7 hours ago7 hr Dear all,I hope you and your team are well. I was flying my first long-haul route from London Heathrow to Sydney, Australia. Please see the attached map. Please ask me if you want to similar route. Copyright is mine. Thank you. I used the Airbus A350-900 ULR (on loan to British Airways from Singapore Airlines). The takeoff was great to start with, and the flight was smooth. It was a long overnight journey of around 15 hours. Please see the attached images, and feel free to join or view my group:https://www.facebook.com/groups/captainmakomsfs2024All the images are screenshots from this journey and crashed.Once we entered Australian airspace at 39,000 feet, the autopilot suddenly disengaged. The captain’s autopilot stopped working, and I immediately tried to press the button, but nothing happened. I then tried the backup system using the First Officer autopilot, but again, nothing responded. It appears both autopilot systems failed.I attempted to fly manually, but it became impossible to maintain control of the aircraft. It then entered an uncontrollable descent and crashed near the Tiwi Islands.Could you please help explain:What might have happened? Why could this occur? How can it be prevented in the future? What could be done better on the next flight? Is there a file available that explains what happened?I look forward to hearing from you or your team.Thank you for your excellent work in creating the A350 family — I really enjoy flying them.Kind regards,Mark Stewart Edited 7 hours ago7 hr by Captain Mako MSFS 2024
3 hours ago3 hr You probabaly has been a victim of the called Ghost WASM (GWSM), when the simulation seems to be running but the is frozen. Buttons may move but they don't change the state of the plane. The clue you got into this problem is the slow deviation from the flight plane. My AUTOSAVE is set for 15 minutes and if I don't notice the (GWSM) the autosave runs out of slots and I can't recover the flight at failure point.I remember having one or two red screens WASM before, but after last update the GWSM has been a constant.Unfortunatly I don't know the solution for this problem but I'm posting here to give the thread some life and monitor it for possible useful answears.
