Critical bugs on Xbox 1.0.4

Featured Replies

Hi,

First off, I appreciate the hard work of both the Synaptic and Inibuilds teams on this project The extent to which you both reply to inquiries and follow up with updates is amazing!🙌🏽

The A220, while an absolutely gorgeous and cool aircraft still suffers from some critical bugs on 1.0.4 on Xbox.

I am using Xbox series X, with no addons except aircraft/airports, and during A220 testing I have been flying out of default non-handcrafted airports.

Performance

Framerate in single digits during flight, which makes handflying - takeoff and landing near impossible. This performance degradation happens from turning the DUs on, and gets progressively worse throughout a flight. At the end of the flight the sim also looks like Star Fox 64 because of the workload.

Bugs

  • Changelog for .3 noted new navdata cycle to be bundled is 2503, however its still 2410 as of 1.0.4.

  • It is not possible to update navdata at all in the databases page. (Clicking Load new databases yields no result/empty screen) This was tested in .3 and .4 with several resets of navigraph in between.

Lastly, which is pretty central to console users:

  • The aircraft doesn’t communicate with the default MSFS ATC - in any way.

Not only can you not hear the ATC, but you can not interact with it in any way either. The same goes for the AI copilot if you have this enabled. (Responding, setting squawk etc).

This is the only form of ATC console users have.

Hi,

Thank you for the kind words! We're always looking for ways to improve the user experience.

Synaptic is aware of the performance issues on Xbox and is actively working on optimizations to improve the aircraft's performance.

If you haven't already, I would suggest joining the Synaptic Discord, where their team may be able to offer further support and troubleshooting.

Thanks!

Hi!

I already posted this on the discord some time ago, but didn’t get a response, so someone suggested posting on this forum!:)

I know they’re working hard on performance which is fantastic.

However I am a bit worried about the Xbox related bugs I mentioned, as Xbox related bugs doesn’t seem to get a lot of attention other than the performance itself. I am sure they will work it out eventually, but I am just looking for anyone to at least comment that the reported bugs are seen.

Hi,

I can confirm that the ATC-related bugs you mentioned in your first post have been logged, and Synaptic is actively working on implementing the necessary changes.

Thanks!
