Nodz Posted March 14 Posted March 14 I must say that as fun as flying this plane is, it can be just as frustrating if not more. I can’t for some reason be able to complete majority of my flight. I’ve been flying the a350 almost everyday and mostly long haul for about 12+ hours and 70-80% of my flights end the same way where I had to say something here on the forums about it as it has become too frustrating for a $70+ addon. The autopilot disconnects from out of no where. I sleep and let the plane fly over night and wake up for the approach and landing as I do with all other planes such as pmdg and fbw etc.. but this is the only plane I’m having these troubles with. Just starts falling slowly from the sky doing some 360’s in the process. It’s not a stall, the plane is configured correctly, so what could it be? Is any one else facing this issue? I’ve attached some photos from Voltana for reference.

aingramncl Posted March 16 Posted March 16 i get this a lot and after monitoring my flight recently and not going to sleep, it seems the aircraft looses speed and goes below aircrafts minimum stall speed, see atached image of my speed at mach .57 and only able to climb to FL330 when my optimum is FL400, is there something i have done wrong here or is this a general WASM failure? 1
mssc Posted March 17 Posted March 17 (edited) Similar problem MSFS2024 A350-1000 / ZSPD-EGLL AP disconnected and went to Protect mode after approx. 12 hours in flight. With turbulence effects to low. Maintained perfect path for similar weather earlier in the route but disconnected later between waypoints BUDPO and PATAK. capizolano Posted March 18 Posted March 18 i has the same problem. 4 times the engines turn off during the fligh. i turn of the apu, turn on the engines again. for save time i must fly whit apu on.
BENJI4530 Posted March 18 Posted March 18 I had the same issue flying through Romania, I have AP protection on and active sky FS on. the autopilot didn't disconnect, the plane went into heading mode by itself luckily it was on the same trajectory as the airport.
BENJI4530 Posted March 18 Posted March 18 I've witnessed it happening via Volanta in 2020 as well. it usually happens when the weather bugs out. I love what they've done with the plane, I just hope there's a fix for that because of right now it's a hit or miss for long haul routes.

こばと 笠森 Posted March 19 Posted March 19 (edited) I got FS2020 and latest update 1.0.4 with A350 My flight from ONT to TPE on monday, didn't see anything wired before i'm going for work, then It went into spinning above Bering Sea, and it crashed after runinng out of fuel. I don't have much information about this flight because I'm not home that time, but Volanta flight data shows that no significan altitude change after it went into spinning and airspeed went up and down. Then I took sencond attempt next day night, about 2 hours in flight, before I went to sleep I noticed that the autopilot went into HDG and ALT mode itself, AP went working normal again after I pushed both buttom back to NAV and ALT CRZ mode. Same issue happened about 7.5 hours in flight, AP went into HDG and ALT mode AGAIN near Kamchatka Peninsula and flew into Russian airspace. I pulled the airplane back on the route on second pic below. This is kind of frustrating that It seems she is not ready for long hual flight. Edited March 19 by こばと 笠森
Karkass Posted Friday at 03:46 PM Posted Friday at 03:46 PM (edited) This might sound funny, but I had the same problem, but it occurred after making small movements around the cockpit using the keyboard. And by default, in the keyboard settings, the movements coincide with the aircraft joystick control. I removed the assignments joystick on the keyboard and everything became fine. MZFW is wrong on the A35K, You cant walk away for a second because AP will go nuts and thats if you dont get a WASM ;_; I am leaving this alone for a month and hope to come back to it atleast working a basic level, just simple A to B should work well with all the basics of the aircraft being correct

And could you verify at least that there no keybindings introducing those AP disconnects? I experienced disconnects assuming from unnessesary key bindings. Schaffhausen Posted Saturday at 02:16 PM Posted Saturday at 02:16 PM (edited) From my experience, the AP disconnect happened on long-haul flights after step climb to F380 or higher, maybe the step climb was too aggressive? Edit: Nevermind, it happened again at F370, 1.0.5. Edit 2: I had to refuel in mid-air in order to reach Melbourne, and when I was on final approach at roughly 300ft, the plane did a uncommanded nose up which I cannot control with my stick all the way to the front. All of this is unacceptable for a product of this price. I am a user and I've paid for a functional product, not a beta tester, perhaps Inibuilds should consider paying all of us to discover the bugs they've introduced to the plane.
