I am experiencing a persistent GSX integration problem with the iniBuilds A380 in MSFS 2024.

GSX reports:

“SimBrief error: Can’t read aircraft type”

I have undertaken the following troubleshooting without success:

1. Installed the official iniBuilds A380 GSX profile manually.

2. Confirmed the inibuilds-a380 folder is installed under %AppData%\Virtuali\Airplanes.

3. Removed and reinstalled the profile 3 times.

4. Installed the recommended iniBuilds A380 aircraft type and profile within SimBrief.

5. Restarted MSFS 2024 several times..

6. Confirmed the GSX Remote Control Server is enabled.

7. Confirmed the correct SimBrief User ID and Pilot ID are entered in both the A380 and GSX.

8. Confirmed GSX is fully updated and connected.

9. Restarted Couatl after the A380 was fully loaded at the gate.

10. Checked and can confirm GSX is latest version.

None of these interventions has resolved the problem.

Given the specific wording of the error, I am concerned that GSX may not be correctly identifying the A380 as ICAO type A388, rather than this being a SimBrief authentication or profile issue?

I am also aware that other users are currently reporting GSX integration problems with the A380.

Could you please advise whether this is a known issue and whether there is a current workaround or update planned?

I can confirm that no other aircraft demonstrates this issue, including the IniBuilds A350 which I also own.

I'm not entirely sure what's going on. Just tested on my end and everything is working as intended.

Could you verify that there is no other A380 placed inside the GSX folder?

Hi Kyle - yes I can confirm no other A380 in GSX folder. There are no other A380 folders or profiles present.

Yes - latest version of GSX.

Having problems too, still, I can get the simbrief flight plan to load on simbrief. On the EFB > GSX page, It shows a good integration, saying it's connected and updated, and also shows GSX menu operations.

So I followed the intructions on FAQ > How to - GSX Integration - Setup & Operation page, not forgetting to set ZFW and ZFWCG on FMS FUEL & LOAD page.

Then I select Load with GSX > Req All, but nothing happens, no vehicles, no loaders, no operators show up, but i've noticed Load with GSX > Req Refueling is grayed out, like beeing already requested, and waiting for the fuel truck to arrive... but it never arrives...

I always end up reseting everything and loading the plane manualy...
And, I also own the A350, where GSX integration works perfectly, with no issues to report.
Any suggestions?

I am experiencing the same problem. The GSX menu shown in red, reads "Simbrief error: Can't read aircraft type". I was trying to see if there was anything I missed and came across this thread. Thank you guys.

Me too.

Every time I load the A380 I get this error.

All other aircraft are fine.

I have installed the Inibuilds GSX profile for this aircraft

P.S. I am streaming the aircraft as being a Beta tester for SU7 downloading it is currently unavailable during the Beta. Don't know if that has any impact on the situation.

Just to chime in: I am also experiencing this issue. Thankfully the plane comes with its own loading and own pushback until the problem is sorted.

Edit: The manual GSX profile download fixed this issue for me.

The manual download of the GSX profile hasn't resolved the issue at my end. Repeatedly attempted this fix but to no avail unfortunately.

Steps I took:

1. Downloaded and extracted the IniBuilds A380 Airliner - GSX Profile.zip into %AppData%\Virtuali\Airplanes.

Verification of files

1. Inside the folder (%AppData%\Virtuali\Airplanes there is a folder called inibuilds-a380.

2. Inside the inibuilds-a380 folder are two sub-folders with the following files: (i) \_MACOSX\inibuilds-a380\800\._gsx.cfg; and (ii) \800\gsx.cfg
