whiggy Posted November 15, 2022 Posted November 15, 2022 Hello! Is an RNAV approach official possible in A310? How is the procedure? Or do I have to use FPA?

Harrier77 Posted November 16, 2022 Posted November 16, 2022 I have followed the procedures in the video but I have yet to get it to work. I have tried two times so far and the navigation turns off course at the descent point both times. It could be me, but as an experienced RW Airbus pilot I believe I am doing things correctly. I guess I will try some more otherwise its back to selected modes only.
Fleau31 Posted November 16, 2022 Posted November 16, 2022 Hi personnaly already flown RNAV approaches with the A310. Follow the requirements mentionned in the inibuild A310 manual as attached + Push Profile button juste before the FAF : Aircraft is following the VNAV path.

I have followed that procedure and twice the aircraft turns away from the final course at the FAF. I will try some more approaches to see if it is procedure dependent.

Did it several times for training yesterday. 1
