the current input documentation lists:

BRAKES

Applies brakes; ramps the commanded brake pressure up over time while held/repeated, and releases it back down once no longer pressed.

BRAKES_LEFT

Applies the left brake; in this implementation it ramps the same shared commanded brake pressure as BRAKES.

BRAKES_RIGHT

Applies the right brake; in this implementation it ramps the same shared commanded brake pressure as BRAKES.

This seems designed for buttons rather than proportional toe-brake axes.

Although the real A220 uses electrically actuated brake-by-wire, pedal operation should still be similar to a conventional system: proportional and independently controllable on the left and right sides.

Are AXIS_LEFT_BRAKE_SET and AXIS_RIGHT_BRAKE_SET supported? If so, how should they be configured? If not, is independent analog and differential braking planned?

It has been confirmed on the Discord channel that differential braking is not implemented. Therefore, pressing the right toe brake pedal, the left toe brake pedal, or both toe brake pedals together produces exactly the same result: the aircraft brakes but continues straight ahead and all four temperature sensors show exactly the same increase in their readings.

This is the first simulated aircraft I know of that behaves this way. We’re back to the days of FS5, when you had to press the period key to brake. This limitation should be clearly stated in the manual or in the product description under “Product Limitations”.

An alternative (and, in my opinion, incomprehensible) ground-steering logic has been implemented that allows the aircraft to maneuver in confined spaces only at speeds below one kt of GS, and without using differential braking, even though Airbus manuals also recommend it.

They went to the trouble of detailing the tube inside the wing beneath the spoiler, yet they did not model the brakes... I’m speechless and disappointed.
