    I think I have found the cause of this issue. When the cabin lights are switched off in the EFB, no cockpit illumination stems from the dome light, neither in bright or dimmed. When only a minimum of cabin light is switched on, the dome light seems to work in the cockpit with both cockpit door closed and open. Possibly, when changing panel states as described above, the cabin light switch is altered, hence fixing the problem that way.
