  1. Hey all,

In prep for CTP on Saturday, I thought I'd see if the RTA/Time Constraint function is working in this aircraft. When I try and insert a time against a given fix on the VERT REV page, entering a time into the GMT field appears to do nothing, my entered data disappears and the display flashes as if I made an entry, but nothing appears next to GMT, nor does CLR GMT* appear, there is also no feedback either as to whether this function is operable or not.

I have cross checked with the FCOM and I believe I am doing everything as it should be, the only 'gotcha' I see is that entering one on the ground will cause it to be cleared once the aircraft transitions from T/O to CLB so have been trying to enter these whilst already in flight.

Is this function not simulated in this aircraft? Or could I be doing something wrong?

Any help more than appreciated 🙂

Are you sure the lever was in armed position and not slightly above/below the dent?

I have it assigned to an axis so it could have slipped slightly potentially. I'll try with a deadzone at the end. Thanks!

Arming happens at 0°; the position above it is the "OFF" position.

I thought this was the case but was second guessing myself after my first landing last night. I had the spoilers handle in this position but they didn't seem to deploy on touchdown. Is there any other condition that could prevent them from extending?

  4. Hi - I wondered if there is an Lvar for the A/THR instinctive disc pushbuttons on the thrust levers? I can't seem to find one. I am using the var for the A/THR pushbutton on the FCU at the moment but I assume this is not the usual procedure... I notice these buttons are not modelled on the virtual cockpit so I wonder if that is why there is no var for it?

    Thanks,

    Rob

  5. Hey,

I've noticed both Flightbeam's NZAA and your EGLL scenery are using the 'same' package name/module for VDGS, however I have noticed that despite that fact, having just one of them installed [to my community folder] does not work across both sceneries. EG. using the module supplied via Contrail for Flightbeam's NZAA does not work with the VDGS at EGLL - the display is just fully lit up and does not respond to the aircraft) and the opposite setup at NZAA I see the VDGS does not appear at all.

I have worked around this by renaming the packages for the relevant developers, so not a major issue.

Going forward, I did wonder if there are any plans to make the module universally compatible with other airports that use it?

    Thanks,
    Rob

  6. Picked up both the A300 and Beluga earlier this week (face palm moment when the summer sale went live a few days later!), had some great fun learning and flying both aircraft, as a fairly new user to X-Plane, I am absolutely in love with these aircraft! I think viewers of my stream also enjoyed it too.

Also any excuse to run a retro livery. 😄
