sim issue KLAX Enhanced taking a while to load or not loading up at all?

Hi there,

Wanted to ask the forum if anybody is experiencing that the sim does not load into KLAX when you have the enhanced version installed? I have loaded up different airports, aircrafts, ensured no other add-ons are running and the sim simply does not want to load into the airport for KLAX. I think the longest I waited was 30 minutes to see if it will load? How long can I expect it to load or is there an issue on my end?

Same issue here - the spinning circle at lower right just spins and spins with no resolution.

Pick where you want to fly from, then zoom all the way out until you can see the entire world and press fly now. Not a Ini issue. This is a work around. Let us know how you get on.

It finally loaded for me, but that was after I had left my computer and returned to it about 2 hours later, so I'm not sure how long it actually ended up taking for it to load.

Another thing to check that helped fix this loading into the airport for me was making sure that your date and time and time zone is setup to update automatically in Windows settings.

Is it really possible that the sim is really taking that long to load it? I am going to try out the suggestion too on zooming out all the way and see if that helps out on my side and report on what happens. I also already have my timezones and time automatically set like Captain_McGee mentioned so fingers crossed.

It loads no problem for me, certainly no longer than any other 3rd party airport.

I found my workaround for it. Mine was setting my LOD to the lowest possible and then using the zooming out feature. From there it loaded fully and all I did was when it did load, bump my LOD back to the original setting. If it is a MSFS issue I hope Asobo get to the bottom of that and figures it out. It is quite cumbersome to do that.

Thanks for your reports.

Unfortunately extremely long load-times appears to be a core sim issue that we have no control over. Personally not experiencing this nor is it like this for any of our other testers at the moment on SU1 (FS24 v1.3.25.0). A much smaller sample who are on the SU2 Beta also cannot reproduce the loadding issues described above.

It may sound tedious,  however you may try a full sim re-install to see if it resolves the issue in your instance. It is recommended by MS/Asobo, especially if you installed your sim initially during first few weeks post-launch, as there is a chance that core sim files are "corrupted" due to the server issues that were present at the time. 

Some additional context:

Some of us internally (dev team and testers) were experiencing weird issues with certain scenery 3D objects (e.g. PAPIs or twy edge lights) that were very slow to load (or not loading at all) after you spawn in. This was resolved after re-installing the sim. All that were experiencing such issues had installed FS2024 on launch or during the affected period. So while rare, it can happen and worth a try if you continue to experience such issues.
