Premium Performance Issues

Featured Replies

Hi all,

As mentioned by various other users, the freighter version of the A300 Premium for MSFS2024 is riddled with performance issues. I wish I was warned about the state of this version before I spent 60+ euros on it. I'm pretty disappointed since it wasn't released a week ago but close to a year ago. I was/am a big fan of the A300, bought it for XP-11 a couple years ago, and was looking forward to flying it in MSFS2024. My first flight wasn't enjoyable; I noticed some very severe FPS drops along the way and performance degradation while the flight progressed. Starting off with a solid 40 FPS at Leipzig (with FG ON - 100 FPS). Arriving at my stand in Schiphol, my FPS dropped down to 19 FPS.

System: RTX 5070, 32 GB RAM, AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D.

Will these issues get adressed?

Hello,

We are looking into the performance issues. From what we've seen, people are experiencing performance degradation only with the CARGO version of the aircraft. Can you confirm you get the same perf across both PAX and CARGO or is it just CARGO being the issue?

Thank you

Hi Eddie,

Appreciate the quick reply.

Haven't tried the passenger version as of yet, since I purely bought the aircraft for the freighter version. I can do some tests tomorrow if you'd like. Good to hear you guys are looking into the performance issues.

Tom

Hi Eddie, PAX is better but not perfect, CARGO is poor, kills the main thread. Cheers Matt

Hi All,

please try to disable Freighter inside cabin. In my case it helped a lot with FPS.

How to do it:

1. go to your community folder and open: inibuilds-aircraft-a300\SimObjects\Airplanes\A300-600\attachments\inibuilds\Function_Cabin_Freighter\config

2. create backup of attached_objects.cfg to safe place. Then open attached_objects.cfg, delete all content and save file.

3. go to folder: inibuilds-aircraft-a300\SimObjects\Airplanes\A300-600\attachments\inibuilds\Function_Interior_Freighter\config and do excatly the same with attached_objects.cfg file.

4. go to folder: inibuilds-aircraft-a300\SimObjects\Airplanes\A300-600\attachments\inibuilds\Asset_Interior\texture.a300_int_freighter, create backup of this folder and then delete all content in folder.

If you decide to try it, please post your results here. It may help IniBuilds to identify the issue.

A big THANK YOU! 😍

I went from 20fps to 60fps with these steps... fantastic, now I can fly again!

I can confirm that zeroing out the abovementioned files does recover a lot of performance for me as well.

You Sir, are amazing. I have a beefy system so the A300 ran OK for me, just not great. And certainly worse than the compatible version.
This fix however is simply brilliant. Absolutely silky smooth performance now, not a stutter in sight, even panning around inside and outside at DFW.
Can't thank you enough for finding and posting this.

Hello Captains,

so far I use the A300 compatible version for the MSFS 2024. I wanted to buy the premium version of the A300 but as I read the comments about the poor performance I did not buy it.
What does it mean "disable Freighter inside cabin"?
Does it mean the freighter cabin is not more visible? If yes, the whole "immersion" would be gone.

Maybe someone could attached a screenshot for me.

Thanks in advance

Chris
