A300 CTD while loading into the sim

Recommended Posts

I'm encountering a CTD in the following situation:

  • Livery - DHL D-AEAF
  • Airport - Aerosoft EBBR/Brussels
  • Optimized texture option

I've done three load-ins in this scenario and it has crashed 2 out of 3 attempts.

So,

Turns out since I am using FS Realistic this program has caused my sim to crash when it was not loaded and I had the A300 loading. Not 100% sure if this was or was not the reason. I figured it should be shared just in case anyone else is running it in the backround.

Cheers.

@CharlySeven

are you running any programs (add on) parallel to starting the sim? Have you tried to reinstall the A300 newly and see if the same problem persist? I had FS Realistic starting and when cancelling it without proper uninstalling it caused my sim to crash now mind you I have a high end pc.

Can you check your event viewer at the next CTD and let us know. Thanks

Same on my system. It happend while loading the cargo version, update 1.0.1 had already been installed. A retry with exactly the same settings has been successfull.

Maybe the Event Log entry regarding to the CTD may be helpful:

Let me know if I can do anything to support further error analysis (e. g. provide a crash dump) or do you receive WER crash dumps from microsoft anyway?

@pizzamonster

try do download the texture directly from the page and install them. Wonder if that might be the reason.

As the tittle suggests I am getting a constant CTD when i click load flight but only with the passenger variant. Is the virtual cabin to much and causing it? Anyone else experiencing this or any CTD

I am also experiencing this. The sim does a CTD after 10 minutes of use. Doesnt happen with any other aircraft. I am using the cargo version of the A300. Unfortunately, no detailed information. Hope they resolve this as I cant use the aircraft until its fixed. Ill try the passenger version and see if that fixes it. I can confirm that I have everything up to date.

Anything third party livery creators should do at this time to prevent this, such as naming our livery packages a specific way? I could be wrong, but from what I've read it seems that improperly structured liveries may be a cause.

A few pilots and I had the same issue with our own liveries. I am more than willing to help out if it leads to a solution.

Is this a similar situation we are experiencing with the A310?

From what we know so far, this is not dependant on liveries and will happen seemingly at random. As I said before, we are looking into it though and it will hopefully be fixed for the next patch.
