  1. Hi,

Thanks for your post. At heavy weights on the A310 slats only takeoff can be quite heavy. If you are regularly doing heavy take-offs please try using 15/15 or 15/20 this will give lighter rotation forces at higher weights.

Also, one thing to note, please make sure you have exactly the correct trim set as it can be very easy to leave the default trim setting of 1 UP in and this can give strange rotation forces.

Finally, make sure you load the aircraft first and then do the takeoff performance calculation otherwise the takeoff figures will be based on the default loaded weight.

    Many thanks,

  6. Hello everyone, and we have some very exciting news for you today! 🥳

    image.png

As announced back in November 2022 in our roadmap post, and teased last week on social media, we are ecstatic to showcase some of our work on the iniBuilds A300-600 Airliner for Microsoft Flight Simulator!

Those at FSExpo Houston 2023, will be experiencing this product first-hand in the 'iniBuilds Experience Planetarium' (follow our socials here to see this live!). However, we thought for those of you not attending, we would do our first official blog post on this fantastic product, providing you information on the work completed thus far, and some of the features you can expect.

    image.png

The past few months has been spent on completely re-creating the exterior model of our flagship aircraft; taking the visual experience you can expect to the next level. The aircraft uses a combination of 8K and 4K PBR textures, providing a spectacular experience akin to the real life counterpart; realistic decals, wear & tear and dirt carefully placed across the aircraft. From accurate liveries to precise textures, you can expect an aircraft model that truly captures the essence of the iconic A300.

Here are some images focused on some of the key areas.

    image.png

    image.png

    image.png

This superb attention to detail transcends into the interior of the aircraft with a fully modelled cockpit & cargo interior that you can see below.

    image.png

With our extensive range of cargo loads, you can embark on exhilarating journeys to various destinations, each offering unique opportunities. Picture yourself transporting an F1 car to a thrilling race in Bahrain or taking precious cargo for an important client. The iniBuilds A300-600 Airliner provides you with an ultimate airliner experience embarking on extraordinary adventures, where the sky is no longer the limit.

    image.png

    image.png

    image.png

But that's not all! We're also building something truly remarkable in the iniManager, taking your cargo hauling adventures to the next level. Our innovative tool will enhance your experience and become your trusted companion. But that deserves its own post, and once we have completed this element of the product, we will showcase this!

This leads in nicely to talk about the next steps for the iniBuilds A300-600 & what features are going to be included!

    image.png

This is a true-to-life complex airliner, with hundreds of features but we outline some of the key features below:

    • Comprehensive systems simulation alongside an authentic flight-model in line with all iniBuilds airliner products. The A300 for Microsoft Flight Simulator will feature an incredibly realistic flight model, meticulously designed to replicate the handling, performance, and behavior of the real-life aircraft. Get ready to experience the thrill of flying the A300 as if you were in the captain's seat!
    • Full ACARS/CPDLC simulation (including SimBrief) with the option for classic and modern pedestal options (like the X-Plane version)
    • Navigraph charts compatibility in a feature-rich EFB including comprehensive cargo operation simulation.
    • Numerous realistic and fictional liveries for free via iniManager
    • Custom WWise sound set including authentic sound recordings from the real aircraft, dynamically balanced within a 3D environment.
    • A fully modelled Freighter (release version) & passenger version (post-release) of the A300-600 airliner. The passenger version will include a fully modelled cabin

I leave you with a final piece of content on the iniBuilds A300-600 airliner which is a teaser of the aircraft, that we showcased in the 'iniBuilds Experience' at FSExpo Houston 2023! 🙂

We're thrilled about the progress we've made so far, and we can't wait to share the A300 with the Microsoft Flight Simulator community. Rest assured, our team is dedicated to delivering a high-quality aircraft that meets and exceeds your expectations.

I am also pleased to announce that we will be developing the 'Epic' modification, for those seeking a retro-modern combi experience! How this will be structured alongside the modern product is currently unclear and as always, we appreciate your support and patience throughout this development journey. We'll continue to provide updates as we make further strides towards completion.

For those seeking an even more modern experience; do join our Discord and follow us on social media as work progresses on the 'iniBuilds secret project' will surely provide you with a modern long-haul airliner experience. 😉 We hope to make an official unveiling to the end of 2023!

  8. Hello everyone!

We are super glad to be providing a fantastic offer on our X-Plane Airbus products as part of Day 6 of May Mayhem! Both the iniSimulations A300 and Beluga ST available for £9.99 GBP each for only 24 hrs for XP11.

    image.png

We also have the pleasure of announcing the iniSimulations A300-600R(F) & the iniSimulations Beluga ST are going to be provided with beta compatibility for X-Plane 12!

These planes now have updates available via the iniManager to allow customers to have these aircraft functional in X-Plane 12 for free!

    image.png

    Changelog:

    A300 & Beluga ST XP12:

    Flight model:
    •    Adjusted aerofoils to better reflect supercritical aerofoils MCRIT.  Fuse body area rule adjusted on A300 F and PAX to reduce drag and better reflect performance.
    •    Weight and balance system changed to new XP12 payload system. This allows for better CG in A300 PAX and F along with payloads that now dynamically adjust vertically for the Beluga ST
    •    Adjust engine performance to better reflect thrust output during climb and CRZ phase in XP12
    •    Adjust drag profile of A300 PAX and F to better reflect flag drag.
    •    Adjusted Beluga ST fuel burn profile using XP12s more fine FF adjustments
    •    Adjusted empty weight CG position for A300F PAX and Beluga

    Systems:
    •    Change flap system to work in XP12 for A300 and Beluga
    •    Custom fuel flow adjusted to work in XP12 for the A300 and Beluga
    •    Change EFB CG slider to work with XP 12 weight and balance.
    •    Adjusted start times to work with XP12 engine model.
    •    Updated Airac reading to work with XP12.

