iniSteven Posted November 5 Posted November 5 Hi all, are you all running in Su4? If so, keep in mind that it is a beta version of the simulator and new builds are being pushed quite frequently. As such, we cannot test and guarantee stability in all situations as there are multiple updates a week oftentimes. If you are unable to fly the aircraft, I would recommend returning to Su3 in the meantime until Su4 is finalized. AMD 7800x3d - 64gb RAM - nVidia RTX 5080
Mantock Posted November 5 Author Posted November 5 I have been consistently having this issue since your v1.0.0, all the way to your v1.0.2 - and I'm running SU3.
TheAviator Posted November 5 Posted November 5 Same for me, haven‘t been able to complete a flight with the A340.
Mantock Posted November 7 Author Posted November 7 I see that update 1.0.3 has just arrived. I don't hold out much hope that this issue is fixed but I'll test it anyway with a few longhauls and see what happens.
Mantock Posted November 13 Author Posted November 13 Sure enough, on my second longhaul with this aircraft (1.0.3) in SU3, the same bug happened yet again. Still hasn't been squashed. This aircraft has consistently only worked about 50% of the time ever since I bought it. If this isn't patched soon I'll be asking for a refund. 1
Mantock Posted November 23 Author Posted November 23 (edited) Inibuilds, could we get some clarity on what this bug even is? We've never heard what it actually is thats doing this. Would be very interested to hear if anyone else is getting this on the latest update. Edited November 23 by Mantock
Peter Posted November 24 Posted November 24 Guys, the A350 does it also Something in the code as Im sure they share alot of it
Mantock Posted November 25 Author Posted November 25 (edited) Really???! Thats crazy. So they have a multi-product bug that they've still not patched out of not one, but TWO of their major products?? People might think im over reacting, but I literally have only ever completed about 50% of the flights I've ever tried to date with the A340. Edited November 25 by Mantock
Mantock Posted November 28 Author Posted November 28 (edited) So my first atempt at doing a flight on the new update: So apparently it managed to stay on its magenta line for the entire flight until it failed to pause even though I had set it to pause at TOD in the settings. So........you can start to see how I only ever successfully complete about 50% of flights with this aircraft!!! goodness sake - I'm starting to regret my purchase decision Edited November 28 by Mantock 1
Tibor Posted November 30 Posted November 30 (edited) Hi, I am also not able to complete any flights, similar issues, on my side especially using DIR or changing arrival rwy and procedure. In both cases the remaining of the flight plan is deleted, texts start overlap on MCDU, etc, so for online flying (and honestly for any flying) it is unusable (least on my setup). I am on SU3, ver.1.0.4, already had same issue on ver.1.0.3. I also having the impression, it was not my best investment of the year... Edited November 30 by Tibor
Frateu Posted November 30 Posted November 30 (edited) Hi, I also haven't been able to complete some of the more recent flights. Since I bought them I've always been able to, but after the A350 update 1.1.7 and the A340 update 1.0.4, I haven't been able to do it properly. Some flights I can complete without problems, while others are frustrating. Edit: I am using the SU3 Edited November 30 by Frateu Add information
Mantock Posted December 2 Author Posted December 2 Maybe all the louder people who say this plane is fine, are all on the SU4 beta at this point and so the SU3 folks are falling through the cracks? I don't know. Would love to have some clarity on what the devs are doing to try and fix this issue, as this aircraft is still not reliable for me as a longhaul aircraft. Such a shame, I was really looking forward to this one. 1

Can we get an answer anytime from you as to whether or not the devs have actually identified yet what this is? This issue seems to be cropping up primarily in SU3 still, not SU4.
Silo01 Posted December 4 Posted December 4 I am on SU3 and since a few days, my longhauls crash always after around 3-4 hours of flying. This has happened on 1.0.3 and now also 1.0.4. Until last week, the a340 was rock solid for me in regards to wasm crashes while airborne but now they have caught up to me also.
Mantock Posted Friday at 07:03 AM Author Posted Friday at 07:03 AM (edited) AAAAhhhhhhhhh here we are again. My very next atempt after my last atempt (which ended in failed TOD pause) I come back to the sim and the aircraft is skimming the trees, but on the PFD I'm still apparently up at FL350!!! I don't know why I try at this point. No devs seem to be caring about this thread at all. But we've been consistently showing that there are big issues still even after multiple patches. I don't have the motivation to continue trying to test it to see if it works or not, not until I see some headway from the devs in trying to address whatever bug this is!! If I don't find that its patched by the next major update, I'll be wanting my money back. Until then, I might just go and fly the Headwind Simulations 787-9....It's free.....and it gets me to my destination. Edited Friday at 07:04 AM by Mantock
Mantock Posted 7 hours ago Author Posted 7 hours ago I did my first 11hr 20mins from EDDF to VHHX today all without any issues. Obviously now im on SU4 Im wondering if all these problems were SU3? Is anyone having the same issues on SU4? Ive only done one flight as of yet so still need to test more.
Eddie Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago WASM crashes are extremely random and hard to track down unless we are given very specific information. We have a guide on how you can report said information, that way we can address it directly. Available here: However, hopefully you won't encounter these edge-cases going forward. Enjoy! khakans Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago When I bought my A340, its version was either 1.0, 2, or 3. I enjoyed many trouble-free flights with it. Now I've parked it and I'm waiting. There should be a way to revert to those versions. Please provide us with this opportunity until a new version with fixed issues is released. It's very upsetting not being able to fly my favorite aircraft model. i7-7700k 4.2Ghz cpu / 16 Gb ram / RTX3060Ti 8Gb vga / Msfs2020 and Msfs2024 Su4 Stable / Products: A340-300
