I’ve been flying a bit in Alaska, and found that it seems like the RMI needles for the VOR after tuning one is showing about 20 degreees off when flying inbound using the FMS.
Winds are ofcourse set to zero.
To recreate the problem, take off from Juneau (PAJN). Fly DCT SSR VOR in the FMS, tune VOR (114.0) and then you’ll see the problem.
The magnetic variation in that area is 20E, could there be a problem with the magnetic variations in this airplane? Can’t recreate the problem in other airplanes.