    Art/ lights:
    •    Updated A300 and Beluga to use XP12 lights in both the flight deck and exterior.
    •    Adjusted elements of flight deck to work better in XP12s lighting environment.

We have also pushed small updates to the BelugaST adding back in some cargo options (for both X-Plane 11 & X-Plane 12).

    image.png

Some known things to be aware about:
    - Due to weather system changes in XP12, the METAR/ATIS request functions will no longer work.
    - Upon first load you may receive an error prompt regarding sounds. Dismiss this, and activate the aircraft and reload the sim. The error message will no longer appear.
    - Due to the significant changes in the lighting system, lights will look different to XP11.
    - Please note Mac&Linux testing has not been conducted on the XP12 updates.
    - More issues may be present, but this is an open beta, and there are no current timelines in place to resolve items (Please bear this in mind!).

We hope you enjoy this sale, and the XP12 compatibility! Please do remember to fully re-load XP after activation.

Please note the A310 is no longer on sale, and will not be receiving XP12 compatibility.

  9. Thanks... the reason for those quick functions of sending between EFB and FMS is that in XP both FMS and EFB is written in the same programme. In MSFS its two different coders, and there are limitations in sending HTML requests to the WASM API... we will do what we can though, and trust me it would be great to get that automation back in!

Here are my thoughts on the ini EFB's

I am going to compare the Last XP efb from the A300v2 to the Microsoft A310

Both EFB's have excellent ground handling pages that are easy to use and also great general weather pages.

However I think the MSFS A310 iteration falls flat with its performance calculator and weight & balance page. The XP efb had a great flow. Load sheet -> Set Weights -> Send to T.O Perf -> directs to T.O Perf Page -> complete T.O Performance. This was an excellent way to get a lot of the behind the cockpit work done. The T.O. Perf page itself was also incredibly intuitive. All the weights were set from the previous load sheet page and all the user had to do was set departure airport and pull metar. This is where I think the MSFS A310 is the most disappointing. Weights needed to be reentered, grab the metar (if the refresh metar feature didnt break, sometimes it lingers on old airports when full reset isnt pressed) and also runway data (length/heading) had to be entered manually or through a hidden autofill feature. Feel like this was a big fall compared to the XP user experience in that regard.

The MSFS A310 UI itself is actually really good to look at and navigate, the front end did a really good job designing it. I just hope some of the backend design choices can take a page from the XP version. I will counter and say there could have been some limitations due to trying to make it compatible on serval different platforms but I hope with the coming A300F a lot of the features that made the XP version so good can be reimplemented in the future. Like weights being sent to other pages, perf sent to FMS, etc and I really look forward to the next EFB to come to the ini family!

How about PAX walking throughout the terminal. The product looks awesome but without PAX filling the space it lacks that finishing touch. I own all your MSFS airports... Adding Animated Pax is all 5that is missing.

I certainly think this would be a good addition for our smaller sceneries, but might not be best for the bigger ones. But we will certainly note down this feedback 😄

  13. Hello everyone!

From the title you can tell this is going to be a very exciting post!

    Welcome to New York! 🏙️🥳

We are super super excited to announce our next mega-hub: iniBuilds New York-JFK International Airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator

    image.png

New York-JFK is the main international airport serving New York City, and is the busiest international air passenger gateway to North America. With five active terminals, containing over 130 gates, you will be able to fly airlines (both cargo and commercial) from all across the world to this mega-hub! 😉

    image.png

As with most mega-hubs in the USA, JFK is also under construction over the next ten years or so... but rest assured, as we have committed to with LAX and all our airportsyou can expect updates post-release, to address these as the IRL counterparts complete significant milestones in their production. 🚧

To kick this announcement post off you can watch the trailer here 🥳 :

    Features list:

Hand crafted ground poly, textures with crisp, bespoke texture sets (Runways, aprons, paths, roads)
True-to-life airport land side recreation with custom ground decals, signposts, vegetation, parking barriers and more

Full iniManager compatibility to configure your scenery for the best possible performance for your system

    image.png

You can see the full features list above, but in this announcement post, we would like to take you through some of the hero pieces within the airport. Starting off with the infamous TWA Hotel! Orginally the TWA Flight Center Building, this $265 million hotel has been beautifully recreated within the simulator, with its intricate details in the interior including the 10,000 square foot observation deck with an infinity pool! Of course, including the Constellation aircraft in the landmark TWA colours resting in the courtyard of the hotel.

    image.png

    image.png

    image.png

A subtle but super important detail for us is the use of over 10 custom jetway types across the airport. We feel focusing on critical details like these, is what makes your experience at our airports immersive, and at JFK we have done just that. Over the 130 different gate types, you will find many different types of custom jetways in different configurations and schemes!

    image.png

    image.png

    image.png

We have fully modelled and animated the AirTrain JFK train system, including interiors of the stations! Construction of the AirTrain JFK system began in 1998, and is the airport's dedicated rail network with stops at each passenger terminal - a fundamental piece to the airport and its operation! A great way to explore your newly purchased upcoming iniBuilds scenery! 😉 🚋

    image.png

    image.png

As with all iniBuilds sceneries, we make great efforts to re-create all aspects of the airport, and you can see above some fantastic landside details, providing an immersive experience in all areas of your product!

We leave you with some more images of the product, and hope you are excited as we are for this one!

We are currently testing the scenery, and in the next week or so, you should see media taking a look at this scenery first hand, followed by release!

Please let us know your comments here what you think, and hope you have a fantastic rest of your week! 🙂 🎈
