I have also now noticed this. To reset, I am having luck unplugging the MCDU, then killing Simappro, then restarting Simappro, then reattaching the MCDU. I haven't had to do this again for the rest of the flight. Just for refererence I'm also running the L+R EFIS and the FCU.

The floods on both the main panel and ped are inoperative

winwing 1.16.68 released this morning at 13:00 UTC addresses MCDU issue for Ini 343. I can confirm MCDU working fine with Inibulds A340-300 V1.02
-
Spoke to Winwing. They recommend waiting for their update to Simappro before updating the A340. I would assume from this they know about the MCDU screen failure with the new 1.02 update.
-
Wondering what the heck changes with the update that would prevent the screen from functioning. Hopefully someone from Inibuilds is reading this. Good news is they figured it out when V1.00 didn't work and V1.01 did so they should have an idea how to fix this.
-
Make sure you're running the latest version of your aircraft. It does make a difference.
-
Yeah, noticed that too. Unplugging/replugging from USB will restore it.

I understand the motivation for selling the A343 in Marketplace. But, it's an all together horrible experience updating. This is on Microsoft not Inibuilds but it does have the result of reflecting badly on Inibuilds. Updating required over an hour of wasted time of fiddling around the interweb trying to see what others were doing to solve MSFS 2024 refusing to install the update before finally getting it done. It works perfectly now but boy do I miss using the Manager. What a shame this excellent product (now my go to A/C) has to endure the pitfalls and bad pr of Microsoft's poorly designed Marketplace. BTW: to update the A/C you have to first delete any reference to it in the Official2024 folder and delete the WASM folder (MSFS will rebuild this folder on the next start).
-
Then I must have another issue because I flew yesterday and it did not. I've seen no updates to Simappro so what is the difference? You're testing it on the purchased A343?
-
Thanks to you and the team for your outstanding support. I think I can speak for the majority of users here on the Forum. The team is far above most of the other developers!
-
I know you worked with Winwing to get Simappro to cover the A340. However, be advised that the MCDU screen doesn't work. The buttons work fine. I reported this issue to WW but, would be great for you to apply some pressure so we can enjoy the full benefit of the A340/WW pair.
-
Unfortunately, although the buttons function correctly and operations are reflected in the A/C, the MCDU display is not functional. Discussed with WW and waiting for their fix.
-
You're absolutely right. I see now what the issue is. They did not update their website product support list to reflect the latest changes to Simappro.
-
Think you missed the point here. All users know that Simappro supports the hardware but Simappro supports only a limited number of aircraft. Here's the list: https://us.winwingsim.com/view/goods-details.html?id=945#catalogue-4 The issue is it doesn't support Inibuilds products. Also, thrid party developers such as Mobiflight historically have produced alternative methods of driving Winwing gear. Mobiflight and others are handicapped due to the unavailability of the list of variables needed to drive the WW MCDU screen. The buttons are working with third parties such as Mobiflight but not the screen. The point I was making is that publication of the variable list would allow us users to have what we need right now. WW has promised the Ini A350 for a long time as an example. But to date no joy. We have no reason to believe the A343 will somehow come to the top of the WW developer's list.
-
Why are we waiting around for Winwing's developers to do a native project? It's a good idea in the long run but, there's other, quicker, alternatives out there just waiting for you to publish the display lvars. Developers such as Mobiflight and others can come up with profiles at light speed. This would be a much more timely and supportive path for your customers. The new A343 is outstanding. Personally, I now use it as my go to platform. I can use a mobiflight profile for the FCU and EFIS's and for the buttons on the MCDU. What a shame I can't use the whole MCDU because they don't have access to what they need. You guys could do well to put development into the hands of more motivated groups. Silly as it may sound, I know a bunch of "pilots" holding off purchase just because they can't use the mcdu.

Thanks for this workaround which works fine. It's now June 2025 and it's still not fixed. I did note on the A330-300 the pop out does work on the EFB.
-
Would be nice to have a response from the developer. This is a major defect preventing normal flights. At least give us an update or a projected time of fix.

Made a post that should not have been made. How does one delete it entirely? Or, can't we?
