A350 AFTER patch v1.0.1 - Discovered ISSUES so far [MSFS2020]
nopixar replied to Alvariteus's topic in Other
On the contrary. His post is absolutely brilliantly formatted and even opened with thank you to the Inibuilds team. Makes it easier to read and easier to see what’s been found/fixed. There was no need to you to add your happiness/what deem as money value to a bug post to compensate. There are hundreds maybe thousands of people out there happy with the captainsim 777. That’s brilliant for them. Enjoy your aircraft in peace and let people who have found bugs use the correct forum to bring them to the attention of the team. “Well it hasn’t happened to me” doesn’t mean that it’s not happening. A quick glance of the support forum/discord would’ve showed that. Well done to the poster for taking the time to format it I’m sure inbuilds appreciate the clarity, nothing worse than trying to trawl through random fluff to fix issues. -
nopixar started following A350.. still far from a mature product , Good progress...Bug reports , WASM Crash On Descent and 2 others

Will try to keep this useful... Wanted to try out the new patch (which so far is much better from a crash/freeze perspective so well done for cleaning up the bits you have) The Change log is extensive so credit where credit is due.... Ive interacted with it on few short sectors and have done everything I'd do on a line flight (radial ins, extended ceterlines, route modifications, directs with/without abeams etc..so far no crashes so well done for the fixes. Please also take the assumption the aircraft has been set up correctly in line with realworld procedures. Not a 350 driver but fly 320 CEOs/NEOs. MSFS2020 Version 1.0.2 A350-900 TAKEOFF Sigh.... Common knowledge the aircraft sometimes likes to takeoff by itself and rotates with 1 degree of stick deflection in CONF 1+F, but decided to try out a CONF 2 takeoff. Performance calcs gave much higher speeds so knew some was going to be fishy but thought try it out anyway... Wasnt expecting what came next. At 100kts the Aircraft again started to rotate so pushed nose down to keep it on the runway. At VR released forward pressure aircraft rotated to roughly 5deg nose up on its own and shot into the air at 4000fpm with a FLEX of 67 degrees, at an almost flat attitude. God forbid what it would have been like with a CONFIG 3 takeoff perhaps a level helicopter/F-35 style style takeoff...Also SRS but no RWY FMA at an airport with an ILS (Which I found out why later on in the descent) CLIMB Nothing too crazy here. The aircraft undershoots the target speed a little bit but it behaved normally. This is where the aircraft is really nice, nice progressive smooth turns, follows the route nicely. Reacts accordingly to interventions, correct FMAs.. Its a really nice autopilot. No complaints.. CRUISE FL280 with a cost index of 18 (Relativley short trip) Aircraft decides ECON speed is 226kts. Speed starts winding back. Oviously a bug but no biggy, PULL selected speed and keep it there to interigate what the FMGC is smoking wanting me to cruise at almost green dot.. ECON says its 288kts with the correct Magenta doughnut at 288kts but pushing managed speed it wants to dial back to 226kts. This is a new bug/behaviour. Selected speed it is.. DESCENT/LANDING Back into MANAGED speed no problems. Correct speed, correct profile, speed remained in the Descent Speed Target Bracket. Sweet. Checked a Navaids to crosscheck the ILS frequency and its blank....So a new bug is the Aircraft no longer wants to auto tune ILS frequencies. (This is now why on Takeoff no RWY indication as it uses the ILS freq for RWY tracking that the aircraft is no longer tuning automatically) Punched in the Freq and course manually and made a normal approach. Another smallish bug is when pulling a selected speed the speed window opens from the next target speed. When you pull for speed it should open the window on the current speed. This made for some frantic speed winding up to 180kts. Wont go into the roll axis as its been done to death...BTV much improved as per change log, more consistant and less "on/off" So again well done on that. SOUNDS Better balanced, although still a bit weird in places. New ground roll is nice, but upon changing views disappears when going back to cockpit. Also a strange noise when moving viewpoint forward to around the glaresheild/windscreen area? Please also take a look at the APU sound, its enough to burst anyones eardrums when switching views. Overall better stability, no crashes doing some pretty intricate stuff which previously was causing it to lock up with several WASM specials....Still an absolute mess on takeoff, even worse in CONF 2 than CONF 1+F. Sort out the takeoff and its finally begining to emerge into the addon alot of us hoped it would be. Certainly a step in the right direction!

I cant help with the why, but Ive noticed loads of people having WASM crashes using Navigraph as the navigation source. And you error code suggests an issue reading Navigraph. Since switching to the MSFS database I havent had any crashes related to flightplans. As far as I know there is no benefit using one compared to the other so is worth a try. The sims database gets uploaded almost monthly anyway (currently on AIRAC 2502) I got a few crashes uplinking flight plans using the Navigraph source but 0 crashes since switching.

