C. Schaffhausen Posted March 12 Posted March 12 (edited) After looking at this comparison video, you can see a few issues with the Inibuild A350's wing Flap Track fairing - incorrect shape. Sharklet - incorrect shape. Wing - looks like the chord is too long, which also resulted in a bigger sharklet in sim At 2:50, after second engine start, you can see the spoilers raised a tiny bit. I believe the same feature existed on the FBW A380, and was done IRL so the spoilers and the flaps don't scrape with each other during extension/retraction. Flap position and geometry: after flap extension, you can see a gap exist between the flaps and the spoiler on the real thing; while the Inibuilds one just doesn't have it From another post: Gap between inboard and outboard flap is missing; related the flap position and geometry Speedbrake extension: extends/retracts too quickly There is still a long way ahead for the A350, but I remain hopeful as Inibuild brought us a relatively good product in a short time. Hopefully the devs can look at the above issues. Cheers Video link: Edited March 12 by C. Schaffhausen Missing video link 1 1
Tripdog87 Posted March 12 Posted March 12 Darialove had a good point on this with regards to the outboard spoiler and landing gear animation. If I had to guess I would say the developers are/were trying to figure out this wasm crap first as it was probably more immediate. I agree with you though, there is definitely some TLC needed with those wings and flaps.
C. Schaffhausen Posted March 12 Author Posted March 12 Tried my best to capture the same angle in the sim, the first one is taken by myself. The more I look at the inibuilds, the more it looks like an A330 wing. There seems to be some issue with the flap modelling/spoiler position, on the real plane the blue line intersects the orange line dividing the orange line roughly in half Where as on the inibuilds model, the ratio is quite different. 1
C. Schaffhausen Posted March 12 Author Posted March 12 (edited) Thank you! A fair comparison here from a Finnair A359. Edited March 12 by C. Schaffhausen

C. Schaffhausen Posted March 13 Author Posted March 13 I think they might have used the same flaps and models for both variants. The -1000 has slightly larger wings where the trailing edge is extended slightly, which is similar to the Inibuilds model. Here's a -1000 wing for reference.
BetrWingmodels Posted March 13 Posted March 13 (edited) Good find. A while back, I made a post regarding the poorly designed wings of their A310, A300 and A320 NEO; rounded leading edge + too much curve under the wings which you can notice by looking at the line where the engine pylon mates to the wing, and compare sim to rl. I was hoping that Inibuilds would have improved upon their craft and produced accurate wing modelling for their 350 comparible to PMDG and Fenix's spot on renditions (especially since they charged similar prices to those two devs). Their aircraft are always nice to fly but after the novelty wears off, I never revisit them like I do the PM 73, 77 and Fnx 32 since Ini wings make them look toy-like. BetrWingmodels Posted March 16 Posted March 16 Got a response from Eddie from Inibuilds who has informed me that he has indeed passed my feedback along. Inibuilds has so much potential. The sound is almost perfect and if it never gets any improvement, I will still love it (high end spool/between 50 and 70 %N1 losses that scream but the roar above 70% and the initial spool up to 40% is perfect for me. Everything about the systems, I love. Even prior to the updates. Now it is even better. My frustration with Inibuilds comes from understanding how good they are. If they can get the modelling improved to mirror the real aircraft, imho, once they correct the wings and horizontal stabilizer of the A350, that plane will become my No.1, pushing my beloved B77W to second place until Boris finally blesses us with perfect, superior soundpacks. Anyway, glad it's not the A340-600 with inaccurate external modelling otherwise I'd cry.
Swisspilot1986 Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago Is this add-on not licensed by Airbus? Can't Airbus give real technical plans to help Inibuilds?
