Stwutter Posted November 5 Posted November 5 (edited) Hi, On my last 2 flights my a340 has essentially frozen about halfway through a long flight. I can move the gauges and dials, but nothing happens. The aircraft just flies straight and won't follow the course any more. The only way out is to kill the flight. I did read a couple of weeks ago (I had it happen once before) that this was due to a Airac update. I've tried using both Navigraph and the in game data (via the EFB), but to no avail. Is there a solution or workaround to this? I have a great, long haul plane that I essentially can't use as it keeps bugging out X amount of time into a flight. It's a lot of time to invest for it just to screw up all of the time. Cheers. Edited November 5 by Stwutter 1
janiTTor Posted November 8 Posted November 8 Cheers, same here. I've tried with 1.0.1, 1.0.2 and last night with 1.0.3. Always the same: That was the very last try. Bye
Stwutter Posted November 8 Author Posted November 8 Yeah, it's frustrating. I did manage a full, long-haul flight yesterday. I turned off auto-save and didn't use FS Realistic. I'm doing a flight tonight where I'll use FSR to see if it's one or the other - or was just a fluke. My main gripe Inibuilds lack of giving a toss about any of this.
khakans Posted December 1 Posted December 1 (edited) Unfortunately, this problem started happening to me a few days ago. Edited December 2 by khakans i7-7700k 4.2Ghz cpu / 16 Gb ram / RTX3060Ti 8Gb vga / Msfs2020 and Msfs2024 Su4 Stable / Products: A340 / A350
InigoRV Posted December 6 Posted December 6 I was flying to Zurich today. Before the descent, I tried to change the arrival and suddenly, all the instruments and dials in the cockpit got frozen. But the aircraft still flies. This is the second time that I try this flight. After 1:30 in the first attempt, the same happened without changing anything. I really don't know what's the cause. The outbound leg went perfectly well. However, the way back to ZRH is becoming impossible.

However, I've been experiencing a WASM crash sometimes for the past few days, but I don't know if it's related to the Su4 beta. i7-7700k 4.2Ghz cpu / 16 Gb ram / RTX3060Ti 8Gb vga / Msfs2020 and Msfs2024 Su4 Stable / Products: A340 / A350

Okey...after updating to the Su4 beta, I was able to land at Zurich. With a lot of stuttering, but "flyable". It's quite curious how the sim handles way better 4 short sectors in a raw than a 7-8 hours single flight.
khakans Posted December 7 Posted December 7 Good news. Honestly after su4 I have better fps and no stuttering with my system which is in my sigature. May be you need to make some new settings in grafics. i7-7700k 4.2Ghz cpu / 16 Gb ram / RTX3060Ti 8Gb vga / Msfs2020 and Msfs2024 Su4 Stable / Products: A340 / A350
RoyalAviator Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago This still happens unfortunately - tried a long haul last night from KSJC to NZCH with the latest version of the A340 and woke up to find my plane floating in the Pacific with the gauges frozen at cruise settings (i.e. PFD says I'm level at FL360 but the fish on the windshield say otherwise). 🙂 Not sure what causes it, but it's frustrating not being able to do a proper long haul in the A340 :(.

I put the A340 through a stress test the other day doing 6 consecutive short hauls and not a single issue. It's only the long hauls that seem to break it. Also, SEC-PLN gives a WASM crash too.