Weird problem with the CONTROL OPTIONS in MSFS 2020 with the A350

This happened to me once too… only with this aircraft, but I was never able to replicate it again sadly. -
A350 FREEZE AFTER UPDATE NAVDATA/ WASM CLEAR DON`T FIX IT
nopixar replied to ART's topic in General Discussion
Are you using sim default data or Navigraph? Since switching back to the default MSFS database, I haven’t had any crashes related to flight plans.. -
Ive followed INI for years. They built the A300 and Beluga in XP11 and it was an absolute benchmark. It actually saddens me a bit to see the regression. WASMs have plagued their aircraft for years. A310 was the same, the A300 is alot better but still the same..now this. There is a wider issue with the way they program their aircraft. One small error renders the whole plane useless. Its difficult to even nail down issues because it crashes for so many different reasons. Ive done about 10 flights completed 3 very short sectors. Each time I recieved WASM crashes ranging from importing a flightplan, entering a fix, to simply turning on the terrain radar. You of course can complete flights by not using some of the systems but thats not the point. You are correct in alot of ways. We are now beta testing. There are so many WASM crashes accross here and discord now I literally dont want to touch anything incase it crashes, rendering a flight useless. Long haul is certainly out of the question. Im not dissapointed I spent my money, Im disappointed that a Developer who I have a great deal of respect and admiration for has found itself here after marketing this as a next gen realistic product. And when you have situations like on release where charts werent even available and the sound bug with the gear, you cant help but wonder is anyone actually testing this? Like thats bread and butter stuff and really difficult to miss. Its just odd. Or when a person mentions an issue and it described as "Placebo". Doubling down on feeback is never a good look. Its something that sets apart a Developer from a GOOD Devoloper. Its even more fustrating because the Modelling aspect is so far ahead of the rest of the aircraft in MSFS you just want to load it up a marvel at it. Its without a doubt the most beautifuly modelled aircraft Ive seen in any sim. Period. Its only when you start to use it, things start to fall apart rather quickly in alot of cases. I dont expect a bulletpoof product and I agree with Pablo about it being a moving development title, all products are. But when I can jump into a 1/3 complete FBW380 and know with a degree of certainty that it will last 8hrs punishment....and no amount of any button pushing will upset it, with a brilliant Flight model, Superb modelling with many of the features like BTV, OANS, (beginings of an OINS as of a few days ago) etc for exactly £0 (And thats a development version that should be full of bugs) you know somethings not right. I did the return flight of a WASM crash A350 flight in the 380 and it was something of a relief to be back in something that just works. I really think you guys need to nail down your programming before you bring anything else to the market. These WASM crashes have been around literally years. There is no other addon that freezes as frequently as yours. Id say on average 30/40% of INI aircraft flights Ive done across the board over the years (Excluding XP11) have ended in WASM freezes which is why I end up flying them so infrequently. In XP11 I flew the A300 almost exclusivley, in MSFS I dont want to touch it. Would be a real shame to undo the hard work youve done up until now. Sorry to be a downer. I dont wanna see a developer undo its legacy, certainly not one I like. But theres a real danger of that unless you guys tighten up your belts. The flightsim community can be a pretty toxic place at times but there is a degree of justification to the disatifaction. I really hope you guys can turn it around. Its a really strong foundation of a product.

As per title. There have been numerous reports of the "control response" on the rotation of this aircraft dotted around here and discord, and with good reason. Regardless of weight the aircraft leaps into the air with the tinyest input. You've said in other posts its been tested by pilots and is accurate. I beg to differ. You've also stated in other posts that we should provide evidence for inaccuracies and that the inaccuracies we percieve are "placeobo" Again, I beg to differ. So ill include as much info as possible. MFS2020 Both 900 and 1000s do it Turbulence LOW Please see attached photo (Real World) Please pay close attention to the SSOI (Side Stick Order Indicator) box circled in yellow on the PFD above. This is the initial input for a nice controlled gradual 3 deg second rotation at VR. As you can see its somewhere between 40-50% pitch deflection which is normal for Rotation law equiped aircraft (the 350 is one of them) somewhere around 5+ deg mark on the PFD is a good start for a nice controlled 3deg per second roation....While not A350 I do have experience on newer air frames like the 320/321 NEO family. The rotation law (is the same for both). When rotating an aircraft with rotation law the deflection you make commands a rotation rate as opposed to G load or Elevator deflection. Can you clarify why the INI350 rotates like a fighter jet with almost no deflection? THS setting doesnt come into it as long as its set properly the "feel" should be fairly uniform. You need a fairly signifacant/deliberate pull to acheive 3 deg second and can adjust the deflection as you see fit to either increase or decrease the rate. This is modelled pretty nicelly on both the FBW 320/380 which is freeware. Its also modelled on the Toliss/FF350. Another video. Again notice how much back pressure is needed to acheive the desired rotation rate (50% roughly) Pulling this much on the INI350 would result a Farbrough airshow style departure. Also the INI350 seems to get airborn with an unaturaly flat attitude (somewhere around 4deg) Again not represtative of the plane, or any plane. I suspect you havent modelled rotation law at all which is why the aircraft leaps into the air with almost no deflection whatsover. Is it even modelled? If not please consider adding it. Currently it takes off like a Cessna 172. Sometimes it even starts rotation by itself. I know some people might not care but when its being marketed as a faithfull rendition of a 350 would be nice if it shared some of its fundemental flying characteristics. Thanks

