Well, finally it is the same. The flight plan in the Simulator EFB must be the final one you would like to use. If this is the case, you can send it to the avionics of the plane. This is the way how the MS flight plans are applied. Some planes need additional settings in order to accept flight plans from the simulator EFB. In some planes the sync makes problems. So I usually skip the MS internal tools and use Simbrief. It is much more reliable.

And the flight plan in the EFB was the one you planned in the web-based planner?

You have to load the plan into the simulator EFB and send it from there to the aircraft avionics. The planner is just a web frontend, it does nothing. The crucial part is the EFB in the simulator, there the work has to be done. Nevertheless, using Simbrief is the better way.

Did you send the flight plan from the EFB to the aircraft? The setting only determines which nav data is used; it has nothing to do with the flight plan.

You mean CTD? Then please review the crash log in the Windows Event Log and surrounding log messages +/- 1 minute around the crash in ALL LOG CATEGORIES in Windows. Since there are hundreds of log categories in Windows, I recommend using a tool collecting all log entries and sorting them chronological, like the FullEventLogViewer. Otherwise it will take you hours to sort our all relevant log entries.

Then it could be the “package_order_hint” issue. See the Navigraph forum for details. If the Navigraph navigation data is installed and there is only one incompatible MSFS 2020 add-on without a “package_order_hint” entry, then Navigraph will malfunction. The add-on doesn't even have to be used; simply having it installed is enough. Symptoms include missing Nav-IDs, non-functioning ILS approaches, failed imports of Simbrief flight plans, etc. Solution: Either skip the incompatible add-on or add the “package_order_hint” entry. There are PowerShell scripts that check all add-ons for this entry and then report which updates are missing it.

Do you have Navigraph Navdata installed in the simulator and the plane?

Mouse and Keyboard can also cause double assignments.
