Norseman Posted November 15, 2022 Posted November 15, 2022 I’ve been flying a bit in Alaska, and found that it seems like the RMI needles for the VOR after tuning one is showing about 20 degreees off when flying inbound using the FMS. Winds are ofcourse set to zero. To recreate the problem, take off from Juneau (PAJN). Fly DCT SSR VOR in the FMS, tune VOR (114.0) and then you’ll see the problem. The magnetic variation in that area is 20E, could there be a problem with the magnetic variations in this airplane? Can’t recreate the problem in other airplanes.

Have you installed the 2022 year magnetic variation file at https://www.aero.sors.fr/navaids.html
Deleted Account Posted November 16, 2022 Posted November 16, 2022 Heya! Please try it with the magnetic variation file @triplesevenbobposted. I´ll talk to our devs, if this is something we can include in the plane as well 🙂
Norseman Posted November 16, 2022 Author Posted November 16, 2022 Updating the magnetic variation did not resolve the problem. Situation picture is attatched to this comment, here you can see NAV needels pointing 20 deg right of VOR. I could not recreate the problem in any other airplanes
Deleted Account Posted November 16, 2022 Posted November 16, 2022 Alright, it´s noted on our feedback thread 🙂 Thanks for reporting! 1
