LineDX Posted Monday at 02:41 PM Posted Monday at 02:41 PM (edited) Hi guys, is it normal for A359 to take almost 300nm to climb to FL410. OPKC-OPIS total distance is 667nm. Full pax load, 13 tons of fuel, Enrt windows calm, Enrt ISA +05. Is it a normal climb performance for a modern airliner? after FL200 it is climbing at 800ft/min to 500ft/min at THR DCLB. even THR CLB makes a very little difference. Simbrief OFP shows TOC in 145nm whereas ini a350 taking 300nm to TOC. Please share your thoughts and experience on it. BTW using FS2024 SU3. Regards Edited Monday at 02:43 PM by LineDX
Matthias0412 Posted Monday at 05:52 PM Posted Monday at 05:52 PM had a similar experience on a A35K from Doha to JFK with a TOW of around 310t. Climbed too slow and couldn't even reach the optimum ALT indicated in the FMS... I really think the ini team needs to work on aircraft performance.
Transair Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago (edited) yes must admit the 350 climbs VERY slowly.....not sure how normal this is.. Edited 22 hours ago by Transair
LineDX Posted 13 hours ago Author Posted 13 hours ago Just did a test flight in colder temps. YVR-YYC.. climb performance looks good. In warmer temps, seems like slow climb is due to higher temps BUT still it should not be 400-800ft/min even with light loads. Team ini please review the climb performance in warmer temps. Regards
