[I am struggling to calibrate my throttles?]

Firstly you must establish if you use reverse thrust on an axis or not.

If no, ensure this is set to NO on the EFB and calibrate as per the instructions on the calibration menu. Reload the plane to ensure this change is made properly, and you will be able to bind reverse thrust to a button / input on your hardware.

If yes, and you do intend on using reverse thrust on an axis, ensure you set this to YES, and calibrate as per the instructions on the calibration menu.

Reload the plane to ensure this change is made properly, and you will be able to use your reverse on an axis with your hardware.

[How do I set my weights?]

Please use the Weight and Balance tab in our EFB. Please do not use the Microsoft Flight Simulator weight and balance menu – this will have no impact, and may cause issues with your flight.

[Why does my A310 keep crashing my sim?]

For the time being, if you're experiencing crashes while entering the FROM/TO pair, please remove the "navigraph-navdata" and "navigraph-navdata-base" folders, as well as any custom airports that cause a crash in the citypair input.

[Why can’t I tune a VOR with the VOR dials?]

The nav select three-way switch must be set to VOR to enable manual VOR navigation.

[Where are my ILS diamonds?]

The nav select switch three-way switch below the FD/FPV switch must be set to ILS for ILS diamonds to show.

[I can’t arm my autobrake!]

Ensure your gear handle is in the neutral position.

[I’ve reached TOD, now what?]

Pull the Altitude knob shortly prior to reaching TOD to arm auto PROF descent to selected altitude. PROF MUST be active when doing so, or you will begin descent immediately with LVL.CHG.

[I disconnected the autopilot but I still hear a warning sound?]

Press the red button on the left of the yoke to cancel the sound.

[I had PROF engaged in the climb; but it busted right through altitude restrictions on the SID!]

As per the real aircraft, PROF does not respect alt constraints in the climb. It does, however, on the descent. However this is very rudimentary in this aircraft and is not always accurate – as per the real aircraft. You must be on top of the plane, and be sure to intervene as and when needed.

[How do I set a Flex temp?]

The Thrust Rating Panel (TRP) immediately to the right of the engine instruments is used for thrust rating control. To set a Flex temp, click the FLX.TO button, then use the dial next to it to dial in your Flex temp.

[My FCU displays are blank!]

At least one Pitch Trim switch must be on for them to illuminate.

[My Pitch Trim switches won’t stay latched!]

Your IRS must be aligned for these to remain latched. Switch all IRS switches to NAV on the overhead, and click ALIGN IRS in the FMS INIT A when your City Pair has been entered.

[Does the A310 for MSFS have CPDLC functionality / SimBrief integration?]

CPDLC is not currently supported in the Microsoft Flight Simulator rendition of the A310; You can however, route recall via SimBrief.

This can be done by typing your username in the FMS. If you have a more unique username you must enter this in a file (simbrief.ini) file rather than the plane (such as if you have an _ in your name). This is located here:

Not planned at this time.

[I have loaded in but have no cabin [PC]?]

To allow for a seamless experience on all platforms, there is a further step one must do to get the enhanced features (4K textures, cabin, dynamic cabin screens).

Please go to the Marketplace section, and download the A310-Enhanced. This will install some additional files in addition to the base version for PC users. Restart Sim. 

[What version of the A310 did we model?]

The A310-304 in passenger configuration with the GE CF6 engines. This is different to our A310-308 version in X-Plane. The key difference is the -304 has less thrust. We elected to do this variant as it’s the most common.
