There is a potential fix in v1.0.4 coming that may address the issue of the spoilers not appearing visually post landing.

FWIW from what I've observed (with v1.0.3). My spoilers deploy fine on landing only if my autobrakes are actually armed too. When those autobrakes are not armed, the spoilers only deploy when I engage manual brakes.

Occasionally I had spoilers deploy automatically after I had unbound the speedbrake and thrustreverse axis each, but only for once. I hadn't pushed the "armed" autobrake button, since I didn't know that was possible back then.
