YS-11 free trial ? Where/how ?

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

The NAMC YS-11 is in the marketplace, but there is no option for a free trial. Only the "buy" and the "buy and download" options that send me straight to the full purchase in Steam.

That's in MSFS 2020 Steam edition.

Anyone can tell me how to try it it for 1 day ?

Thanks !

I believe the free trial is only a MSFS2024 feature, not 2020.

With that said, the YS-11 is absolutely worth it if you're into old turboprops

Thanks for your reply.

Yes, I like old turboprop. Is it fully or almost fully functionnal or just basic ? Do you need to follow real procedures to handle the beast ? Otherwise, if it's on the arcade side I'm not interested. That's why I wanted to try it.

It doesn't have failures or anything but procedurally from a button clicking perspective it's close to the real thing, using past representations of the aircraft in older flightsims as well as the real manual as an example.

Because of the possiblity to try this plane free, I did it and I loved it, so I bought it. Just to let you know I really love this plane. Quite fast plane (260 to 270 knots), like how I can configure the passengers, like the ligthing of the cabin with the dimmer, like the sound set and especially the propellers animation. Very well done. This plane offer me all I like on a prop plane. Congratulation.
