A310 stuck in TOGA mode until TOD

Featured Replies

Good afternoon,

I am not sure what I am doing wrong or not programming in the MCDU but when I take off and activate TOGA, the aircraft does not revert back to CL mode.. the autothrottles are stuck in TOGA until TOD. Is this normal for the aircraft or am I missing something during the pre-flight? Thank you!

Heya!

What does it say on your FMA? Does it say THR L by chance? If so the "Alpha Floor" activated and the Autothrottle system needs to be recycled in the overhead panel.

I have read through online manuals and tried to look it up but I cant find anywhere on the overhead panel where you would recycle the Autothrottle.. or is it just pressing the Autothrottle button off and on that is just below the speed/mach knob?

You have to manualy switch the engine control panel to AUTO at throttle reduction altitude.

I am having trouble locating this. Thank you for the reply

After cycling the ATS and ensuring AUTO was selected on the ECP the engines still are stuck in TOGA when I am climbing to my TOD. I am just burning through fuel every time and can not figure it out.

Yeah, everything looks normal as well. It´s not that uncommon for the A310 to climb with over 100 N1 🙂

Are you OK with me closing this thread or can I help you with something else? :]
