I have seen these type of distortion in other aircrafts too. In my case atleast it was due to having Nvidia frame generation on (or the mod) , and happens particularly when moving the camera rapidly, or in high frequency detail like engine spinners, blades and sometimes even on bright ground textures.

It seems to be broken as of build v1.0.2. I saved a copy of v1.0.1 and tried enable approach on that version and there it works as expected, exactly like the a310, you complete all the prerequisites and press profile button when you are at platform altitude and p.des and p.spd gets armed, and once you reach the faf, those becomes active modes and plane starts descending. In build 1.0.2 with same steps (plus pressing alt gold button to force alt mode from alt* mode at platform altitude) and then pressing the profile button doesn't do anything.

I tried things a bit more controlled this time and made sure I am in alt mode and not in alt star mode at the platform altitude.. and then before final approach fix, I pressed the profile button, rest of the prerequisites still applied, still pressing profile button did not change anything, so no arming of p.des / p.spd This bug made the plane quite difficult to use for some off beat airports, specially if am not prepared for this beforehand.

Ok.. I examined a few a300 photos and I didn't see this in those. It's prominent in similar sized a320 photos. So I believe in removed it because it's not there in the actual aircraft. Disregard this report and close this topic please.

You are right, totally missed that, but why is it removed? Is it not there in the real aircraft?

There was a tutorial from iniBuilds the dh was enabled and set to -5 during preflight preparation. I think the reason for this was something similar to what you heard. You may take a look at the a310 tutorial videos that iniBuilds did for MSFS.

Can confirm this behavior. This happened to me in LFBD while landing to rw 05 and chose to use rnav approach. - - The plane descended using vs mode to platform altitude but remained in alt* mode and never went to alt mode. - MDA was set in the to/appr page - The final x.xx was confirmed in to/appr page. VDEV appeared in that page and the it was below glide path according to it. - NAV mode was the selected lateral mode. - The plane was not past the FAF. - Despite meeting these conditions, while pressing the profile button in fcu, nothing will happen, i.e not getting the blue P.Des and P.spd armed in FMA. - if i don't do anything, the plane just flies level, I had to select altitude selector knob to mda and use vs to descend, i.e old school rnav approach.

The icing indicator in the centre piller of the windshield is missing in v1.0.2. it used to be there in v1.0.1.
