clarky Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago When in ARC mode on the nav display selecting any other mode (PLAN, NAV, VOR or LS) the range selector increases one level by itself. For example, starting with with 40 NM set on the range selector knob and the ND set to ARK. Set the ND to NAV and the range knob will move to 80 NM. This happens in both the left and right seat. The opposite is also true. When in any mode that is not ARC, the range will be decreased by one level when selecting ARC on the ND.

Have read about so many issues on here. 1

IniJamir Posted 46 minutes ago Posted 46 minutes ago Hello, this was provided to me regarding the ND Range Display Functions from the FCOM of the A350, hopefully this helps"In ARC mode, the ND range corresponds to the radius of the arc. In all ROSE modes and PLAN mode, the range corresponds to the diameter of the outer circle. Thus, in order to keep constant the distance displayed ahead of the aircraft mock-up: ‐ The ND range is doubled when the flight crew changes the ND mode from ARC mode, to any ROSE mode or PLAN mode ‐ The ND range is divided by two when the flight crew changes the ND mode from any ROSE mode or PLAN mode, to ARC mode."
