Unable to use WinCtrl NWS tiller with A220

Featured Replies

For some reason, my inputs are not registering. Pedal Disc works fine, but the steering itself doesn't respond.

Nose Steer is set to "off" (amber light goes out, no green light that shows "ON" or anything).

Have you verified in the Settings menu that the correct binding (Nose Wheel Steering Axis) is binded to the tiller as well as ensuring that the hardware is translating the motion into the sim correctly? If you can upload a YT Video Unlisted or Google Drive Link to better assist. Additionally I recommend making a post in the Synaptic Discord so other users and their team can possibly assist with this as I do not have WINCTRL Hardware, it might take me longer to diagnose.

Yes, it's binded correctly as its responding to my inputs in the MSFS settings page. It also works fine with the Fenix A320 and Ini A350. If I disconnect/connect the pedal via the WinCtrl tiller, it also registers.

So its registering hardware actions but not the actual input to traverse the nose gear?

Hi,

Sorry to hear you're having issues. Can you confirm whether your tiller binding is set to nosewheel steering in the MSFS settings?

Thanks!

Thank you for the confirmation. I have just tested the issue using v1.0.3 and was unable to reproduce the behavior on my end. I will make note of your report and pass it along to the Synaptic team for further review.

In the meantime, if you haven't already, I recommend joining the Synaptic Discord. The community and support team may be able to provide additional troubleshooting assistance or help identify the cause of the issue.

Thanks!

ok so i tried to start at the runway with engines already on, the tiller works. but starting at the gate with everything off, the tiller doesn't work after i push back.

Hi,

Thank you for the feedback. That's interesting to hear, as I regularly use GSX pushback with the aircraft and haven't experienced any issues myself. I'll make a note of your report and pass it along to the Synaptic team for review.

Thank you!
