canmanblue Posted November 20, 2022 Posted November 20, 2022 After many attempts to start the engines after the gpu has been set up for proper bleed and turning the ignition to A or B and pressing the start switch it does not illuminate green and the N2 or N1 does nothing. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Alexair Posted November 21, 2022 Posted November 21, 2022 Do you have the ASU connected? GPU is only for electricity ASU is only for bleed air for engine start APU provide both + bleed air for air conditionning (ASU does not) I just gave it a try and ground bleed air start work fine on my side (either starting N°1 or N°2 first, both are fine).
Deleted Account Posted November 21, 2022 Posted November 21, 2022 Yeah, as Alexair said, GPU alone won´t be enough to start the engines. There are tutorial videos on our Youtube channel that will show you what to do 🙂 https://www.youtube.com/@iniBuilds/videos
canmanblue Posted November 23, 2022 Author Posted November 23, 2022 I have been a Microsoft flight simmer since the beginning and have had Pmdg 737 aircraft since they where introduced to this flightsim and have now the Pmdg 737 700 and the 800 and I have had no problems starting the engines, as well as the A320neo and this A310 is going to the trash can, as I have tried everything and used every you tube video on start up and still a no go. My computer is not low end by no stretch so. So on my computer this A310 is nothing more than crap.
Alexair Posted November 23, 2022 Posted November 23, 2022 Well, everybody is able to start those engines but you. Something telling me that it's not the A310 the problem. Again, verify the starting procedure, this is not an A320 neither a 737. Also, check your joystick/yoke//throttle assignments for mixture, throttle etc. Any binding that might cause this issue. SOme people had various issues because of that. I have Logitech HOTAS X56 and Honeycomb Alpha/Bravo, both are fine with the A310. I have a low end PC and it is starting just fine, either with APU or the ASU.

But with an attitude like that it is really hard to help you. As Alexair said, the engines start for seemingly everyone, but you. Could you maybe record a video of what you are doing? 1
canmanblue Posted November 28, 2022 Author Posted November 28, 2022 I want to thank everyone who responded to my post. I took Alexair's advise on binding issues that I might have. And yes I did have a binding issue with my overhead panel where I assigned my starter knob and start switches in MFS2020 to it. I removed the assignments in Mfs2020, and the starting process worked in the 310 immediately. So there is binding issue with this plane when assigning the same operations in other peripherals to fs2020. I use Button Box Interface from Leo Bodnar on my panels, and haven't had incompatibly issues until this plane. Maybe I will find a solution to it some day. 1
canmanblue Posted November 28, 2022 Author Posted November 28, 2022 This is to gumbyger I apologize for saying the A310 was crap. This comment was made from frustration and should have not been said when seeking assistance or otherwise. So for that I sincerely say I am sorry. I never thought it would be my assignment to another peripheral. 2
