difficult though. I don’t know if it makes sense to report the a350 issue in this thread, but it appears to be the exact same issue.

The A340 NOT freezing in cruise is an extreme rarity on my end... The A350 does the same even during climb. No matter if I flush the WASM folders or not. This is since release for both of them and there is no solution that works.

I'm fed up with this and will make sure to stay well clear of any iniBuilds aircraft in the future unless they start offering refunds.

Здравствуйте, у меня одна и та же проблема на каждом полете, либо перед взлетом один раз либо через 2-5 часов три раза Экраны и приборы управления перестают работать, но некоторые ручки все еще можно поворачивать. Ничего не помогает!

I have the same issue here, havent found a fix yet, but either no great support from devs.

The only sort of fix that I found for the A340 is when this happens, close the sim and restart your flight. Then go into the EFB of the aircraft, go to the autosafe icon in the bottom of the screen, and load the last save. You can then resume your flight where you ended it.

Hello,

This is an issue that is still being actively investigated. It occurred during my flight last night 8 hours in with only 2 hours left to go, trust me when I say the frustration is felt on both ends and this issue has not been forgotten.

Thank you.

Same here, even seems to become more prevalent for me. All my last flights in the A340 were affected by this...
