September 11Sep 11 OK, there are aspects of the sim I've never really looked into, so please forgive my ignorance when I ask this.Does Inibuilds have some sort of contract with MSFS saying they must release their planes to the marketplace before they are allowed to add them to IniManager or sell them directly? Was that part of the deal when they included default planes in the sim?I'd really like to get the A380, but I really don't like the marketplace and much prefer to have my addons in a devs own manager if they use one. Also, I've heard it said that you can only use marketplace planes in career mode. Is that true? I don't use it, but that might change at some point in the future. (It's a very small chance though.)If I was to purchase it on release day through the marketplace would I be able to add it to IniManager when it eventually becomes available there or will I forever be stuck with the marketplace version?
September 11Sep 11 I like you prefer not to use Marketplace, infact the only thing I have from there is the ATR and that's because there was no other choice. My understanding of Marketplace purchases is that becaasue of the DRM included in them you can't migrate them to a 3rd party seller even if it is the developers own product. So for me I'll be waiting for it to be released in the IniManager.Having typed all that I've just seen this thread and Kyles reply so ignore my post 😂"Yes, you will be able to transfer over your Marketplace A380 to the iniManager. Thanks!Kyle - Community ManageriniBuilds Ltd. | inibuilds.com" Edited September 11Sep 11 by BrianT
September 11Sep 11 Author That's a shame, and it sounds like I'll have to wait then. Like you, the ATR is the only thing I ever bought on the marketplace. Whenever possible I like to buy direct from devs no matter what the game/software is as I would much rather they get all the money rather than some third party taking a cut for not doing much at all.Edit: Just saw your edit! Maybe I'll go for it if true, but I also might still wait if the marketplace is taking a cut of the money. Edited September 11Sep 11 by frostycab

Wednesday at 08:04 AM2 days If you do not take into account that publishing on the marketplace is currently the only 100% protection against piracy, there are other features - all content is stored in the cloud and does not clutter your computer))))ps - I don’t believe in the sincerity of those who claim they only buy through the inibuilds app.))))

Never bought anything from the marketplace. If you are implying piracy, I would suggest you not paint all of us who prefer to buy from designers websites with the same brush. Not very nice at all.

Причин не покупать через торговую площадку гораздо больше, чем те, которые вы перечислили.Let’s not engage in sophistry, shall we?)))) Example number one — A220 in the Microsoft store has been updated to 1.0.9, but inibuilds hasn’t yet. So, we won’t be doing business with inibuilds anymore, right? ))) But jokes aside, there’s no difference where you buy model airplanes. I’ll say more — if regional prices are available, the Microsoft store is more cost‑effective! I bought the A220 for just under $40. (The A380 costs 51 US dollars.))))) the date of the start of sales on the manufacturer's website only indicates on what date the model will become free))) Edited yesterday at 11:09 AM1 day by Alex711

Just paid 44 USD for the A380 on the marketplace while it is 78 dollars for me on the Inibuilds website and of course not yet available. I never knew till this topic came up that you could buy third party stuff on the marketplace. Sheesh. Could have saved a fair bit considering the amount that I have bought.

I and many others don't also our choice.By saying someone who chooses not to you "don’t believe in the sincerity", you imply that those we are likely to be engaging in some illicit act, without any proof at all, which I find offensive. Every peice of software on my computer has been legitimately bought and paid for. I'm in the fortunate position of having spare funds to allow me to engage in this and many other hobbies. So maybe you should think before making such scurrilous comments. Edited 3 hours ago3 hr by BrianT
