Latest Tristar 1.0.2 streamed from MSFS 2024 servers (because for the life of me I get a 'failed to install' every time I try to install).

Take off. Get annoyed with TM mode, 500fpm then 6000pfm, then AoA mode, then back to TM 250IAS. Trim, you want to do something please?

Set AP heading same as runway, 211. Flies straight for a bit, then left in a circle. Re-select heading mode and it'll turn back to 211.

ALT capture you ask for? Nope, ALT exceed is what is given and if you're doing 250 IAS the TM will soon revert to AoA mode again.

ILS you say? The AP will engage, follow a bit then zoom zoom off in another direction.

Its a shame after all the set up to get the Tristar going only to get airborne and the AP has been on the gin's on the taxi out. The Tristar is unplayable if you want to do anything more than set the INS.

When you go to install the update, do you have the tristar selected in free flight?
You have to select another aircraft and then complete the update from the marketplace, otherwise it will run into errors as your trying to update the aircraft whilst its loaded.

For the rest - remain in control of the aircraft and preempt/stay ahead of the aircraft and everything works fine.
Some of the things metnioned here are in other posts and being worked on or have solutions already 🙂

Just to clarify, if you're streaming the plane, do you need to "install" whenever there's an update? Or it just if you have downloaded it? I'm streaming and I didn't see a obvious way to do this. In my library it seems like its v1.02 anyway and no "install" button. Sorry , silly question.

Thank you!  Worked a real treat, all installed.  Good work.

Doing a (not at all similar to the before test flight) fully loaded, 222.5 ton YSSY-RJTT flight.  Climb out to 1500 on 34L, turn to RIC NDB. Hit INS and VS 1000fpm till clean, around 250IAS.  Hit TM and VNAV.  Engines roll back from .6EPR to idle then move to climb .445 and kind of maintain 250, a lot of  VS changes (500-2500).

After FL100, plane drops to 500FPM until 320IAS. Now we are happily porpoising to FL320.  From 500-2000.

Captured FL320 in a fairly unattractive style, 500 feet before the engines rolled back then reved up. How ever we did not blast past and sat happy at FL320.

It had a more solid climb performance in the initial release, I would say the 1.0.2 update made some aspects worse.
