Guffnuts Posted Saturday at 10:01 AM Posted Saturday at 10:01 AM (edited) Currently 10 hours in to EGLL-WSSS and have noticed a couple of things since the latest update. Upon departure, the PERF page would instantly switch to DES phase with no way of forcing the FL to reinstate the CLB phase. I was not able to fly the managed ascent of the SID. Once cleared for cruise altitude, the CLB phase would initiate after selecting 20000 or above. Whilst in CRZ, selecting an altitude below 20000 would initiate the DES page, without actually selecting to descend. Secondly, "Cabin ready" appears permanently. No way of clearing. As said, minor issues and not something i've encountered in previous versions. Edited Saturday at 11:06 PM by Guffnuts 2
nopixar Posted Saturday at 03:36 PM Posted Saturday at 03:36 PM (edited) Same here. Had to force an altitude change to get climb back. Edited Saturday at 03:37 PM by nopixar
GMane Posted Saturday at 04:14 PM Posted Saturday at 04:14 PM Hi having the same problem. And this isn't a minor issue. As soon as I take-off the VNAV reverts to descent mode, it ignores any STAR restrictions. The only way I managed to get it back in climb mode was to set the cruise altitude in the autopilot. I don't understand how ini releases updates with such basic bugs. Its like they don't bother with a basic test flight before releasing an update?? See picture 3
Vysous Posted Saturday at 04:22 PM Posted Saturday at 04:22 PM The same happened to me. For some reason, the plane forgot the cruise altitude after takeoff. If you set it again manually at INIT page, it remembers and you can engage the CLB mode by pushing the ALT knob.
Farlis Posted Saturday at 07:24 PM Posted Saturday at 07:24 PM (edited) Can confirm. Same bug here. Only when you set the cruise altituted in the MCP will it go into clb mode, anything below it it stays in descend mode, for whatever reason. And this isn't a "minor" issue. It's a MAJOR bug. 3 hours ago, Vysous said: If you set it again manually at INIT page, it remembers and you can engage the CLB mode by pushing the ALT knob. No it does not. When you reenter the cruise altituted again it just blanks the entry and you remain in DES mode. Edited Saturday at 07:24 PM by Farlis
Guffnuts Posted Saturday at 11:07 PM Author Posted Saturday at 11:07 PM Glad it's not just me. Title edited. After the 11 hour flight, descent phase and approach went without issue.
YS0430 Posted Sunday at 03:05 AM Posted Sunday at 03:05 AM Saw the update, wanted to try it and then saw these immersion breaking bugs... keep freezing the A350 then
MartinS Posted Monday at 07:33 AM Posted Monday at 07:33 AM same here, v1.2.3 goes from CLB directly to descend, not honoring speed restrictions, altitudes, etc. of the SID. Cabin ready displayed, BARO not blinking about TA. A further thing: During manual climb out the side stick became unresponsive and the aircraft started a right turn away from the SID. No way to bring it back with manual steering. I switched on AP, the plane turned back towards the SID. Disabling AP made the side stick work again. Wow! 2