Review of the iniBuilds A350 in MSFS 2020 – Issues and Feedback
nopixar replied to Christopher S.'s topic in Other
Following on from the above from this on flightsim.to. Not my work so cannot take any credit but it makes things alot better. Using in conjunction with the TCA sidestick with -40 on pitch and -50 roll. Feels much closer to how it should! https://flightsim.to/file/89312/airbus-a350-flight-tuning-and-improvements-project -
For 1. Using the down arrow on the MFD keypad allows you to go through the list.

Review of the iniBuilds A350 in MSFS 2020 – Issues and Feedback
nopixar replied to Christopher S.'s topic in Other
Fair and honest review. I’m surprised myself that this Flight model made it through to a final release. The rest of the aircraft is brilliant and up there with the best (especially now with the patch) Much like you already pointed out I’ve experienced much the same. Takeoff The moment you apply any sort of side stick the aircraft just shoots into the air. It’s direct and feels absolutely horrible. A350s and most modern airbuses have something called rotation law which means when you deflect the side stick during rotation you are commanding a rotation rate initially, not an elevator deflection. The rotation should be smooth, and deliberate.. there is also a small delay from your input to the rate being applied. You should be able to set the flight control indicator on about the 5° mark and it will do the 3°/s perfectly every time. No such thing on the INI350. Once you have got out of the unnatural rotation and taken off the controls very noticeably transition into the fly by wire system (which overall is modelled pretty well) Ive put a massive curve on the TCA but still feels odd. Handflying Good flybywire but still very weird. Pitch is fine, roll is strange. You deflect the stick a tiny bit in the aircraft behaves like you’ve just put half deflection in momentarily. This is especially noticeable when landing and you’re making small corrections to the flightpath. As such you end up over compensating for the aircraft over controlling even with good smooth, small inputs. Almost all the videos you see on youtube (even the rw pilots reviewing) struggle with alignment in the latter stages of landing on the INI350. Once you command and release, the aircraft should stay put. It should roll smoothly to what you’re commanding and then hold. Sorry to say it’s horrible to hand fly. Some add-ons are modelled so well that they encourage you to want to hand fly. This is not one of them. Landing No flare mode at all. At 50 feet, the aircraft should command a nose down tenancy inviting you to apply back pressure into the flare. No such thing on the INI350. In my last landing, I did absolutely nothing until 30 feet and it just carried on. If I had pulled enough It probably would’ve just hovered down the entire runway. The whole point of the flare mode is to stop that happening. Forget the Autoland, its nonexistent. Just smashes the runway too. No sort of compression on any of the landing gear on touchdown either is like a solid brick hitting the runway. Overall my feelings echo the OP. The rest of the product is in alot of ways groundbreaking. The modelling, the systems the intergration is probably the best on MSFS now. Managing a flight is an absolute dream and the immersion is spectacular (so long as you don’t get a WASM crash) ….Until you actually have to handfly it and then its like..oh dear…I would have happily sacrificed some of the added features for a good flying accurate aircraft. Please take this constructively I’m not knocking the aircraft. I just want it to be as good as it can be. Please dont leave it as it is as it has the potential to be one of best aircraft ever made with a bit of TLC. I think for the long hauls its back to the Triple7/380 for me sadly. Hopefully it gets better with time. -
Just please make sure you guys keep at it. Its nearly there, but have to agree its not there yet. Has the potential to be the benchmark. The flight model in particular needs a complete rework in my opinion and these WASM freezes have almost become a INI meme, theyve been present accross all INI planes for years. Fairplay to the modelling team its an absolute beauty probably the best, but the system stability and flight model really needs alot of work.

A350 first flight - Discovered ISSUES so far [MSFS2020]
nopixar replied to Alvariteus's topic in Other
How the plane rotates really bugs me too. It literally takes off like a crisp packet in the wind… and the way the pitch control works initially has zero smoothnes…It does detract from an absolutely gorgeous looking aircraft with some small bugs but also some great features. The whole flight model is…questionable at best. It’s a shame really I was really looking forward to this. It’s not unflyable, but when it behaves like that, you can’t help but be bothered by it considering all the hype around it. And yet nobody during testing not even the real pilots who streamed it said a word about it. No flare mode either…? You can pretty much make no inputs all the way down to the ground…. Really hoping it improves over time with patches… -
