We're apparently at a point where the A300 has eliminated itself from the sim.
Since SU3, the iniManager has been behaving strangely, apparently installing the Compatible version in parallel, and the result is that neither the Compatible nor the Premium version are visible in the sim anymore.
I can't say if this is a SU3, iniManager, or A300 issue, but now the thing is completely gone.
If you uninstall the Compatible version, the Premium version also disappears.
Anyone have any ideas? -
After carefully reading the new development update, we all understand that you have a lot to do and will surely release some great new aircraft.
What I don't understand, however, and what gives me a bad feeling about new releases, is that the A300 cargo version is still unflyable. You wrote that a lot of knowledge, including from the A300, has been incorporated into the new developments. I'm curious to know if the current state of the A300 cargo version meets the quality standards of inibuilds?-

The issue of poor performance in the Cargo variants has unfortunately been known for some time.
Unfortunately, there has been no comment from IniBuilds yet or any information that they're working on it (apart from the standard responses, such as deleting the community folder, sending screenshots, etc.).
It's really sad, and we're talking about a "premium" variant here. -
Since we haven't heard anything about a fix for the poor performance of the cargo version for months, I've slowly come to terms with the idea of switching to the compatible version and the money for the premium version is simply gone (for now).

exactly, even for me. Before the update (from A350 experience) I deleted the Wasm folder, and then ran update: I did a couple of flights, well it seems like another product!
A few small stutters, really minimal, during the taxi (but this often happens with any plane in Msfs24), but for the rest really magnificent.
Plane recovered and reusable finally! So, I've now updated to 1.03, but the stutters in the PW version are still there.
I'd also like to test whether deleting the WASM folder helps. Could I just ask what I need to do to achieve this? -
Thank you, Fornax, for your detailed comparison. I hope we're finally past the "it could be your PC, send us this and that" advice from support. But I'm sure they're working on the A300 in the background. Hopefully.
-
Of course. It's also relatively easy to reproduce. Jump into the cargo with PW engines, spawn on a runway, and press Esc. You can see the stutters in MSFS's custom tracking shot around the plane.
-
I'm now wondering if I've been scammed with the "premium" version. Why is no one on the team responding to this issue anymore, and why are there no more updates?

I also find it really bad that no updates or fixes have been released for months. This is despite the fact that the Cargo PW variant is clearly buggy (there's a forum thread about it).
If this were a freeware aircraft, I would understand, but it's absolutely incomprehensible why the A350 gets one update after another and we have to live with bugs for months on end for a paid product.
Perhaps someone from the inibuilds team would like to comment on this?-

Hello,
Before we try to trouble-shoot further, please try re-installing the aircraft. Very odd that only one variant is posing an issue. Let me know what the results are after said re-install and we can go from there.
Thank you
Eddie he is not the only one. There are several posts in the forum describing the same issue with the cargo variant. Reinstall doesn't solve the stuttering.

Hi everyone,
Thanks for your reports. We need more data in order find the potential cause, and thereby a solution to this issue.
We're as yet unable to reproduce such stutters on our test systems so your co-operation will be greatly appreciated. We request everyone affected to include the following when you're experiencing the issue:
- A screenshot of your entire in-sim FPS counter window
- Your specs (CPU, GPU and RAM)
- IMPORTANT: Please conduct this after spawning on the Runway 10 at TNCM (set time local time to Noon and Clear Skies weather preset)
Once everyone is testing in exact same area and conditions, will also help us to analyse this data better.
The above screenshot is what I'm personally seeing on PW F for example (DHL D-AEAF livery) on my 5800x3D, 3090 and 32GB of RAM in this test.
Other things to try meanwhile:
- Clear your A300 WASM folder: https://forum.inibuilds.com/topic/24448-how-to-clear-the-wasm-folder/
- Reinstall the A300 package after
- Ensure you do not have FSUIPC running + no FSUIPC-lvar-module in your community folder as users have reported problems with this.
- Try running with an empty community folder (just the inibuilds-aircraft-a300 folder in there) to rule out potential add-on conflicts
-
Use default community folder - Some users have reported issues when using a custom user-defined Community Folder path instead of the default ones. To see if you're affected, you may try to only use the default community folder paths for testing:

Are you using an external community folder and msfs addons linker and have perhaps forgotten to tick the boxes there?
-
Edit: Same with the Cargo GE, with Passenger GE no regular stutters.
-
With the Cargo PW Premium, I have graphics performance drops every second or so. This can be clearly seen in the FPS viewer in the Developer Mode in the upper graph with high red spikes.
The effect is a stutter every second, which is really very unpleasant. The frequency and intensity of the spikes change depending on the camera settings. It is very present in the external view.
I don't have this phenomenon in the A310 or Passenger PW, for example.
What could be the reason?

I have the same question/error, but I entered my correct SimBrief alias (username).
I also did a complete reinstall, but it seems to have remembered my previous SimBrief username entry somewhere.
Is there a way to delete all the settings for the A300 in the sim? Perhaps a clean entry from scratch will solve the problem.Solved. I entered the Pilot ID (Number) and it worked.

Hello everyone! Since the A300-600 is already of very high quality, I don't want to mess anything up with mods.
There is an "External Lights Fix" on the well-known add-on website and my question is whether it is really "necessary" to download.
I assume the lights adjusted by the mod are also fixed in the original version? Or will be?-

Hey guys!
I'm looking for a key assignment to change the frequency of COM1 Active/Standby. The small switch is very difficult to hit with the mouse and I can't find any way to assign it to a key in the Controls Options.
Thanks!
Alex
Edit: ...to change between the active and standby-frequency of COM1.

