Systems freeze (Not WASM crash, SU4)

Featured Replies

So far I have not been able to complete a single flight in the A340 (4 attempts) without having to restart the sim and load an autosave at least once per flight. At some point in the flight, when not doing anything, all systems will freeze and not recover. Sometimes it happens on climb out, and sometimes it happens 7 hours in to the flight. This is not a WASM crash as the logs don't mention any WASM related errors and the clock keeps running. I am using SU4 beta.

I get the same in SU3, exactly as you describe but my log shows WASM issues… try with navdata off for now… I can’t see this being fixed for a few months

Hello,

Please try opting into the SU4 beta environment and let me know if you still experience this.

Thank you

As mentioned, I am already on SU4 beta.

Apologies, meant to tag Roders.
I have forwarded your information (09tir98) to our team; taking a look at what could be going on here.

I just had exactly the same thing happen. Complete freeze of all systems but doesn't look like a wasm crash, i.e. can't move the aircraft, controls have no effect. Had to restart, very frustrating. SU4

I'm not on SU4. My Flight freeze. The clock still ticking an the Buttons are able to click, but no reactions. Flightpath disappears from ND... No Wasm crash to report...

Yeah I am getting the same in SU3 - if the same is happening in SU4 im not sure what I can do to fix this. I started another thread and attached my .bin file.

I got exactly the same issue. First experienced it in SU3 then upgraded to SU4 Beta and the same problem occurs. Displays and interactions freeze. You can still click some buttons but they dont have any effect.

Using 1.0.2, but had this with 1.0.1 as well. Also I am using SimApp Pro for the WINWING MCDU and MiniFCU. Never had these issues before with any other aircraft. I mostly flew Fenix A320 so far and thought I would give the 340 a try. Really hope you guys get these issues solved. Its no fun when you are several hours into a flight and this happens.

Same here, nearly every flight there is a system freeze.

Unfortunately, we aren't able to do much about "same here". It is very hard to track these down unless we receive autosave files which lets us recreate the exact scenario. We've published a guide on how to properly report said crashes here: https://forum.inibuilds.com/topic/33786-how-to-verify-and-report-wasm-crashes/

Please create a dedicated thread following that guide and we are more than happy to take a look.
Thank you 🙂
