Pxdriinnnn Posted January 11 Posted January 11 Since the last sim update, I have had problems performing RNAV and RNP approaches. When activating APPR mode, the Vdev indication appears on the screen but it is not activated. Following the image below, it is possible to see that the mode is selected, I am on the final approach, aligned with the runway and the final app is not activated. The V/dev just passes by my altitude but it is not captured
BoeingSpeedbird Posted January 11 Posted January 11 Did you activate approach phase in MCDU and make sure flight plan is sequenced?
Pxdriinnnn Posted January 11 Author Posted January 11 Yes sir, the approach phase was activated, and the flight plan was sequenced correctly. I tried 3 other airports in Brazil and got the same issue
BoeingSpeedbird Posted January 11 Posted January 11 I only ask as there are some videos of approach mode being activated but not approach phase.
Azlog Posted January 14 Posted January 14 I've noticed this as well that the A20N v2 just won't follow RNAV approaches on APP mode. It flies straight through the vertical path and doesn't descend. No issues before the last update that broke the cockpit lights
Harry.pocher Posted January 29 Posted January 29 Hello, first of all...i love the A320 Neo! I spend so much time with this aircraft in MSFS 2020! But same probleme here. On an RNAV Approach i armed the "APP" before i pass the FAF. The V/DEV is shown correctly but at the FAF Point (V/DEV is on the marker) the aircraft doesnt sink with the correct descend path (3°). The airplane fly straigth ahead on the last constraint-height (3000ft). I checked the MCDU, the constraints and descent-path is correct in the database. Here are the conditions: EDDP, RW26R, RNAV26R, FAF KOSAM I tried the RNAV approaches on different airports, everytime with the same problem. I hope you can fix this error. best regards Robert 1
Azlog Posted January 30 Posted January 30 Exactly how it is for me. APP NAV and FINAL in blue should change to FINAL APP in green and follow the purple rectangle but it doesn’t. Also got a problem with the A300 RNAV since the last update but that is for a different thread
KSJ Posted June 2 Posted June 2 Would be nice to have a response from the developer. This is a major defect preventing normal flights. At least give us an update or a projected time of fix.
BA24 Posted July 29 Posted July 29 No response again, seriously! No wonder people have become disillusioned with MSFS. This product hasn’t”t worked properly since you updated in January. It is not unreasonable to expect an answer to questions 6 months later, even it is, we are not going to fix it, we’ve moved on to MSFS 24.
Harry.pocher Posted July 29 Posted July 29 ✅Here is an update! It's working now! I tested today in LFLL RNAV RWY35R. ✅
delmere Posted August 9 Posted August 9 good morning on xbox it still does'nt work please fix it thank you. 1

You need to have activated final approach on the MCDU PERF page and be in managed speed mode for FINAL APP to work 1
BA24 Posted Wednesday at 10:45 AM Posted Wednesday at 10:45 AM Just tried this again. Makes no difference on Xbox if approach mode is activated in perf and managed speed is on. Tried it multiple times at different airports and no difference. RNAV approaches used to work before the update and now they simply don’t.

I’ve done a few recently with no problems but I’m flitting between 2020 and 2024 so can’t remember which sim I’ve done what on
BA24 Posted Saturday at 10:48 AM Posted Saturday at 10:48 AM LFRS Nantes. RNAV approaches for Rwy 3 and 21 on MSFS 2020 on Xbox. Both worked before the update. Now won’t activate Final App as V/dev moves. Same at Madeira RNAV Z Rwy 5 approach. 1

Doing LFRS 21 right now on 2020 and I was in approach mode (minimums 827 set) with gear down and flaps 3 before FRS21 waypoint and FINAL APP worked fine
Azlog Posted Sunday at 01:36 PM Posted Sunday at 01:36 PM Here’s the video of it working into Nantes LFRS 21 https://www.xbox.com/play/media/aZuRixYhq7
