I put the master cursor and the engine one to the max setting. However, engines are too quiet outside and inside. What really disappointing is the engines sound from cockpit and business galley (so every places in the front of the engines). We barely hear the typical roaring sound of the CFM even with a full sound up. Fenix does it very well sorry. In addition, I was seating in biz galley as a cabin crew for 3 years in this machine. I know it.

well the engines in the A340 are a little further away from the front of the aircraft

First, congratiulations for a really good aircraft. I've just flown from FRA to BOS without a showstopper like a CTD or similar. Flew very nicely and smooth on FPS.

But my far the biggest (and so far my only) thing I'm really disappointed of, are the sounds:

1) Engine sounds: As mentioned above, it just doesn't sound like an A340 from the inside. It's not about volume. I know you don't hear the engines too loud from the cockpit. But it's about the typical high pitch whine that is completely missing, and the typical roaring sound of the A340, that just sounds different. The idle sounds are fit in a little better, but still sounds quite strange when spooling up. In this matter, I find even the sounds of the free A330 matched a lot better.

2) Touchdown sound: Your A330 has been the first aircraft ever, where you could really feel the famous "double" touchdown of the main wheels of the A330/340 series: First, a light rattle when the aft main wheels touch down, and then a firm bump sound and a more intensive rattle when the front wheels of the main gear touch. I loved that so much in the A330, as it added so much immersion. Could you pleeeeease add this feature for the A340, too, especially as the knowledge of how to do that, seems to be there. That would add so much immersion while landing. Because at the moment, there is just one single "Boom" when landing the A340. Thanks.

In Settings, Audio Settings, drag the Environment slider to zero.  This improves the internal and external sounds.  However, I suspect this eliminates gear touch down sounds as a side effect.  More testing required.

Hey guys,

Environmental mixing has been adjusted (reduced in intensity) and touchdown sounds bumped for the next build. 🙂 That double touchdown will be far more prominent.

I’m very sorry, no disrespect to the work by E19 guys, but IMHO engines sounds are far from the real aircraft. Flight deck and cabin. I’ve flown A LOT on this aircraft and I can tell. I hope I’ll get backed up by others and eventually the sounds get overhauled. For me the soundstage quality is a go/no go for any addon.

Ask Boris maybe he can help.

I talk to Boris a lot, he said it actually sounds good. I was asking *you* for more detailed feedback, not just "far from reality," as that is very subjective.

I don't want to be rude despite I feel angry and disappointed. I've only a vague feeling to be on board like before in my career. Indeed, I used this real aircraft nearly at a full time during 3 years in the cabin and sometimes in the cockpit for take offs and cruise. I barely feel and hear this typical CFM sound (with more bass and "stereo sound" as it's 4 of them compared with the A320) despite the 2nd update made it a little better. Even this one from LVFR make me more happy but its aircraft is just bad.

You're right. This is subjective. In addition, sound isn't my job ans words can't express a feeling entirely. If I'm the only one to complain I'll ask for a refund and it'll be fine, too.

I do agree with SP1986, and I can attribute my own experience to be nearly the same as his, I’ve been cabin crew for three years flying on B777, A330 and 343/345. My concern for A343 is specifically the artificial feel the current engine sounds produce, remind me of a vacuum cleaner rather than genuine jet turbine rumble. But at the end of the day we can all agree that when it comes to sounds it’s all subjective and opinions may vary. I hope u don’t get me wrong, the sound package is very good, but it can be worked on to become near perfection
