Everthing freezes after making changes in FMS

After the update, I have the weirdest problem, which I never had before in Flightsim.

When changing something inflight in the FMS (Arrival or changing/adding a waypoint) suddently the whole cockpit freezes. I can't operate the FCU/Autopilot, cant't change Thrust, Gear, Flaps. Is that the infamous WASM crash?

I had to abort 2 flights now because of this. Not the experience I had expected...

Same here.

Editing the route results in a freeze although the a/c continues to fly (uncontrolled). The displayed attitude is different from the real one. I had this also with v.1.0.
What did I do? I added waypoints for the STAR assigned by ATC manually because I could NOT select it from the database as I could not scroll further down to the end of the list. FD button is the only button which can switched on and off on the MCP.

BTW, some other issues, at least on my system (2020 + updated): 

The taxi speed on idle (!) is way too high for a fully loaded A359, you have to break hard to come to a stop.

Becoming airborne the aircraft always veers slightly to the right and has a tendency to become unstable when correcting. So far I was able to only complete 1 flight, too bad!

Same problem here. 

After a 6 hour flight, on TOD, I tried to change an altitude restriction and everything just froze. 

It's the 5th flight I've tried, and every time the plane has frozen for some reason.

Are you doing anything to fix this?

Out of the 5 attempted flights I've done in the A350, haven't landed it once. I fly on VATSIM which requires constant tinkering of the FPLN page whether altitude/speed restriction due to a new altitude restriction or a runway change.

And out of those 5 flights. 4 of those were before takeoff/during taxi, it was due to a runway change on the ground that required me to tinker with the FMS. The furthest I've gone is a flight at top of climb, then a WASM crash/freeze

The same applies to me. I haven't been able to complete a flight properly yet. Every time it's something different. But most of all the sudden freezes, where only a complete restart helps. Really very very disappointing and weak from IniBuilds. To be honest, I didn't expect it to be like this. At least for the price that is being asked...

Out of the three flights that I have done so far that were familiarisation flights (short hops) I haven’t managed to finish a single one without WASM crashing… Which is very disappointing unfortunately. I was very looking forward to this plane. I am more than happy to invest time to find a reproducible way of crashing WASM on purpose so it can be fixed but still huge disappointment…

I have the same, but only when I put shortcuts and she is trying to recalculate fuel, for some seconds. Yesterday I tested flight 10hours and return 12hrs, without restarting flight. No wasm

Having the same issue here, out of the 7 flights I did I only managed to land twice (those two were very short flights maybe thats why??).

For the other flights some or all of the displays/FMS froze near the TOD or during the descent. Once it happened while selecting the approach after a long haul fight, once while selecting BTV or while doing the approach checklist. So all of them during high workload scenarios for the sim I guess.

Quite frustrating having the sim freeze after a 6 hours flight and shortly before landing especially as this is no freeware aircraft but an 80 euros Product 😞

Also after disengaging the autopilot and landing everything freeze no response, engine, light rudder,….. two flights and I disconnect from online immediately as other traffic need to use the rwy.

 

Any solution?

Similar issue for me. Everything goes well until close to TOD or during descent. Can't change view, the flight continues and can often view different pages on the FMS. I've been wondering if it's because of selecting time compression, but whatever, it happens too regularly and I won't be flying the A350 again until it's fixed, as it's so frustrating to only have been able to complete 2 short flights.

So the new update, V1.0.2 seems to have fixed the issues! I've only done one 5 hour flight so far, (much less with X4 time compression :-), but the new update seems more stable and input into the FMS no longer is laggy. I did make a few other changes on my PC, so have listed those below, in case the issue was a combination of things.

• Updated to V1.0.2
• Cleared the WASM folder
• Updated NVIDIA GeForece Game Ready driver to 572.70
• Updated DLSS Frame Generation to 310.2.1 (DLSS already at 310.2.1)

Thanks iniBuilds for rolling out these updates quickly!

Update: Just completed a long second flight, this time in the -1000 (first flight was in the -900), ZSPD-EGLL, with no issues. This is the first time I've been able to do a long-haul flight in the A350 without incident, so am really pleased with V1.0.2!

Just had the freeze on a turn around, no resetting of ADIRS, just standard turn around shutdown.. on loading new flight in OIS tried the CPNY F-PLN and on clicking insert FMS freezes locking up all controls and switches to the acft. Had to restart the flight by going back into main menu and loading in as a new flight for it to work. Was using the Turkish livery TC-LGS that came from the ini manager (Second note can this get updated to add its Selcal missing in the cockpit)

I have just tested the update. I loaded the plane and a flight. At the gate I switched from cockpit to outside view and immediatly the a/c froze, not the sim though. So this product is still unflyable for me.

Same here, my aircraft screens, autopilot buttons and throttles freeze after about 30 minutes whilst the aircraft is still moving over the ground and the moving map screens still work. Version 1.0.2 has broken the A350

I apologize for your experiences but unfortunately you have had a WASM crash. While some users are experiencing these more than others, there are equally many who have been able to fly without such instances since release. 

For more information on what a WASM crash is and how you can report it please see linked guide below.

Regrettably, from our testing so far of reported crashes, very few of them are reliably reproducible as they're very case, hardware or installed packages specific instances and require close matching of conditions to reproduce. Nonetheless, we are committed to resolve these instances of WASM crashes and improve stability for all. The team is working tirelessly to that end but we also require your help.

In case you experience a WASM crash, please do not close the sim immediately. Use the below guide to properly report the necessary information and reproduction steps.

Also important to note, ensure you have cleared your WASM folder after an update to ensure a fresh WASM compilation.

I have the same problem after last update. Cannot fly. The fms freeze and the aircraft descend until crashes