Hello to our dear A300 customers.
Firstly I hope you are well, and are enjoying this product.
Whilst there is a lot of discussion around our A310 product, I am sure there is a good few of you, interested in what is the status of this product; why there isn't a lot of information / discussion / updates here... Well, I hope to provide you with an extensive update here, and perhaps alleviate any potential queries or concerns formally. A lot of the information discussed thus far has been casually over our social media platforms. 🙂
To start, the A300 release was truly fantastic, and we learnt a LOT. This was our first aircraft product release in X-Plane 11 (flight simulation for that matter) and I am tremendously proud at what we accomplished. However, although a lot of our customers enjoy the product, there are a few areas that we felt needed to be improved and elevated to continue exceeding our customers expectations, and address some of the 'quirks' present in the current version.
To outline them below in a high level manner:
1. 3D model refinements [Customer feedback / New elements we would like to introduce]]
2. Flightmodel improvements (using the new, experimental flightmodel) [Customer feedback]
3. Failures [New feature we would like to introduce]
4. CDPLC/ACRAS Integration [New feature we would like to introduce]
5. Brand new sound sets [New improvements we would like to introduce]
6. System Improvements across the board
Although we only released the first version in August 2020, the team were quick to start work on these issues and plan a roadmap of what we need to do to continue integrating new features, taking into account customer feedback, and ensuring that we provide updates in a swift manner; not just quick fixes, but a true, enhanced update.
1. Since, we have invested in new resources and new team members and I am pleased to report that the exterior improvements will all be coming into the A300. This will also allow for a public paintkit. This has been one of the longer term solutions, and the team will be finalizing work on this post the A310. The A310 allowed us to also incorporate some optional cockpit features such as the standby compass, IDC/RMP radio units, texture enhancements, new PW model, GE/PW being changed live in sim, etc!
2. As we were able to tear up the 3D work, and refine certain areas, this allows us to go back and address some of the feedback provided regarding the flightmodel. I am pleased to report that work on this has gone fantastically well on the Beluga and A310 and the same methodology will be applied to the A300 along with our excellent source of performance data, that are integrated into the product. By allowing us to refine this area, we are able to provide you with an even better experience than you have now, which I am sure will be greatly appreciated!
3. Failures! Now this is a topic that is really quite interesting. If we recall our position on our product range; it is to provide an ON THE LINE experience; an immersive journey in flight from the pilot's perspective from one place to another! Based on customers' feedback we set out to incorporate more than 70 failures into our product range (note A300/A310 only). This really allows our customers to have the option to take their simulation that next step further for non-normal operations. This took a tremendous amount of time, and without our excellent technical consultants, would really not have been possible! Hundreds of ECAM memo updates and improvements!
4. A bit like failures, and our ethos of always trying to exceed our customers' expectations we have decided to be one of the first to provide comprehensive CDPLC/ACARS integration in X-Plane. This required the creation of a new unit within the cockpit the IDC/RMP. First featured on the Beluga product, this unit will be available in the A310 and the A300 update, and provides another immersive layer to the product, for those customers who like to use the online networks in their simming.
5. Our customers overall really enjoyed the sounds we provided with the aircraft, and was not on our priority list to update. However, we came across some excellent data post-release and just knew we had to improve the current offering! Therefore, in the A300 update you can expect significant improvements as will be available on the A310.
6. As we have had time to further refine so many areas of the aircraft; all systems have been reviewed, enhanced and improved from LNAV to the CGCC system, to improved wingflex; really a whole plethora of improvements all coming to the A300 (including Autosave!).
As I hope you can appreciate, this is a lot of work, and we cannot wait to showcase this, more, very soon. I felt this post was important, as mentioned above to really re-iterate we have not left our A300 customers behind... I completely appreciate why there may be this view, based on other X-Plane developer actions, but this is not what you should expect from iniBuilds. All I can do is say we are working as efficiently as possible to bring this to you ASAP. All the updates, and new features mentioned up will be coming for free in the A300 update...
We value our customers enormously, and want to ensure we are always providing the best products, with the best customer service as best as we can.
While things wrap up swiftly on the A310, full attention will be turned to the A300, along with our brand new iniManager in the works... no more full installs or re-installs 😉
Thank you for your time in reading this post, and happy to discuss further in the comments!
P.S - I hope to update you in the next few days on more information on our A310 product offering, the full comprehensive features list and 3 excellent introduction to the next jet in the family. A note that A300 customers receive a 35% discount on the A310.
Kind Regards,
Ubaid & the Team.
This sounds great!
Are you planning to release the A300-600R(F) in Microsoft Flight Simulator as well?

A300 no longer visible since SU3. Unsolicited installation of the compatible version via iniManager

If i install and enable (enabled by default) these modules (2024 premium variant!) via the inimanager, the a300 is disappearing from the sim:
(Dont understand either why the sim is showing the 2024 premium as 2020)
I double checked the folders, everything is fine. I also noticed that the compatible version is shown in inimanager as installed, though its not.
Switching in inimanager between installed and not installed always shows the compatible version.
The folder structure in the community folder shows that only the premium variant is installed.
Since the new installation of the liveries via the inimanager i also noticed, that the folder-names have been renamed since my previous installation. The structure is now clearer, but it seems there is something not right.
