June 28Jun 28 Greetings,I just updated to the latest version of the A300 Premium for MSFS 2024. After the update, the APU will no longer start.Any suggestions?
June 28Jun 28 Staff Hi, I haven't been able to reproduce this, can you fully uninstall then reinstall the aircraft and if you are still having issues, record and upload the video to either YT or Google Drive then link here that way we can see what may be happening. Thank you.
June 28Jun 28 Author Hello,I have un-installed re-installed again. No difference. I also did notice the lower ECAM stays on the pressurization page when the APU switch is set to "On". It's been a while since I've flown the A300, but shouldn't that switch automatically to the APU page?I am not able to record. There really is nothing record, anyway. I'm on external power, have a fuel tank selected (I even tried it with all tanks selected), move the APU switch to the "On" position, wait a few seconds, then press the start button. Nothing happens.
Monday at 01:24 PM5 days Author Here is some more info that I have discovered regarding this. The APU issue seems to be affecting the GE engined version. I loaded a PW engined version this morning and everything worked normally. After that, I uninstalled the 2020/20204 version and the Premier version. I restarted the computer and then installed only the Premier version. Rebooted the computer. Loaded the PW freighter and all was good. Loaded the GE pax version and the same issues were there. When the GE version is loaded, I observe the following:The sunscreen in front of the pilot is in the down position. On the overhead panel, the APU switch is in the "On" position as is the APU Bleed switch. The Emergency Lights switch is in the "On" position. After applying electrical power via the batteries and external power, all of the displays are totally dark - the lighting knobs have to be turned up so the displays can be seen.Attached is a picture of the GE version ECAM after the aircraft has power to it and the displays turned up.
Tuesday at 02:30 AM5 days Staff Thank you for this, I’ll look into this once I have my pc up and running as mine kicked it last night. That said it shouldn’t be more than a week for me to get back to this.
Tuesday at 09:35 AM4 days Author OK, thank you. This morning I loaded both the PW and GE Inibuilds House liveries and the results were the same as I have outlined above.
Tuesday at 11:23 AM4 days Same here, also buttons cannot be set to "on" in the "spoiler and spbk" sub panel. This happens only if you start "cold and dark", starting "on grd power" or "on APU" everything is normal except of the tiny clickspots which make your life difficult -already reported some time ago.
Wednesday at 04:21 PM3 days Staff Hello,For those encountering this issue, can you test the A300 Isolated as the only Addon in the Community folder, we want to see if it's occurring due to 3rd Party as I am not able to reproduce this nor 2 other team members.Thank you.
Thursday at 09:56 AM2 days Author I renamed the Community Folder and created a new one. I copied the Inibuilds A300 aircraft folder into the new folder. Started MSFS 2024 and loaded the Inibuilds A300 GE in House Livery (only liveries available were the House and plain white - as it should have been). No change in results. Still the same issues I posted about earlier. Edited Thursday at 10:00 AM2 days by Flugkapitan Clarification
Thursday at 11:40 PM2 days You can put me on the list as well. You're not alone Flugkapitan.Bruce RNZ
Friday at 12:00 AM2 days Author Thank, you Bruce!Sorry to hear that you and some others having the same issues.Nice to know that I'm not alone. Kinda thought I was the only one after I first posted and then put in a ticket with support. The person I have been in contact with via the ticket has stated he cannot reproduce the issue. I fully realize bugs such as this are very difficult to track down. However, before v1.0.9, this was not an issue.FWIW, I am currently on a flight EDDL - GMMN in the A300GE. After loading the aircraft and then changing the panel status to "On GPU", there hasn't been any issues.Regards,Scott Edited Friday at 01:05 AM2 days by Flugkapitan Typo
Friday at 05:04 AM2 days All I can say is there is definitely something wrong with the GE. In addition to what you have said, I also have problems with the GE's EFB. It's not the EFB itself, but rather the ability to change pages. There's no click spot within the small aircraft symbol circle in the top left corner. There's one 'very' small spot just below it, but the location seems to change every time I want to change pages. I seem to spend more time clicking around the area looking for the spot to change pages than I do flying the aircraft. It's really frustrating. A big thanks to KorEI for finding a solution to get over the APU problem. Unfortunately, it doesn't solve the EFB click spot problem I have. Not all's lost. I have no problems at all with the PW, including the EFB, so that's what I fly.Bruce R NZ
Friday at 06:32 AM2 days As for me, the APU works as it should (v1.0.9) at the PW and GE freighter (cold and dark). I use the freighters only. I did not test the pax version. But there is no heat blur exhaust effect out of the APU after the v1.0.9.Anyway, Ini should check it, even for the other "Captains".......
