The_Flying_Freja Posted Friday at 09:53 PM Posted Friday at 09:53 PM Whilst I feel largely brushed off by customer service and am not impressed with the responses allegedly coming from the Kwikflight Team, I'm deciding to post it publicly. Because the response "Well the Testers didn't experience it" does not fly. I am also not the only one experiencing it, and ignoring it will not make it go away. Whilst I know different helicopters handle differently, the simple controlability and control usage are stark in contrast. For example I would expect 50% throttle to be that hover point, but anything less than about 80-90 results in sharp altitude loss depending on the stage of flight. Video #1: Comparison between Hunter and Striker in Takeoff, Hover, Straight Flight, Turning, Approach, and Soft Landing Capability.Video #2: I have turned off the tail rotor assist and I can confirm that has lessened the instability, AND the sharp turn is improved. However the Straight ahead flight still is kinked at a 30* angle. ALL videos are shot at the same time of day (12:00 Noon), same weather (Few Clouds), in the same location Mühlacker Hospital), with the same controls (Xbox Controller), and on the same system. NO assists are active except in Video#1 Tail Rotor Assist is on, but for Video#2, Tail Rotor Assist is OFF. My System: CPU: MD Ryzen 9 5950X, 16x 3.5 GHz GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Ti, 16GB GDDR7 RAM: 64 GB DDR4
choonzy Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago (edited) I wholly agree with these issues Freja. im experiencing exactly the same flight model problems. using a hotas and collective. its really very bad. Both issues make the heli extremely unpleasant to fly. I also cannot for the life of me balance out the COG. whether single pilot or both gunner and pilot,fuelled/unfuelled fully armed or lightly armed (please make fully unarmed available) The cog is still almost 2 feet out towards the tail rotor. I also cannot use any of the screens or toggle switches whilst in the gunners position . Is this deliberate? they have depress animations but are not functional. The on off knobs rotate but the buttons and switches (none of them) have any action at all. This is whilst the screens have already been switched on in the pilots position. the only switch that has any effect at all is the HMSD , but the rotary brightness does nothing. I have completed 2 reinstalls with the same results. Also this aircraft crashes out the sim regularly when returning to main screen menus, or exiting vr modes. Edited 22 hours ago by choonzy
IniJamir Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago Hello, Sorry you both were having these issues respectively, and thank you for the detailed explanations as well. I will pass this along to the KwikFlight team. 1
